hi, 144/5 seems to be broken on dual (btg+zil) mining on vram adjusted cards

Hi Mr.merson,
Sorry for the late reply.
How much ram do you have on gpu? Possibly there is a better kernel to run btg+zil with low ram.

Maybe you could try adding --mode=14, or --mode=15.

Let us know how it goes.
Cheers

gp106-3GB. Haven't you thought about the need to do a memtweak rework? GDDR5 memories also benefit from "memory time" one of the few miners that applied correctly this function was t-rex and nbminer reached speeds of 24-26 mhs on ethehash based algorithm, it would be beneficial for mining zil and pascal series https://imgur.com/a/TdV52Rg

If someone finds a way to decode and re-encode the memory timings for HBM1 it would be of great help nowadays, I've heard comments that you can get a lot of performance out of it as far as kawpow and etchash... The biosmods of these cards were lost in limbo

Also here I leave my grain of sand, these are timing that I found by chance in the forum and implanted it in the vbios (they are slow timing) maybe it can be useful for someone

https://www109.zippyshare.com/v/my2xJZr0/file.html <------ It has a minimum voltage of 775 mv so there is a large margin for undervolting PD, disclaimer, I am not responsible for the damage caused although the changes are very minimal compared to the original bios, it applies only to the nitro version of sapphire

PD2, in case of failure these cards have dual bios, change to the main one and repair the secondary bios with a previously made backup

I guess in terms of performance and efficiency the nano is ahead in architecture fiji PD, they released a version for ETC + KASPA for these cards with lolminer

PD, in any case if it has the shortened version (the fury with 56 cu sapphire) I can upload the vbios with the modified timing and you will be able to verify that amdmemtweak does not reflect the changes although in mining it behaves differently

I have version 64cu and I can applay timing with amdmemtweak it reflect to some algorithm as Argon2d-nim hash from 360 KH/s to 400 KH/s. But now not time to mine NIM

I suppose that the versions of 56 have a bottleneck due to the missing cu.

Does anyone still keep memory strap modded in hexadecimal format or at least biod mod? I have the original straps but I have no way to decode it, there is nothing related to the HBM memories (linux user, amdmemtweak doesn't work there on fiji-HBM architecture)

What the mining result with memory strap modded?

amdmemtweak work fine on HiveOS. You can run command with menu "Run Command".
example command "amdmemtweak --REF 17000 --RFC 48 --RC 20 --RCDR 6 --RCDW 6 --RCDRA 6 --RCDWA 6 --R2W 6 --W2R 6 --FAW 1"

If you have good strap mod command, let me know it, I have 10 Fury NANO  Cheesy

I am precisely in hiveos and apparently it does not seem to work, as an example I have implanted straps in vbios and amdmemtweak apparently does not reflect the changes

I have confirmed that the changes can be "remarkable" I have some timing strap that I got on the internet but I don't know for sure what changes there are in those straps because I haven't found tools to decode it (there is only for GDDR5)

What do you think about teamredminer and its R mode? I think it also solved the hash loss in new generations (only amd) but I don't know if it is related to the problem with the pascal series

These cards suffer a strange problem with the passing of time the hash in ethereum degrades, the max I have seen running it in linux was 50mh / s with a large power consumption in consequence

this can be a great opportunity for those who have free energy even some old generations of graphics cards are still compatible with the Verthash algorithm on the other hand the great profitability may not last for long..

Re: ETH 1660ti Mobile version 6GB vram getting bad hashrate
by

Am I missing something here? I know the dag file increased which makes 4gb cards useless but my laptop gpu has 5991MB of vram and I'm still only able to hash around 15.5 Mh/s this card is suppose to reach 28-30 Mh/s. Does nvidia require a bios update like AMD that I am not aware of?

According to whattomine and some other site this card should be around 28-30 Mh/s.

I can't find any info on this card about anyone having bad hashrates so I'm not sure what to do at this point. I have been mining CFX Octopus since it's getting good hash rates but i'd much rather be mining ether!

I'm hashing CFX Octopus at 27 Mh/s! I know it's a different algorithm but still. I'm confused.

GPU-Z Screenshot

Do a quick test with hiveos (from usb), it is well known that some cards are affected by performance loss due to progressive size of the ethereum dag file (Windows only).

according to the gtx 1070 it was affected by a design problem, the curious thing is that there is not much recent information on the loss of performance in mining ethereum due to the dag issue

What are the drivers specifically recommended for Windows 7 64 bits?

I have installed 20.4.2, 20.9.2, 19.12.2, 20.1.3, 20.1.2 beta blockchain and they all send me the following error when writing the dag file "GPU1: Allocating buffers failed with: clCreateBuffer (-61)." (some don't even show the error)

4GB VRAM graphics card
Archive pag file 20GB

On the other hand, in windows 10 I have no problem, but I use windows 7 for more comfort

Likewise I have no problem with other mining software with the mentioned drivers, is it something related to phoenixminer?
