Maybe moving some % of BTC into ETH is a good diversification strategy, while it's cheap?
All of the coins are cheap or very low for now. Well, i guess by moving it maybe a good strategy to gain more if eth price rise anytime but remember that btc will also be rise anytime.

ETH and LTC have been sleeping for too long and now falling after the huge pump of btc while BitcoinCash is just an imitation of BTC so it's not a good option for me. NEO is a fresh coin on the market so the opportunity is very positive for me if I invest my $1k in a long term.
I think the Bitcoin Cash or Ethereum or Monero could be good choice.

Is mining Ethereum a good strategy? or is direct investment better
Both are good, if you have already a mining RIG then it worth a lot because if you have reached the ROI then you are earning money like a boss now.
But even though there is a lack of motivation in the mining rig because people are saying that Ethereum is going to be moved to Proof of Stake which stops the mining and people will move to another coin.
Investing in bitcoin also is a good thing because the ethereum price has been increased too much recently, few months the price was ~$50 and now the price is $280
I think if you have the skill, it is better to mine.
It has nothing to do with the skills, being a miner does not need to have a degree or something else, count it as a hobby.
Mining information can be found easily here in forum or even in youtube since ethereum mining has been very trending nowadays.
However, you still need some knowledge about computer hardware.
That is the reason for the big farms are doing very well.

That is true for bitcoin, but not for Etheruem at present.
Eth is on the opposite trajectory. 600k would be my next idea for support.
the price is still over 800k.
I think this is a lesson for everyone, take profits be it on ETH or BTC when you can. Right now BTC is rallying and ETH is suffering, I can't believe how much ETH you can get in terms of BTC and it can even become cheaper (although there are some signals of a reversal coming already).
BTC may touch 1k but I doubt it could sustain the price for long, you know when people start saying things like BTC at 40k by 2018 you need to start thinking about selling some and wait for a pullback. If you can't buy the dip after selling the spikes because that price is gone, well you made some profit
I feel both blockchains will be the stars of the new industry if blockchain ever catches on, they complement each other perfectly, one is conservative and the other one is innovative. In the meantime if we time it right we can increase our shares in both.

I found the Ethereum price is about 0.017 now. That is due to the rise of the bitcoin price. The dollar price is still over $10.
The Etheruem price is 0.014 now. It dropped to 0.013 earlier today. It seems people are deserting it and some other coins.

Actually this will help the network long term but it's getting a little tiresome, let's see how the next fork goes and if there are any upcoming news with Casper. The price doesn't seem to be dropping below $10 anytime soon even with no news and regular attacks.
If any coin is to succeed in the long term it needs to be tested for safety and resilience. Trial by fire so to speak. So I'm actually glad that people are performing attacks, it's the only way to find out if the technology stands to survive or not on a larger scale.
Agree with this, human attacks to a certain technology could somehow a good move though in order to test a particular thing if it would survive for long . In the case of ETH i could somehow say that its quite a good coin for me inspite of all issues regarding into it into the past months and years.
It is better for the Etheruem or the bitcoin to be attacked when it is still young. The related loss will be limited.

I don't know the altcoin market as much as you guys but I keep following btc and altcoins from coincap.io and ETH market cap is rising everyday. So, it's always better strategy invest a little to ETH and forget it. Who knows maybe one day, 1 ETH will worth $600 too 
The Ehtereum price just dropped about 6% in the last 24 hours. That is due to the finish of the meeting in China.
I think the Ethereum price is consolidating at the moment. After some consolidation, the price will rise again.

you might be right, also you need to provide your billing address and your credit card information so it would be really hard to pay with bitcoinsWith the credit cards, they can verify your address easily. But with the bitcoin, there is no address information.

I think the upper trend of the ETH has been established. So the price could rise further in the next few weeks.
I've been trading XMR mostly of late, but am keeping my eye on ETH. The drop to .019 isn't great, but as long as it can keep above support at 0.0186 there's still a bullish case.
I have some limit order at 0.017. If the price of Ethereum drops to 0.017, I will buy a lot and sell when the price rises to 0.022.
I think the Ethereum dollar price will be stable in the next few weeks. The bitcoin price might drop further.
I do not know why many Ethereum fork holders are happy with the price right now. The movement is still weak and it is very possible that it will go down again. It would be safer to save your money now and buy at a lower price later. If you buy now you are taking more extra risk than by buying lower.
The ETC price is dropping at the moment, if the trend continues, by the end of August, the DAO hacker will not earn much.
Some ETC holders are very rich, they own a lot of bitcoins. So they might be able to support the price after the dump.
So let them do that. I think the Ethereum Foundation should sell its ETC at the current price to support the development of ETH.
The ETC has already declared independence. So it has its own community and its community will support its development.

The Ethereum Foundation will have nothing to do with the ETC. The ETC can copy the code if it wants to do. That will be a clone.

Will i guess this is all about the difference of price on bitcoin ajd fiat, i think amazon also don't like the way of anonymity of bitcoin gives to its users so i think amazon is up to that matter
I think the bitcoin is more anonymous than the cash. The reason that Amazon does not accept the bitcoin is that too few people use it.

Because they do not like such payment and they are also thinking that the bitcoin is still just a investment and a currency that is not popular.

Another possibility is they just could create their own coin or accept one the planned bankcoins.Sooner or later we will know in which direction amazon will go.
When the Amazon accepts the bitcoin, there will be lots of transactions. 1 MB block size is not enough. This will cause bad user experience.

The Lisk volume will be lower than ethereum in the coming months. But one important application for the Bitcoin is for it to be the base currency.
I doubt it. It's already risen up to $75m since I last posted (that's about 9% of all ETHER). The higher it goes the greater the buzz and the more likely it is to rise further.
That could be virtuous cycle. More people will be attracted by the IPO and the price will rise further.
So any guesses as to how low it will go? I suspect we will continue to see falls until at least 0.01 - of course now I've said that it will probably shoot up to 0.04!
