- The current PHP software, while ugly and sub-optimal in many ways, performs well, especially since I have extensively modified the backend to add features and improve performance. So I don't feel much urgency.
Hopefully with security in mind. It must be very tricky to run this ancient version of SMF on a security maintained PHP branche.

At that point, staking on the old (and new) chain stops.

Says who?
Is this a swap?
Whoops, I was wrong.

Am I still able to stake on the new SolarCoin blockchain?
No. The new SolarCoin chain is a proof-of-authority mechanism and does not allow for staking. Proof-of-authority is low-carbon, similar to SolarCoin Classic’s PoST consensus algorithm.

You can already migrate to the new ethereum solarcoin:
https://medium.com/solarcoin/migrating-to-ethereum-based-solarcoin-the-technical-guide-ad2de4dba152

At block 3932000, they will take a snapshot and populate the new blockchain.
While I'm typing this we are at block 3931412, so I guess within a few days?

At that point, staking on the old (and new) chain stops.

I'm staking already Cool
Just wanted to buy some more SLR for staking, but it seems hard to get.
I trade some SLR on Livecoin.net, but their SLR wallet is offline so I can't transfer Sad
Any other exchanges with a working wallet?

I recently joined SolarCoin using the SMA / Sunnyportal connection.
Had some problems first and got a 'validation error'. This was resolved by generating a new wallet address.

Anyway, it now says 'SolarCoinPending'. What's the average time for approval?

It is still interesting that he keeps it up.
'he'? You really think there still is a Chris that is behind this? I don't think so, for a long time.
Those weird messages that appeared on the website, it's just someone fooling around for fun. Probably having a hard laugh that we are even discussing this over here Smiley

Interesting, this might have something to do with the legal case started in 2015?

I do have my old wallet with the transaction ID. I was one of the fools that even tried to get hardware in 2015.
I tried to input my valid transaction id, but it just says "Unknown Transaction ID".
Doesn't seem to really work... duh...

True, but these are fun to use at so called luck / dice pools.
These miners use very little energy (5~10 watt). You can let them running for months on a solo pool and see if you are lucky to hit a block.
My favorite pool for this miner:
http://ltc.tbdice.org/

If you hit a block you'll get 25 LTC at once Smiley
It is like gambling.

They are also great to learn/start mining. Plug and play.

[SOLD] USB Scrypt miners "FutureBit Moonlander"
by
Mr. Jinx
on 30/01/2016, 18:07:16 UTC
I am selling some of the new USB Scrypt miners from jstefanop (see this topic for info).
These fun little and efficient USB sticks are very easy to start mining Scrypt. Although you won't make profit with this, you could try your luck on various lottery pools. If you little miner finds a block you get 99.5% of a full 25 LTC reward! Just let your miner do the work.

Last 5 units for 150 euro

Specs:
- 400kh to 1.2mh performance per miner
- uses about 5w/mh for most of that range
- fully customizable core voltage range from .7 - 1.1v
- Really efficient 5v->core voltage stage with about 95% efficiency
- Heavy duty/over speced parts were used to ensure wide range of operation (this thing can put out 20amps if you wanted to push it that far)
- status LEDs for power, TX and RX transmission
- uses latest bfgminer 5.4 for control
- Will work with all Mac OS, Linux, and Windows based PCs (and I will be offering easy to use pre-compiled binaries)
