I do not think like this. Bitcoin will still be a digital currency in the future but it will have many legal rules to control and now bitcoin has got many big communities behind it. It's not easy to be dead.

I think the price will increase highly because there are no free electricity for them and mining bitcoin will be more expensive. Chinese groups must decrease mining machines so that they can not sell bitcoins with cheap price and bitcoin will hit over 1,000$ again.

still no updates on this Huh its so quiet here.

i did buy some at the ico ( 25 sat) and its fluctuation between 32 and 40 , and they have more then 8 BTC as buy wall.

so no worries at all, but now and then some update would be fine Smiley

No updates, No news, No dev? what do you expect about this coin? I'm sure this coin was dead. Dev had run way with investor's bitcoins.
Some investors bought many way coins with high price but They could not sell it with low price so that They must do fake buying wall.
Do not expect anything about this coin. That was the end for long time.

Yes, You are right. After ICO finished , Dev had disappeared out of this forum without any notices. I read this thread and the phase 1 and phase 2 would be done in october and november, 2016 but there are not anything updated until now. I'm sure this coin had been dead. it wastes time for this coin.

Re: [ANN] Zcoin (XZC) - Implementing Zerocoin technology for financial privacy
by

We are pleased to release v0.1.8 of Zcoin which fixes the following issues:

  • Wallet loading times improved greatly. First loading time after install/reinstall will still take hours but subsequent loads will take minutes.
  • Fixed compile issue for MacOS

Please head to our Releases page to download the updated binaries which are available for Windows and Mac. Linux binary will be released later today. If you wish to compile your own binary, you can do so from the Github.

The reason why the initial load still takes such a long time is due to a full verification to ensure there are no Zerocoin double-spends.

I'm using zcoin wallet versionv0.1.6 so If I want to download wallet version v.1.8 for installing should I have to delete my old wallet to re-install new wallet with version V1.8 or I just only download and upgraded this wallet?  Thank you.

I think that if you want to invest some bitcoins to ICO projects. You should have some experiences about ICO projects. There were many scammed ICO launching in this forum so you must be careful on those ICO projects and should watch all informations to be written in this ICO thread before investment decision. Good Luck to you.

Re: Is bitcoin better or paypal?
by
Mugamer
on 09/01/2017, 14:49:58 UTC
Absolutely, Bitcoin is better than paypal because bitcoin is anonymous and is not controlled by any financial organizations of government. it 's very easy and fast in transaction. the payment is very simple and it's no fraud. If somebody pays goods or services with paypal currency without clearance , he can dispute that and asks paypal for refund and you will be lost .

Re: If the mining profits decrease, will Bitcoin end?
by
Mugamer
on 09/01/2017, 14:29:55 UTC
Mining profits or reward has nothing to do with bitcoin being popular and will never change anything for the largest mining companies, they will always get their profits, this is something proven by time and even though halving happens only crazy thing is the race between miners and them adding mining machines day after day and I think this was intended by satoshi to make people actually do hard works to earn bitcoin to make it more fair whether big or small you need to consume electricity and resources, so for those people thinking bitcoin comes out of the thin air should think again.

Yes, That's correct , Guy. Once the bitcoin rewards decrease, Bitcoin price must increase then some big miners will import many big mining machines with lower costs or supercomputers will appear to settle this issue.

Re: Bitcoin Awareness on Local Level
by
Mugamer
on 09/01/2017, 14:11:05 UTC
I was roaming on the street behind my uncle's house and saw a shop with a board about bitcoin and I entered in that shop and surprised to meet someone (they were bitcoin users). They are kind of startup and willing to build awareness about bitcoin on the local level. They periodically conduct the seminars in a local language and help people to learn more about bitcoin. They have further plans for this activity.

They have helped to purchase 10 to 20 bitcoins to those who had no idea about bitcoin and shown interest in learning about this revolutionary technology.

This is their pamplet advertisement regarding bitcoin and its benefits in a local language (Marathi).

It talks about bitcoin and current facilities which are available to purchase using bitcoins. People would attract towards bitcoin on the topics which would positively affect them in the short term.

I believe we must give our contribution on the local level in order to grow bitcoin in terms of the user base (prices are temporary, users are permanent).

What do you do to build bitcoin or crypto awareness, do you have any ideas / feedback / suggestions?

Best
Dudeperfect

That is very interesting advertisement about bitcoin for your country. You did a great action for bitcoin community and it will help your local people under stand what the bitcoin is , how it looks like and how to use it. I think you are real bitcoiner.

Totally agree. As long as they keep working with maximum efforts, I believe this coin will soon appear on some trading platform. Investors will soon realize how good and how awesome BCC is. BCC will absolutely bring some profit to all of us

That is nice project. a big amount of bitcoin was collected from ICO launching. I will buy some Bitconnect coins when it is available on the exchanges.

You should correct the tittle "Dangerous country" to the the countries of dangerous animals . It's better than "dangerous country". When I read it, I misunderstand about dangerous country which it has wars or violence. I want to refer to the Africa such as: Kenya, Congo, Sudan and the Amazon Forest. Those places have many dangerous animals in the world.

Re: What influences the Bitcoin marketplace?
by
Mugamer
on 09/01/2017, 10:17:30 UTC
The currencies of the world are affected by many different parameters such as politics, economy, wars. The value of the money also shows up and down according to these parameters.

What are the parameters that affect bitcoin?

Firstly, I think about the Legality of bitcoin. It is a basic thing to accepted by all governments as a digital currency or not? Just saying about it , this is a big influence to bitcoin market place.
Secondly, Many people in the world started to know and use it as digital currency for trading, investing and purchasing. with big community like this, it is a important influence to bitcoin market place.
Thirdly, The facttor of inflation, weak economy, wars are also the main reasons which influence the botcoin marketplace.

Re: Bitcoin price is being manipulated in China
by
Mugamer
on 09/01/2017, 07:12:55 UTC
I received some information from a friend in China reinforcing that Bitcoin price is being manipulated in China. If the information is correct, as I believe it is, this manipulation helps explain the wild Bitcoin price volatility recently. He has requested that his name and location not be identified.

Here's what I heard.  Bitcoin wealthy owners, traders, exchangers and miners meet 24 hours a day at secret places near a large China Bitcoin miner. Attendees divide themselves into 2 groups -- Bitcoin buyers and sellers. At a time agreed on by a majority of both group members, buy group buys the seller group offerings. To manipulate price up, sell group sells at a significantly higher price than market price - buy group buys seller group offerings. To manipulate price down, sell group sells at a significantly lower price than market price - buy group buys seller group offerings. Buy and sell groups switch to sell and buy groups after each offering thus balancing member profits over time.

Seems reasonable to me.

I do not know if it is right or wrong but everytime china has some notices from central bank of china or bitcoin bans promulgated . The bitcoin market has been decreased deeply but it seems the bitcoin groups of china are real because they are owning almost nearly 90% of bitcoin amount in the world and it certainly will be effected by chinese bitcoin groups.

Re: Money laundering via BTC
by
Mugamer
on 09/01/2017, 06:56:47 UTC
Is it possible to do money laundering via bitcoin? I mean as no one knows if you have bitcoin and how much bitcoin do you actually own, it could be used to convert black money to white right? Or at least store your black money without much hassle. But there is the risk of its value but I think for people who have lots of black money and don't want to be caught, this risk might be worth taking for them isn't it?
What are your thoughts?

Yes, Of course. Bitcoin is anonymous and it is not controlled by Government or financial Organization. You can use bitcoin to purchase drugs, weapons... or to launder money and Bitcoin has no border Therefore bitcoin is usually called illegal currency.
