Anyone know how I can get the wallet to sync? It's not picking up any connections to the network.

Re: [CARBON][SM] Carboncoin | For a Greener Future - Efficient+Secure+Sustainable

A quick update: The whitepaper is coming along nicely but there have been a few significant decisions which needed to be given enough time. There is perhaps another week of work to do on it before it is finished.

Our intention is to apply our proven custom security feature to the etherium network, providing an energy efficient alternative to existing PoW smart contract platforms, again without compromising on security or functionality.

We are looking to implement consensus decision making as much as possible, as well as reasonable rewards for support/participation.

This time we have applied the technology to solving a problem outside of payments, specifically in the field of Carbon Credits, while still maintaining our functionality as a payment system, and our alignment to conservation and sustainability.

We are aiming to do our pre-crowdsale throughout August and then the actual event for the month of September.

Thanks for the update

Am I doing this right?
by

I don't have a ton of capital to invest, basically about $50 every 2 weeks. Sometimes more, sometimes less depending on what I have going on.
My "strategy" is to invest in smaller coins in active development and hold them for a year+. I typically go for projects looking to decentralize the internet - like shift, Vizio, and Atmos. I got lucky and bought 35 ANS when it was a little over a dollar because I thought it was funny. I haven't bought anything else "funny" since.

Do you guys have any suggestions on what I should change here?

You should definitely move your Antshares to a wallet on your PC to generate ant coin. With my meager amount I've generated about .016 Antcoins in 3 weeks.

2 years from now Antshares will either be worth a ton of money each...or it will be worth nothing. Based on information at hand and the way the devs are communicating with the community to improve their brand and outreach...I'm going to hazard a guess it will blow up and be worth quite a bit of money in the future. I will be investing a little more here an there when I can afford too moving forward.

I by no means hold a lot of ANS, I don't have much capital to invest with and only just got lucky spotting and looking into ANS before it took off at approx. $2 and was able to buy 28 of them - I don't want you to think I'm some bagholder trying to sway your decisions.

As always due your due diligence and look into the community. r/antshares is quite informative.

I currently have 80 ANT. I wanted to transfer them to a wallet in my macbook. i dont think they have wallet for a mac though. what kind of wallet do you use? Do you use a web wallet.

I have a windows machine so I'm using the wallet for it. If you don't have access to a Windows PC you can always run parallels or a VM with Windows and have your wallet there.  I believe Virtual Box has a MAC version you could use. From what I've read, I don't believe you can generate ANC inside a web wallet. I could be wrong though.

Here's some resources buddy

So is Antshares proof of stake if you get dividends? Or another new system?

It behaves like proof of stake, except you do not need your wallet open to generate ANC

I am just an investor.

If you bothered to do any research into the coin you would see that because of speculation the coin's value has risen more than 5000% in the past week.

This is a speculation topic - is it not?  This is bitcointalk - with talk being the key word.

If you don't have anything to contribute to this speculation topic then please stay out.

Why do some people want to troll any coin that outperforms the one that they are mining.  Then they make false accusations and automatically assume you are part the the "dev team".

Let me ask you some questions:

How come you seem to know so much for a "newbie" - did you lose your other account? - or where you banned for trolling?

You seem to be shilling this shit extremely hard. You're not talking about what it does, benefits of the product, or what problem it solves. You constantly just speak of how it's risen 5000% and should be worth $2 or $4. I understand it's a rare coin and thus should be worth more with a small cap. But the way you're approaching this is likely just raising red flags for people like it is for me.

Re: Are scam ICOs going to draw the attention of governments?

I've only been active in crypto for a couple months, but I've been watching the market for a couple years. The ICO's will eventually draw the governments in for the sake of consumer protection. The problem will lie in actually being able to control them. Short of blacklisting the websites there isn't much they can do about it, let alone track if you've been involved in the ICO. Even if the sites were blacklisted somehow there's always a VPN service willing to get around it.

In the end, this is a wholly uncontrolled area, and probably will be for years to come. If you are U.S. based you're already not supposed to be active in the ICO's, so on a technicality regulators can't do much.

I'm excited for this. This will only be my second ICO I've participated in and I'm quite interested where SONM will go over time.
