Re: A friend had a strange idea

isn't that illegal is some countries? also that would create a legit reason for banks to go against bitcoin (IMO).
better not do that.

Lol, I doubt banks are going to 'go after bitcoin' because people are defacing notes. I guess it might be ilegal to write on some countries notes but 1 you're very unlikely to get caught or prosecuted and 2, banks and shops write on banknotes all the time in my country so probably not illegal. I think it wouldn't be a bad idea but I wouldn't do it. Maybe just stenciling a bitcoin BTC would pique peoples interest though.

Re: Can Bitcoin make Banks disappear?
by

Bitcoin isn't going to make banks disappear. It's just meant to be an alternative payment/cash system. People will always need banks even if it's for just loans or whatnot. I suppose they could issue loans in bitcoin but banks will want to keep hold of the currency they can create/print/issue on their own will so in that respect bitcoin isn't preferable to them.

If you're talking about good foods to lose fat just cut down on fatty meats and sugary drinks/products and exercise more. When snacking eat fruit and drink plenty of water which fills you up. You could also go vegan. Let's be honest you never see any fat vegans.

Re: What's your biggest problem with Bitcoin
by
Mountain Jew
on 15/02/2016, 16:21:48 UTC
my biggest problem is that no shops in my city accept bitcoins so it is kinda hard to use it every day
I think you never see google. I often find stores that accept bitcoin, you can look it up on google. it is very much dude

I think you never google. Name me all the stores near you that accept bitcoin? There's even dedicated sites to seeing what shops accept it near your location and there's only a handful near me and none I really care to use. You pretty much can't spend bitcoins anywhere on the highstreet and you'll be lucky to even find one shop where u can spend your coins to be honest. Hopefully this will change in the near future but it's definitely a problem at the moment for those who actually want to spend their coins.

This guy is a professional troll and everyone hates him so he just tries ways to get people to hate him even more but this is pretty lame even by his standards and easily refutable. All he really wants is press hits and infamy and it looks like everyone is giving it to him. I'd just ignore him and he'll go away eventually.

I would say the fluctuations. Obviously it's not bad when they go up but Every-time I decide to finally spend a bit of my coins to buy something I want the price falls which is really annoying so I don't bother as I feel like I'll be losing money using it. Decided not to bother now and just hold them for long term in the hope that I can buy more for my money in the future.

I have made a parlay on the top three teams today: Atletico Madrid ML, Real Madrid ML, Barcelona ML @ 2.011. Good luck guys. Smiley

Where did you get those odds? Pretty safe bet I think though. I think both Real and Barca will get at least a couple of goals.

Probably to build by own house and travel the world. Don't really want much else and seem like realistic goals imo. Think people who have lofty dreams are just setting themselves up for dissapointment.

Re: Have you used Bitcoin as Real money to buy Real/physical goods?
by
Mountain Jew
on 08/12/2015, 11:29:40 UTC
I haven't bought any physical goods just digital or services, but I plan on saving my coins for a while until the point where you can easily buy goods and services in the real world with them. Hopefully by that time the price will have increased so I can get more for my coins too. Would be cool to spend them all around the world though which is what I'm hoping for so I don't have to exchange my coins or cash for local currency at each different place.

Re: What do you wish you could buy with btc ?
by

on 23/11/2015, 14:19:48 UTC
IF you're a bitcoin enthusiast it shouldn't be any one thing that you should be wanting to buy but everything. Hopefully this will happen one day and most merchants will eventually accept it directly or if not some sort of payment processor like apple pay or something else will facilitate bitcoin payments instead so we can still spend our coins.

Re: [2015-11-06] German Teen Sentenced in Darknet Drug Case

It funny how many of these grand schemes get unraveled due to one simple unanticipated event. This person took almost every precaution he could not to be discovered only for everything to come tumbling down due to a nosy neighbour.

It's almost impossible to run these markets without slipping up somewhere. It seems this guy was actually directly involved with the dealing though and wasn't just a Ulbruct type who created it and let others do the actual business. I wouldn't recommend running one from any western countries and make sure whatever country you are in doesn't have the death penalty for drugs offenses.

I'm going to watch this soon. Looks quite interesting. I watched Keanu's John Wick recently and wasn't impressed by that, though. Surprised they're making a sequel.

Re: Buying Bitcoin was a worst decision of my life
by
Mountain Jew
on 12/10/2015, 08:28:09 UTC
How many of you can admit that buying Bitcoin was a worst decision of your life? I can. I'm approximately -50% in fiat funds now.
Sooner or later some type of bank chain or coin will come and gain mass adoption - while bitcoin still remaining a geek coin
to buy weed.
I know this forum is more like a cult than a information channel what comes to honest opinions but I know there's others
on this forum who feel the same, almost all of us. Don't let your cult believer ego come in the way.

Worse decision of you WHOLE life? C'mon. Nobody is that boring.
Me, I'm still poking a toes in the waters of BTC, but its far form the WORSE decision in my whole life.
I mean once i enlisted in the military and didn't read the contract.
They didn't disclose everything in it anyways (or so i heard)

Well it certainly could be the worst mistake if you bankrupted yourself buying in at peak price and have now lost most your money. I think one guy on here sold his house to buy bitcoins though not sure how much he bought in at. Pretty sure op is just a troll though.

Well isn't this what we're all hoping? I can't see this sort of worldwide adoption happening but bitcoin can definitely go mainstream but not sure if it will replace every nations fiat money.

Rayo Vallecano v Dep. La Coruna i will go with over 1.5 goals for this match.
it's a good bet last match it end 1-2 and the one before 2-2 i think over 2.5 will be a good bet too

Buit who do you think will win. I was tempted by a three fold of Rayo West Ham & Best but can see the Rayo game being a draw... though then so could the West Ham hehe.

Re: How many friends did you recommend bitcoin to? Did they accept it?
by

My friends are pretty ignorant and think it's either a scam or a fad and will fail so there's no way I'll be able to get them into it. the only way they probably might is if the price skyrockets but then they will have probably missed the boat again.
