What is BuyBitcoin.ph?

BuyBitcoin.ph is one of the first services in the Philippines to engage in Bitcoin buying and selling. The website is run by Satoshi Citadel. Satoshi Citadel also owns other Bitcoin service sites like Bitbit.cash and Rebit.ph. While you can do a lot of things in Coins.ph, Buybitcoin.ph is exclusively for buying and selling bitcoins.

Advantages of Buying Bitcoin at Buybitcoin.ph

1.Payment (Conversion to Bitcoin) is fast once the payment is confirmed.
2.Recognized by the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas.
3.As the first in PH, BuyBitcoin.ph is truly a pioneer buy and sell bitcoin site in the country.

Disadvantages of Buying Bitcoin at Buybitcoin.ph

1.You are also KYC’d (Know your Customer). That means BuyBitcoin.ph knows who you are and what you do for a living. With Bitcoin as an anonymous payment method, the KYC seems ironic. However, this is one of the rules set up by the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas and by the service to protect the site from being used for unintended activities.

What can you do with the bitcoins you bought from BuyBitcoin.ph?

Buybitcoin.ph is not a bitcoin wallet. Once you bought BTC on the site, it will get transferred to your bitcoin wallet immediately. If you transfer it to their wallet site “bitbit.cash”, you can do just about the same things you can do with the bitcoins on your Coins.ph account

Overall

Buying bitcoins at buybitcoin.ph is one of the simplest ways to engage in bitcoin transactions in the Philippines. Its no-hassle approach – its positioning as a buy and sell bitcoin site makes things uncluttered and uncomplicated for the user.

Korean banks to close accounts linked to virtual currency trading.
https://www.facebook.com/arirangtvnews/videos/1552411234841127/

South Korean regulators have announced a plan to ban banks from activities involving cryptocurrencies, prompting major banks in the country to declare they will no longer issue accounts required for crypto trading. South Korea’s top bitcoin exchanges are all effected, including Bithumb, Coinone, and Korbit. Banks that have made announcements include Shinhan Bank, Korea Development Bank, and Industrial Bank of Korea.

Crypto Ban Planned for Banks, Minors, and Foreigners
The South Korean government has been holding meetings daily to discuss cryptocurrency regulation. On Wednesday, local publications reported that the regulators are planning to ban banks from activities involving cryptocurrencies. According to AFP:

In addition, Korea Herald reported that “banks in Korea that provide virtual bank accounts for cryptocurrency trades will have to verify the identification of account holders when creating new ones,” according to the plan. Furthermore, the regulators plan to ban minors and foreigners from both trading in cryptocurrency and creating bank accounts in the country.

Virtual bank accounts are issued by traditional banks for customers of cryptocurrency exchanges. A customer wanting to start trading at a crypto exchange must first open a virtual bank account and deposit money into it. All major Korean exchanges, including the country’s largest bitcoin exchange Bithumb, require customers to open virtual bank accounts before trading. The Kyunghyang Shinmun described:

Banks Ditching Crypto Accounts
Wednesday’s announcement marks the first time the regulators have applied restrictions on virtual bank accounts.

The country’s major state-run and commercial banks immediately responded by announcing that they will stop issuing new virtual bank accounts for cryptocurrency exchanges. Some are even canceling existing accounts, Arirang News reported, adding that:

If a bank closes an exchange’s virtual bank accounts, then “it is fundamentally impossible to sell and buy virtual currencies through the bank,” Business Korea noted.
Among the banks that have decided to stop issuing virtual accounts are Shinhan Bank, Korea Development Bank (KDB), Industrial Bank Of Korea (IBK), Woori Bank, KB Kookmin Bank, and KEB Hana Bank.

Shinhan Bank, which issues virtual accounts for Bithumb and Korbit, will not issue new virtual accounts but will not cancel existing accounts, according to the Kyunghyang Shinmun. In November, news.Bitcoin.com reported on the bank launching a cryptocurrency custody service.

The state-run KDB which issues virtual bank accounts for Coinone announced that it will “stop all the businesses related to cryptocurrency transactions, including bitcoin, from January next year,” Business Korea reported on Wednesday.

Woori Bank which issues virtual bank accounts for Korbit is taking the same approach as KDB. The bank will cancel existing virtual accounts as well as suspend issuing new ones. IBK Bank, KB Kookmin Bank, and KEB Hana Bank have all stopped issuing virtual accounts.

At the time of writing, Nonghyup Bank has not made an announcement regarding the matter. According to the Investor publication, this bank provides virtual account services to several exchanges including Bithumb, Coinone, and Korbit.

What do you think of the South Korean government’s plan to ban banks from dealing with cryptocurrencies? What do you think will happen to the Korean crypto market? Let us know in the comments section below.

You'll need a Bitcoin wallet before you buy since some exchanges require one.

Don't have a wallet? Read our guide on the best Bitcoin wallets.

1.*CoinmamaCoinmama  Popular  Buy Bitcoin Read Review
Coinmama allows customers in almost every country to buy bitcoin with a credit or debit card. They charge an ~6% fee on each purchase.

