Re: All eyes on Japan in 2018

Agree with the author. After a tremendous 2017 with BTC going mainstream and so many altcoins posting multiple digit profits, it was hard to lose money. Now 2018 could be a year with increased selectivity and picking the right coins will become more important. MONA definitely a card to play.

can we get more info on this coin? i'm sure lots of people are very interested by their main site looks like hot garbage.

can we still mine this coin?  how?

where are the latest news? slack? reddit? twitter?

The main community is [ https://askmona.org ]
However, this site is like a startup laboratory written in Japanese and it is noisy.

In the English community,
I think that [ https://www.reddit.com/r/monacoin/ ] is the most reliable.

Resourceful websites with more info on this coin, if you understand Japanese, are bitcoinlab.jp and www.crypto-currencies.jp

Check-out MONA (Monacoin). It's the Japanese crypto-currency, lauched about 3 years ago, and it is likely to have a bright future with the rise of altcoins.
For those who can read Japanese:

Re: I am pretty confident we are the new wealthy elite, gentlemen.

http://astrohacker.com/ahc/bitcoin-is-the-economic-singularity/

After reading this, the scale of black market and digital economies and the effect Bitcoin will have on them I am pretty certain we are going to be very wealthy men -- even with a sum as small as 10 Bitcoins. It's just so hard to believe. We are only in the beginning storms with these significant rallies from 10 to 20 dollars. I will not be surprised to see prices from hundreds to thousands in the coming months.

The world just isn't going to be the same and we have been blessed as the pioneers.

What are you going to do with your Bitcoin wealth once your coins hit upwards of $10,000 a pop?

The very first thread of this discussion forum was posted 6 years ago... Today, with the BTC soaring above 1'800+ and still more great stuff to come, the title of this thread, referring to "the new wealthy elite", couldn't be more true, gentlemen.

Re: [ANN] Zclassic, Zcash Fork No Premine, No 20% Founders Tax

Was there any evidence the "secret key" was destroyed as it was with the original ZCash? Or do we have to fear that new coins will just appear out of nowhere?

It is not that they appear just out of nowhere? Crypto coins are open-source, like ZCash. Thankfully, that's how ZClassic emerged right after ZCash code was released.

I rememberd in january, it was like 0.07$ or something, and i curiously looked today to check the price after seeing a small growing on zcash, and i tought it was 0.09$ and then I SAW 0.9$ and freaked out!!!  Cheesy
This is the pirate coin lol
It may even overcome the original coin, who knows? Network effects are the only thing that matters.

I think there's gonna be a small dump now, i'm gonna wait so i can buy more Cheesy

The small "dump" did happen today, 3 days after your post! Rocketed at 14E-4 BTC, almost double of where it was on 28 Feb.
Time to buy some more now!

Can someone explain why this was forked to begin with?  Was it just to remove the 20%. Looks like it has slightly higher supply.
no founders tax and no slow start which ZEC had

In short, while having all advantages of Zcash, Zclassic remains true to the spirit of what a cryptocurrency should be.

Zclassic very much has its website: Try zclassic.org
This said, Zclassic better buys the .com url to make sure nobody gets mislead!
