Hei,

Your DGB-Skein pool has an issue for me. One of my workers connects but doesn't receive any work.
Any idea what's wrong ? Is there a private way I could contact you ?

Thank you

Edit: NVM, I changed some settings and got it to work.

Hahaha! No, my walls are always on the selling side. I only dump on crap coins and UTC is not one of them.
To be honest, I don't really understand why UTC doesn't have more support, it's a good coin.
I am not saying this to boost is value, since I doubt a post on a forum will affect its price, but 5 sec transaction time, Scrypt-Chacha algo?
I mean, from a practical point of view, it's better than most alt-coins, if anything, its place is up there next to VTC and Dark.

My only concern with UTC is the devs.

do not worry everybody, i have 100 BTC and i will buy 10,000,000 UTC at 0.00001
buy some more,my hreo,it's the best chance.

are those walls on cryptsy, yours, utcminer? Smiley

Some were mine. I still have lots of more UTC for you guys. No worries.
on the sell or the buy side? Smiley

Sad if he have lots and lots more UTC then it is on the sell side off course !

If he sells them now then he dumps for lower then lowest prices.

If he sells now for that prices he is a dumper (off course he has all the right to dump if he want and when he want).

But if somebody dumps at those low prices it is not something to be proud off.

Then it is not a UTC supporter.

Because selling at those stupid prices is harming UTC.

NO, I called in two friends to help out, but its not only us.
Somebody fixed something  Cool
IDK whats going on, but yeah it seems to be normalizing.

I hope for some explanation soon  Huh

P.S. Maybe they should stop the ultracoinpool for a few hours a day, till people learn to change pools, like we did with Ultra.Nitro a few months back!
I can't take those orphan losses forever.

I have been mining on ultracoins.info, but the orphans are killing us.
They really need to do something.

Finally some other people noticed.
It has been behaving strangely since this morning!
I bragged that I have lots of experience in mining, but what I see is a first for me,.. no EXPLANATION at all.

It is as if someone is mining the coin while hiding the hashrate.

Blocks are still found but ..

ultracoins.info : Next Network Block    445,982    (Current: 445,981)
ultracoinpool: Next Network Block    445,984    (Current: 445,983)
Last Block Found    445,932
Time Since Last Block    29 minutes 45 seconds

Looks like a fork to me.

There is something wrong with the pools!  Huh
Please check your N-Factor!

We trying to contact our pool dev Thiago to see what is the problem...

We can still not reach Thiago properly.

But I guess the problem is that the hashrate is not spread properly with the danger of a 51% attack and the network getting forked !

At this moment there is 8,6 MH/s at Ultracoinpool.info and only 0,30 MH/s at Ultracoins.info

PLEASE TO ALL MINERS : SPREAD THE HASH RATE NOW !!!

http://learncryptography.com/51-attack/

I am have been mining on ultracoins.info. But I was getting roughly half the coins I should have.
I don't think this is the issue.

I think UTC forked.

EDIT: Yes, it's forked. The whole network is not working properly.

Given today's dump, I think this is an attack.

If this were true would it be a good idea to close your wallet and keep it offline?

If it forks the developers have to release a new wallet.
But this is not the case. Something else is happening.

Are you mining ?

EDIT: My bad. No, it didn't forked. It looks ok now.

But coin generation seems very very strange. Something definitely not right with the network.

POS is the end of UTC.

The last pump and dump before its end.

I really liked this coin and I thought it had a future right there next to DRK, VTC and BC.
But I guess the developers have other plans.
Can you maybe deliver some arguments to substantiate your theory instead of just throwing buzzwords, please?

History of all other POS coins that have all been pumped and dumped into oblivion.

The most successful alternative coins to litecoin are those that champion different algorithms.
Making ULT POS basically makes it abandon the algorithm market. It's strong point was the scrypt-jane algo.

BTC is going to continue to climb over the next few months and, if things just keep chugging along as they are, the VTC trend may not reverse itself anytime soon. A few pumps here/there will certainly be sprinkled in but, as somebody mentioned earlier, all that does is create some easy exit points and further weaken things. I think a reverse-multipool would be a good idea so that people can mine scrypt coins and auto-trade for VTC (this is what we're building for Murraycoin once it goes Scrypt-2048) - it helps to counteract the auto-dumps coming the other way and stabilize things. Perhaps this already exists but maybe marketing should be improved for it/them as it offers a great way to help level the playing field. Most of what needs to be done should be coming from the community; too many people sit around, helpless, begging for updates and waiting for the dev to come save the day (as a coin dev myself, I know the feeling) - it needs to be a community effort. If the coin isn't broken... let the dev worry about the coin, the integrity of the network, etc and the community should be handling everything else.

+1

HAHAHA!

I must have mined and dumped thousands of Murry and OctoCoins a few months back.
I mined Murry for a long time actually because I really liked the dev team and its goal.

I've. sent 1k UTC to another address with -0.00001 UTC as fee and after 12 hours I still have 0 confirmations.

I have fixed my HW errors by doing a clean removal of 14.6 drivers and installing 13.12.

Currently hashing at 2.5 MH/s with 1075 core OC.

EDIT: an hour later the system froze. I didn't have this problem before with X11.

14.6 is in beta, 14.4 is more stable.

With 14.4 I get horrible performance on n-scrypt. So I guess 13.12 is for now.

Has anybody had any luck with this software with the new Catalyst 14.6 beta drivers?

I just gave it a try and was initially very excited because I was getting hash rate of 4 MH/s on my 280X. Then I noticed that I was getting lots of HW hardware errors, which I had none before. No matter how much I lower the intensity (tried 11) I still get lots of HW errors. I then tried deleting the new x11modTahitiglg2tc8192w128I4.bin and restoring the old .bin file (from Catalyst 14.4) and now I get no HW errors but my hash rate isn't quite as good as it was previously.

Why would the new Catalyst drivers change the OpenCL compiling so dramatically to cause hardware errors?

I have 13.12 and no matter what settings I try I just keep getting HW errors with the x13mod.
I haven't tried with 14.4.

Regarding OpenCL in the new 14.4 drivers, this is an interesting issue:
