Thanks for this.

Compiling on Linux / OSX wouldn't be a problem for me but my only nVidia is on Windows right now... would definitely be interested in a Windows binary.

Same here, would love to try this on my 570.  Please let us know when you can!

Just want to note that I have used coinbase twice to sell BTC.  Fiat showed up promptly w/o any issue.  I have yet to purchase BTC with it, but works great for selling

Bob, I look at it a little different...  Take this example.

Imagine there is a company that makes frozen banana machines.  I purchase a banana machine and produce my own frozen bananas.  I then find a group of people who are willing to accept payment for my goods in frozen bananas.  Im no tax expert, but it seems to me that the IRS has no control over my frozen bananas in this barter system and only when it changes to fiat and I start selling them, then I pay sales tax/business taxes.  Now even if I do decide to sell them, seems i should only pay sales taxes/biz taxes.  I dont see where a capital gains tax comes into play here. Even if i produced TONS off banans when the price was lower.. Or if the great banana shortage of the 30s comes back and they skyrocket.  Its still a banana, not fiat...

Is this an incorrect assumption?

I had a package that was promised by the 24th and it disappeared from tracking since the 20th (like 20miles away).  This package was completely unrelated to BTC, but I think they took on more then they could handle this year >.<

Well what im wondering is if you just only mine, never put $$ into it, it doesnt seem you would ever have to pay capital gains? From what I understand, capital gains are only if you purchased the product..  What do you guys think?  Seeing as I didnt "invest" but rather "produced" the product?

I am also interested, but is it just a "send BTC and trust me" thing?  Are you planning to set this up in a legal contract? How are you going to handle disputes? What if they dont deliver? What if it takes them 2 years to finally get it working correctly?

With the history of cryptos and ASIC production, this is a really risky gamble.  I may join up once I hear more, but atm its just too much to loose Sad

If you already have a decent PC, jsut spend all the $$ on a gfx card.  The wiki isnt entirely accurate, but its a really good estimate.  Typically if you are not getting similar results its a config issue.

Ive been wondering about these guys since it seems the free 60BTC debacle, thanks for posting this.  Ill take a long hard look before sending coins to them.  What alternatives do you guys suggest for alt coins, besides BTC-e of course.

Sadly none Sad  bter is the next best for alts.

Cryptsy when it worked was the best exchange by far, i mean it had everything. Now they are a nightmare, and seem to have no idea how to fix the issue, it can't be the case of a lack of servers even they could have got those in place by now, i think their script just can not handle any volume no matter how many servers you try to spread it on.

The people are trustworthy but just not technically up to the task i guess. That is sad because it has been great for alts but is now actually turning out to be a bad move to only have 1 good alt exchange.

Well thats disappointing >.<  I know there is a ton of other exchanges out there, but all seem to have a pretty low level of trust and are new and havent been proven or just have no volume.  Guess we just have to see what happens...

As much as i want my mining to be more profitable, my guess is that it doesnt reach more then $100.  I would however like to be pleasantly surprised Smiley

Tried both 0.3 and 0.3a and they both quit with

Failed to read source file: ./quark0td/kernel/kernelQuark.cl
SummonProgram failed
ThreadHost::Thread() unexpected exception:clCreateKernel call failed

Try 0.2, it has the same features and speed

there is no linux version of smolens gpu miner - am i right?

yes, there is no common build available

how much is it's performance for example for a 7950 ?

How much better than pure cpu ?

My sapphire 7950 used to mine around 1,45Mhash/s at 1050/1400 clocks at 1.1v
3570k running at 4,2GHz got to 750khash/s

Mining SRC or QRK is pretty much waste of time considering network speeds and block rewards, if one without botnet wants those, best way would to buy them and mine something more profitable´or usable (like curecoin ^^)

So what kind rewards on average do you guys get?  Average time to find a block?  Im interested, but seems the rewards is pretty low atm?

Buying those cards for mining or even gaming is wrong.
The price/performance ratio is just not good enough compared to 280x and 290.

No this is a fantastic card for gaming, beats the titan at half the price.

http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/radeon-r9-290-review-benchmark,3659-6.html

For Mining, not so much....  The 280x is only about 15% under it for scrypt mining for instance

So if this coin is premined by %90 already, how are the transactions processed?  Is it each wallet acting as a node?

Yes, i had the same issue. Make sure you set it up, get on a pool, etc. You dont have to make a bat tho if you dont know how and i prefer short cuts anyways.  You can right click, create short cut to desktop, then right click the short cut, go to properties, and on the target, just type the command like stoneyshows above.

Btw, Thanks for the wemineltc pool suggestions, its night and day difference!

Also, anyone still trying to fix that stratum failed to parse error?  Would love a fix o.O, is it not that common? I would expect it to be fairly common..

Also, anyone know how to turn down the intensity?  Is it just he kernal config?
