is that means when you buy for EX By OKPAY ... How localbitcoin escrow the process because you pay to seller
They will escrow the amount of Bitcoin the seller is selling. Of course the seller must agree to enter an escrow.

Go find someone who lives in your place. Place an order with him. You can use the PM system to set terms and other things. Once the payment is made, Localbitcoins will release the escrow.

Re: Coinbase instant buy disabled/removed

Did they also disable their "instant verification" option that allows you to provide your banking password (not just your account and routing number) so that they can make a deposit and instantly verify it (not have to wait 2-3 days for the microdeposit)?
Thanks
Not every bank supports their instant verification option. People having a bank account with Wells Fargo may take this shortcut I think.

Give them a second chance they could feel bad if they had to see you go especially when they already whitelisted your account.

I haven't not seen my money yet that was supposed to arrive on Nov 4. I'm not just looking for an explanation as to why this payment was late. I'm more concerned about the possibility of this issue happening again to subsequent sells.

Hey guys - sorry for the undue worries here.

In short, we had a syntax error in the ACH file we submitted to the bank last night.

This makes me wonder...what had you guys been doing before LAST night? At least we heard something from them. It's not perfect, but its better than nothing.

It seems like selling to Coinbase may be a "high risk transaction".

Sounds like fun Grin, I am wanting my coins back too. Let's see if they will play a fair game.

Look like many people are having the same problem with Coinbase. I have yet to get the funds for a sell I made last Tuesday. My last selling orders all went fine up to this one so I wonder what's happening with Coinbase? Their system seems weird these days too as the status of my recent order is totally inconsistent. In 'transaction history' it appears 'complete' but then when I get into 'transaction detail' it shows 'pending'!, and sometimes it does not get listed anywhere on my account.

Kraken and CampBX though it looks like they both require ID verification. Some people on the forum are saying CampBX is screwing them up big time.

Two simple questions:

1) Do you have any idea about how long it may take the whole thing to get through and the initial investment recouped (with profits as you would expect)?
2) How are you planning to hedge the risk of Bitcoin price fluctuations?

Go to 'Buy/Sell' and then 'History' where you can download your account activity reports as csv files and have them send to your email.

Re: Coinbase question: max 10 instant buys, what about sells?
by
MtFox
on 23/10/2013, 02:49:32 UTC
As you already know the daily sell limit is 50 BTC. Sell orders are instant in the sense that the sell price is locked at the time you confirm your sell order. As Coinbase indicates on their blog, sell orders are always executed unless there is a problem with your bank account. Coinbase uses ACH to transfer money to your bank account when you sell. Since ACH transactions are not instant, it may take 2-3 business days for the funds to reach your account.

For this kind of issues no one but the guy from Coinbase can help you out (you can find him around in this forum). Just send him a message to see if he can help.

If you keep browsing with the same browser on the same laptop/desktop, the 30 day save will work until it expires or you clean the cookies on your browser whichever comes first. Switching IP addresses will not change the 2-factor verification code already saved on your machine.

As for the phone numbers, you can set which one you would like to receive calls/SMS as primary phone that way you know which phone you should use. You signed up an account with them less than 1 business day ago, so you should wait 2-3 more days to see if a verification transaction shows up on your bank account (in case you chose to have some tiny amounts of funds deposited onto your account, I actually don't know how the verification works if you gave them your account login credentials to instant verify). Verification is required if you want to buy or cash out some bitcoins with your bank account. Sending and receiving BTC are basically free and ready to go as soon as your account is created.

My 2 cents hope that helps.

Re: Miner's fee a barrier to mass adoption
by

First and foremost, Bitcoin transactions are irreversible. Unlike purchases with Paypal and credit card, Bitcoin transactions are forever one-way tickets, so merchants are completely able to avoid the hassle by the name 'chargeback'. If you don't pay a fee, the only thing we know is it may take a while for your transaction to get confirmed. We don't know how long your transaction can get confirmed if no fee is paid. The only problem that merchants and retailers may face taking payments in Bitcoin is what Bitcoin creators defined as 'double-spend'. 'Double-spend' in some circumstances may happen but it can easily be avoided too.

Transaction fee is and will never be an issue for Bitcoin in the sense that merchants may be willing to take that part for their buyers. After all, Paypal and credit card companies all require expensive fees too. Why do people still use Paypal and plastic cards every day? and who pays the fees when you use them?
