hey everyone, I just installed some 1080 Ti's in my rig and would like to know how I can set them up as a separate profit miner from my 1070's?

I have 3x GTX 1070's and 2x GTX 1080 Ti's now and I cannot benchmark them separately and save individual performance profiles. the cards have two seriously different performance capabilities, so this is an issue.

is there a way to accomplish this with the free version or do I need to buy it to unlock this function?

thank you very much Smiley

I recently started to use Awesome Miner, and indeed... it is Awesome!!!
Searching the net I could not find a clear answer for my (probably noob) question:
I have 6 AMD card running for Mining Pool, now I want to add a NVIDIA card, is it possible?
Searching in Awesome Miner I cannot find anything , it looks like you have one choose, AMD or NVIDIA and you cannot combine, but I might be overlooking something....

you create another profit miner using the nVidia profile rather than the AMD.

keep in mind, if you're CPU mining, you won't be able to make an nVidia miner since the free version is only good for two licenses/miners.

hey all, I'm looking for some configuration advice.

system specs are:
Pentium G4650 w/stock cooler
Astock H110 Pro BTC+
8GB (2x 4GB) Crucial DDR4 2133mhz Value RAM
Windows 10 Pro 64
4x MSI GTX 1070 iTX
4x PNY GTX 1070 Blower (non FE)
1x Sapphire RX580 Nitro+ LE

originally I had the 8x GTX 1070's for mining while using the G4650 IGP as my video out, but I had issues with Windows seeing cards that AM didn't and sometimes, Windows would even drop GPU's. as a hail mary, I disabled the IGP and went video out on one of the 1070's and my problems seemed to have gone away.

now I want to add the RX 580 to the mix and I'm just wondering if anyone has some advice on making the nV driver and Radeon driver play nicely with each other.

I plan on getting one of those headless USB/HDMI dongles, as I plan on managing my miners via Teamviewer only. speaking of which, does anyone know if I need to have a keyboard/mouse plugged into the board if I'm going to use TV13? be nice if I can just have the PC there with no peripherals cluttering up space. Tongue

thank you very much for the help! Smiley

with AM being so big and having as many users, why don't they have a dedicated forum to discuss it and its nuances?   Cry

question about buying an AM license. if there's a group of us that are all running the same thing, with the same settings, can we share an Enterprise license with the multi-user login? or does that break the ToS?   Huh

First thanks for this awesome software.  I found your software ware after nicehash went down.  I am just learning this software so I am sure my question is easily answered.

I have benched my cards and have begun mining.  As I am mining, I notice about 90% of the time my mining will go from a constant $13.30 per day then dwindle down to under $3 a day and it will not switch algo's.  I expect this based upon market, etc but it does not switch.  I have to manually stop the miner and restart it.  At that time it find a better algo and begins that course.

Is there a setting that I am missing?  Maybe a setting where I can say no less than $10 a day then switch?

I have 4 GTX 1070's.

Thanks for your help.
when you created your miner, did you choose profit miner? you also need to be part of more than one pool. for GPU's, Neoscrypt and Equihash are most profitable, so I have those two algorithms chosen over Zpool and Hashregister as my mining pools.

keep in mind, what AM reports as profit is not always accurate. there's delay in updates as everything switches so frequently, so check your wallet balances on the pools day to day to see what your production average is.

lastly, make sure you do a precise benchmark for the algorithms you are mining. you only need to do it once as the profile applies to the 1070's you have. if you had a mix of cards, you would need to benchmark each model, but if they're all the same, even if different brand (MSI vs EVGA vs PNY etc), you don't need to worry.

wow...so many questions and not much in the way of answers.   Huh

I am a sad panda.  Sad

if someone is up to answering...is there a way to get realistic reports on production/profit? the figures showing in the app do not match anything near what the pools show in their wallets. it'a quite the deficit. my six 1070's were showing about $5 each/day, but after a day, pool wallet reports are just over $10 total. $30 expected to $10 actual is quite the differential and upsettingly misleading.   Angry

I couldn't find a single post dealing with GPU rigs which have both nVidia and AMD cards. I have tried again and again to add a profitability miner but it never detects all the cards. I have2x 1080ti, 2x 1050ti and 1x RX570.

I click on new Miner > managed profit miner > select nVidia GPU (for profit switching profile)

This shows all the 4 nvidia cards (sometimes). Then I add another managed profit manager and select AMD GPU and it will show the 1x RX570 sometimes or mostly it just shows 'interface offline'. The help document isn't very helpful for a software which cost me $70.

Can anyone help me configure my "awesome" miner, please?
I might be wrong...but I think you need to add a second profit miner, which is focused on AMD. then youll have two...one nVidia and one AMD.

for proper management, because you have so many GPU, you may need to purchase the standard or pro version of the AM client.

puwaha,

can you point out to any guide on creating a custom pool with profit switching? it sounds like that might be one the better ways to go about GPU mining...with a focus on the algorithms they excel at in the pools that use them?

or am I off? I've got 8x GTX 1070's going and plan on getting 5x AMD 4xx/5xx GPU's shortly for my H110 Pro BTC+ mobo. I was a victim of the NiceHash hack, though I only lost my due payout of $90 USD, as I did use a third party wallet. now I'm trying to figure out all this new stuff, which is a wee bit more complicated.

thank you for your assistance! Smiley

You will need to setup every algo from ahashpool as an individual pool in AM, then group them together using a pool group.  Then you can use the Custom Pool option in the profit switching and select this new pool group.

I did this for all the Suprnova pools... its a little time consuming, but worth it in the end.
