what people aren't understanding about -N is you'll make coins slower, using more electricity.
For this coin to be worth the effort they will need to raise drastically in price to be worth mining.

for that simple fact, i'm pulling out as an IPO unless they change that. I signed up as IPO because it was script. wouldn't have ever gave any btc otherwise!
with scrypt i can make two times the profit and by a card quicker than i could with any coin that's -N

It doesn't matter if the algorithm is Scrypt or N-Scrypt, it's the same conditions for everyone. The block timer is still 60 seconds and the coin reward is still 20,000.
Let's say you have a GPU rig that amounts to 10% of the total hash rate for the coin. Regardless of algorithm, you would generate, on average, 2,000 coins every 60 seconds.

hi!
how many VTC i will get in one day with 500kh/s with poolmining?

Divide your hashrate by the difficulty and that'll give you a good idea

Anyone know what happened to kilovolt?

out of nowhere I was unable to login, then the site seemed to get defaced and BAM offline, and has been since?

Some sort of attack. He's restoring from backup.

Does that mean we lose whatever we mined but didn't get paid out?

Having trouble syncing your wallet?

Open notepad, and browse to C:\Users\YOURNAME\AppData\Roaming\Vertcoin

Open (if it's there) or create, if it's not there, a file called vertcoin.conf and paste this into it:

addnode=95.85.62.207
addnode=95.85.61.243
addnode=95.85.11.240
addnode=95.85.2.11
addnode=107.170.12.12
addnode=107.170.12.32
addnode=107.170.12.43

Now close and reopen the wallet and it will sync.

OTHER PEOPLE ADDING NODES ACCORDING TO THE HOWTO AT https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=404364.msg4938445#msg4938445 - PLEASE QUOTE AND AMEND THIS POST SO THE FULL NODELIST IS ALWAYS IN THE LATEST POST, AND ALSO QUOTE THIS BIT SO THE NEXT PERSON KNOWS TO DO THE SAME.

Added a couple nodes to the list (107.170.12.12/32/43), thanks for the great setup guide Boris!

I've tried 3 pools, I'm just getting (booooo)  0/33 hashes accepted etc...

anyone have any idea/

Try following this guide on difficulty adjustment: http://vtcpool.co.uk:9171/static/
