Re: [ANN] Premine (PMC) Swap to PreminePlus (PMP)

Hi
I found that i actually have a premine wallet but it wont sync as there is no block source available. what to do ?
The premineplus wallet synced no problem
Same problem here.

Try out the following premine.conf, works for me:

Code:
server=1
rpcuser=theusername
rpcpassword=thepassword
rpcport=9335

rpcallowip=127.0.0.1

addnode=node.preminer.com
addnode=node1.premineco.in
addnode=node2.premineco.in
Did that already, so I guess those nodes aren't up to date. Can you go to the console and copy your getpeerinfo for us here, if your chain is up to date?

node.preminer.com is mine and I just verified it's online and up to date.

Did you try the "addnode" command?

Did you restart the wallet after updating the config file?

Are you sure the config file is in the right location?

Yes to all, except the addnode command. Says your node is already added, so...guess the conf file is working fine.

To be clear, I have 212109 blocks but it still thinks it's 26 hours behind.

Last block found: Fri 4. Jul 17:45:24 2014, and I'm UTC +8

Then you're up to date, and so are all those nodes :/

I just looked at the time of the last block now.

We need to mine PMC.

This. My wallet is stuck too.

Just a status update: I said I'd be working on a new webpage for PMC a few days ago; well here is the completed homepage!

NEW PMC HOMEPAGEhttp://pmc.cryptotycoons.com/

Still plenty of work left to do, no links or anything up yet. but hopefully I'll have a working site up by the end of day.

Please give me feedback!!!!

It's essential in making a good website.

once it's complete, i'll either send the source to the devs, or host it at the current address unless someone else purchases a domain =)

Just uploaded the latest version. Probably won't have time to do too much more today; but give me feedback =)
the button looks needs some refinement, and so does some of the text placement; rushed this stuff to get a final version out before i ran out of time.

logo looks rly weird/ugly stretched. What resolution do you need? i could send you. Also I dont really like that cityscape background. Doesnt really fit.

Would you prefer just a solid background again? Something else?
the image resolution is low, but i'm not getting any distortion/ stretching on my end? whats the resolution of the device your viewing it on?
i'm not graphically inclined, most of my work involves paint, and don't really know what resolution to ask for, just send what you have and i'll make it work.

Thanks for the feedback.
Most of my experience is back end coding; graphics/css is being learned as I go =)

Well just to confuse things I really liked your original choice of a kind of burgundy type colour band at the top and grey in the middle.  Although I felt the blue stripe at the bottom was wrong and you maybe needed to look on a colour wheel to find the complementary shade to your burgundy or do top and bottom in burgundy (seriously I don't think I've ever typed the word burgundy so much in my life!  Now it just looks/sounds weird!)

I think the grey/burgundy colours had a metallic mine type feel to them...with the blue logo in the middle being the jewel so to speak.  Smiley

I like his idea ^^

It is a managed language, yes. You can work around that with p/invoke and other stuff, but it's rarely useful.

Premature optimization is the root of all evil, as Donald Knuth once said Smiley While you can squeeze out a bit of performance improvement by using non-managed memory management, it also overly complicates your program. It all boils down to what you're trying to accomplish - if your app isn't performance-critical, it's usually easier to just leave all that hassle to the runtime. It's pretty good at it, though not always the best.

If you really need every clock cycle, then sure, C++ (or C) is the way to go Smiley

As for Prolog... I'm not a big fan of declarative programming (I almost failed my Prolog class). When it comes to alternative programming paradigms, functional programming (Haskell and Lisp - especially Lisp) is my way to go Smiley

Also, somebody said that programming languages are like Pokemon moves - you can only know about 4 really well until you're forced to forget one Smiley

Yes, well I'd like to know around 4. I like the way new languages change your way of thinking. I like Prolog because of how esoteric it is. Lisp looks a bit mind-bending. Perhaps after I've devoted more time to Prolog and C++.  Smiley
Never heard of Prolog before. I'll have to look into it.

The faucet seems empty :/

Seems fine to me, 85 PMC in their .. I will top it up a little later.
You're more than welcome to donate to it Cheesy

I'm a newcomer and would donate if I had some. That's why I went to the faucet, to generate some to my wallet. I didn't want to ask forum and "that guy" that begs for PMC. I wanted to establish myself in the community first and help build it.

Looking good, ctenc001.

It would be nice to have some night cityscape as the background at the top instead of a plain black background. Something with a blue tint to it. If you can imagine that, I think it would look great.

Pick a picture and i'll make it happen =)

I'll keep searching, tricky to find exactly what I mean.

This looks cool. Not sure if it's what you meant though: http://wp-b.com/images/2012/1/10/4chan1326200477895.jpg

I could maybe do this with a filter on it to grey it out some.

Cityscape background added! =D

Looks great!

Voted on all 4 links and created bot to do it daily, or when time limit is reached so I don't forget each day Smiley

Please stop that. Coins have been banned from voting because of that. If we get de-listed, we'll know exactly why. Please cease. I appreciate your efforts but it is just not worth the risk.

Sorry, didn't mean to ruffle so many feathers. I'll stop the bots. Was more of a reminder for me since I prolly won't remember to vote everyday. Oh well.

Yeah, I appreciate the effort, but we don't know how their anti-bot code works, I know other coins have been banned or reset to zero, it might not discriminate between a big script or a little script. Don't think we don't appreciate your efforts though. I'm a scripter myself. PHP. Would be nice to have another one on board with us for future projects.  Smiley

Oh, I understand completely. I know I don't wanna be the guy to thwart all the hard work done. My best friend told me about this coin so thought I would come by and see how it was going for myself. So, consider me "the new guy" lol. And, yes, I code in PHP and C# myself. A little python as well Smiley

I also code in C++ and Java. Although I'm a bit rusty on those.  Cheesy
Never done C++ and Java is the devil lol.

Is there a way to implement a window in the wallet for when sending a transaction to check if there is a fee? If not, ask the user to attach a fee so the miners get paid?

I think you could have a default minimum when the fee is zero. Checking fees may also be possible, but it depends if you can peek to check a txfee before you have to send any coins. As long as you have a default minimum it should be ok.
Would be nice to have this feature to keep miners getting paid.