If buying less than $150 worth of bitcoins, you won't need to verify your identity. This convenience makes small purchases quick and easy.

Want to buy using Coinmama? This step-by-step guide will show you how to use Coinmama.

*PROS
Works in almost all countries
Highest limits for buying bitcoins with a credit card
Reliable and trusted broker
CONS
Some of the highest fees among credit/debit card bitcoin brokers

2*LocalBitcoins  Popular  Buy Bitcoin Read Review
LocalBitcoins is an escrow service which also helps to match bitcoin buyers and sellers. The most common method of payment for purchase is cash deposit. However, users may advertise trades for whichever payment method they prefer.

Buying bitcoins via an in-person meeting, secured and facilitated by LocalBitcoins, may be one of the fastest and most private ways to buy bitcoins in any country.

PROS
Can be private, fast and easy
In-person trades require no personal information
Purchases of bitcoin can be made quickly via cash deposit
CONS
Beware of scams; always follow the rules!
Harder to buy large amounts of bitcoins compared to large exchanges
Slightly to significantly higher prices than regular exchanges; premium for higher privacy

3*BuyBitcoin.ph's brokerage service is the easiest way to purchase bitcoins in the Philippines. The interface is very easy to use for first-time buyers. You can use cash or various online payment methods.

PROS

CONS
Rates won't be as good as the trading exchanges in the Philippines

Fees fall as low as 0% with sufficient trading volume
CONS

CONS

9*Technically, VirWoX isn't even a Bitcoin exchange. It mainly serves as a way for people to buy Second Life Lindens, a currency used in the virtual world Second Life. You can't buy Bitcoin with PayPal directly at VirWoX, but it's possible to first buy Second Life Lindens (SLL) and then trade your SLL for Bitcoin. This process works perfectly, but in the end will cost you about 10% in fees.

This workaround/hack has made VirWoX the easiest and most popular way to buy bitcoins with PayPal.

PROS
The easiest and basically only way to purchase bitcoins with PayPal or Skrill
CONS
Comes with a price: it will cost around 10% in fees to buy with PayPal

Fees are reasonable for larger traders
CONS
Need altcoins or other digital tokens to use.

GOD day po ulit!!! sa pagrereseach ko po,wla pong BDO ang lubas pero may PNC Bank na lumabas, pakita basa nalang poh ito...

The PNC bank recently threatened one of their customers for purchasing bitcoin. The bank wanted to shut down the customer’s account. This has been a story floating around the internet the last few days. The victim was Elitoohey. He elaborated on the situation in a Reddit post, saying the bank started by asking him questions about recent bitcoin purchases.

at ito po yun nangyari...

The banker wanted to know why he was purchasing bitcoin. The bank PNC Bank Threatens to Close Customer's Account for Buying Bitcoinseemed to be concerned about him buying and owning the digital currency. They goaded him about his purchase and pried into his business.

Toohey said, “He asked me to confirm a couple transactions then asked, ‘For what purpose are you buying Bitcoin?’ (he saw Coinbase and Xapo transactions). I told him I wouldn’t answer, he then asked ‘What are you going to do with the Bitcoin?’ I again told him I wouldn’t answer.”

The conversation escalated to the level of threats.

“Exit the Relationship”
The banker went on to tell Toohey that their security team would “exit the relationship” with him if he did not provide them with information. Under their threats and pressure, Toohey relented. He provided them with information, because he appears to not want to close his account and change banks.

I relented and told him “for investment purposes” hoping to avoid needing to switch banks. He said he thinks that might satisfy them but that PNC Bank wants nothing to do with Bitcoin.

The Story Emerges as Influential Bankers Voice Concerns
This story crops up as more news emerges of bankers and well known investorsPNC Bank Threatens to Close Customer's Account for Buying Bitcoin voice concerns about bitcoin and cryptocurrency. They are usually calling it a fraud as with the case of Jamie Dimon, or talking about how it is a bubble ready to pop in the case of Ray Dalio.

About two days ago, naging balita po na ang  ating Central Bank ay nakatanggap ng 12 applicatin ng mga exchanges, ganun na kaganda or kadami ang demands dito sa bansa natin, according din po sa data nila ay around $6Million na po ang nagiging transaction natin monthly. A good news para sa lahat, sa tingin niyo po ba magiging daan na to para maencourage na ang ating gobyerno na ilagay din to sa stock markets?

https://www.cryptocoinsnews.com/philippine-central-bank-reviewing-12-bitcoin-exchange-applicants/
ito mga boss,mapppapaWOW kayo!!!
MANILA, Philippines - The Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas has approved the registration of two companies to engage in the operation of bitcoin exchanges as part of efforts to regulate the fast growing but potentially risky virtual currency industry.

BSP Governor Nestor Espenilla Jr. said during the FinTech Thought Leadership Roundtable Series presented by FINTQ, the central bank has given the two companies the green light to operate bitcoin exchanges.

“They are local based but they have international roots,” Espenilla said.

Bitcoin is a type of digital currency in which encryption techniques are used to regulate the generation of units of currency and verify the transfer of funds. People could buy and sell bitcoins by tapping dealers or brokers or going to bitcoin exchanges.

Holders could also look for services or goods whose merchants accept bitcoin payments.

Last January, the BSP issued Circular 944 laying down the guidelines for virtual currency exchanges. It is the policy of the central bank to provide an environment that encourages financial innovation while at the same time ensure that the Philippines will not be used for money laundering or terrorist financing activities and that the financial system and financial consumers are adequately protected.

Thus, the regulator recognizes that virtual currency systems have the potential to revolutionize the delivery of financial services, particularly for payments and remittance, in view of their ability to provide faster and more economical transfer of funds, both domestic and international, and may further support financial inclusion.

“We see a rapid increase in the trajectory. It is coming from a small base but increasing that is why we decided to require them to register,” Espenilla said.

The BSP chief said volume has more than doubled to about $6 million per month from only $2 million per month the previous year.

“That is the importance of putting them under the regulatory framework. They have to comply with it. We are moving to regulate them,” he said.

The BSP circular states virtual currency exchanges providing a facility for the conversion or exchange of fiat currency or government-issued currency to virtual currency are considered similar to remittance and transfer companies and should be covered by Republic Act 9160 or the Anti-Money Laundering Act of 2001.

Meanwhile, Espenilla said the BSP is also set to issue an information technology (IT) risk management framework to upgrade its basic framework under Circular 808 issued in 2013.

“It will have enhanced expectations on cybersecurity risk management, that is one. It will further open up the use cases for cloud technology in banking applications, and the third one it if further strengthen the governance responsibilities of the banks boards and management to make sure that the IT systems of their institutions are robust and resilient to cyber crime as well as disasters,” he said.

According to him, banks invested heavily level up their IT management.

“Banks today are less concerned about regulatory requirements for their own risks. Even without regulations, a bank is very vulnerable to cybercrime and can lose money much more than any other penalty,” he said.

Hi!! I want to start trading but dont have enough knowledge about it can you give me guys some tips and advice. And may site ba na ginagamit sa trading pag mag sstart like sa stock market merong col.financial to help me.
ito boss niresearch ko to...Trading is an active style of participating in the financial markets that seeks to outperform traditional buy-and-hold investing. Rather than trying to profit from long-term uptrends in the markets, traders look for short-term price moves to profit in both rising and falling markets.

As a trader, one of the most important things you can do to improve your chances of success is to approach trading as a business. A successful trading business requires a strategic plan that covers your actual business and your actual trading. Your business plan will include things like short and long-term goals, the amount of capital you have available for the business and how you will set up your office. Your trading plan includes the details of trading: what you will trade and how you will trade it. Your plan should be so objective and concise that you could hand it over to another trader and they would be able to execute it exactly.

yan lang po mga boss...GOD BLESS PO!!!

Re: BSP: Nagbabala sa pag iinvest sa Bitcoin.

on 12/12/2017, 05:58:10 UTC
Mga bro , ano masasabi nyo dto na mismong BSP na ang nagbabala at may ilang tao na din from congress na nagsasabi na mag ingat sa pag iinvest o oagbili ng bitcoin. Makakatulong ba o hindi para sa atin.

https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=1081010912055662&id=163550757135020
Filipinos hoping to cash in on the bitcoin craze were warned by the chair of the House banks and financial intermediaries committee on Wednesday about the risks of investing in cryptocurrency, as the price of bitcoin surged to $10,000.

Eastern Samar Rep. Ben Evardone urged Filipino investors not to part with their hard-earned money by buying bitcoins in the hope of making quick profits.
At the hearing of the committee on banks and financial intermediaries Tuesday, officials from the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas and the Securities and Exchange Commission, and representatives from the banking sector, “were one in advising the public against investing in bitcoin or any other virtual currency,"He said".

“They said it is very risky, speculative and [has] no safeguards,” Evardone said in a statement.

The price of bitcoin hit the $10,000 mark on Wednesday.
Evardone said Filipinos might get tempted into putting all their savings and retirement funds into bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies “without realizing that they could lose everything in one drastic plunge.”

“Cryptocurrencies like bitcoin are a promising low-cost remittance platform for Filipino workers sending their earnings home but they are extremely risky investments due to lack of regulatory protections for consumers,” he said.

Bitcoins and other electronic currencies are not backed by a bank, any existing currency unit in circulation, or any asset of tangible value that offer some degree of security for its buyers.

“Investors stand to lose everything overnight if exchange platforms for cryptocurrencies shut down or when the consumer’s virtual wallet containing confidential information is hacked or stolen,” Evardone said.

He cited the biggest cryptocurrency hacking incident in February 2014 when $460 million worth of bitcoins was lost in Japan in the infamous Mt. Gox case.

Another cryptocurrency, tether, was the subject of the most recent hack early this month resulting in a reported loss of $31 million, according to Evardone.
Until enough safeguards are put in place, investors would be well-advised to heed the admonitions of the Bangko Sentral and the Securities and Exchange Commission to put their money in safer investments,” he said. /cbb
