That's funny...
I did file a report the other day about the canspam stuff...

Now I get another one, from "HashTalk" saying I opted in...

At this point I am very tempted to do more than just complain. Not only are they violating canspam in several respects, they also don't know the meaning of remove.

.1BTC towards costs if you file a suit.  Not offering to pay or bribe you, offering to help out.
Sent an email to the "reply to" field to have the address removed from any and all lists they have, in addition to any link my email has with any forum they have. Otherwise, I probably will pursue.

CAN-SPAM violations can have up to a $16k penalty for every email; it would be in everyones best interest (except GAW) to file if they opt to do nothing.

Only an idiot like Homero moves a domain, ddos affects the ip only

Now owned by

Crypto Private Investor Group
34 E Dudley Town Rd
Bloomfield, CT 06002
Pretty damn sure I unsubscribed from any lists that GAW had me on, and based on their privacy policy, they wouldn't share info with other parties (companies in this case.)

I'm not in the loop per-se, but if GAW changed their name to this crypto private investor group, then they still managed to cock it up and send me unsolicited spam.
If however this company is a different entity, then they have shared 'personal details' and broken their privacy policy.

Are there laws against that in your jurisdiction?

Who is the reporting agency for that?

Do you have proof IE an unsubscribe notice and old TOS/Privacy policy which shows the violation?

Or is this just FUD Smiley
I actually specifically asked to be removed from all databases my hashtalk account was in, in addition to unsubscribing using the links they put in the bottom of their notification emails, unsub'ing from the news emails they did ages ago, and any other emails from GAW. Not that I haven't done business with GAW for over 6 months, it can be classified as unsolicited email

None of this stuff needs FUD anymore; GAW makes their own FUD ffs.

Coins Source's NDA policy will not protect Guiseppe and is now voided under the circumstance of an authority agencies getting in contact with us about 5-days ago. With the voiding of the NDA agreement, the information held by us is now public knowledge, and we are able to release it under these extreme circumstances.

Since this was a very intricate and well-thought-out heist, we urge the community to please take caution when handling this situation and future situations that may occur.

Below is a zip file with the person who verified with Coins Source.

I can cut my losses in half. Can you buy until 8000 sats?
You are fully aware that the price will NEVER go up. Sell now or you will be more at a loss for when it gets delisted.

As been stated, The dev is icanprogram. so anything by him, should not be trusted. Also rather interesting if you dig, he might be the owner of the chickenstrips pools, or have very close ties.

As per this: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=760755.msg8754149#msg8754149

icanprogram also is a scammer and should not be trusted at all.
Hence why when I had the talks with him about the centralization, he took Midas's side.
0 BTC was given to myself or BTCSpoon for proving centralization.

The coinsource wasn't removed, HOWEVER because this infact was a scam, coinsource itself should not be trusted.
As per http://www.coinssource.com/trustindex-faq/ "Why are you charging this fee?" under 3:
Quote
Every-time we do a Trust Verification, we are putting the reputation of our entire company, Coins Source Inc. on the line. The risks of doing this far outweigh the cost of the verification. Coins Source is a highly reputable and trustworthy news and information site for the public

All in all, some great drama to watch and hopefully a lesson to people that
  • NEVER trust anything centralized
  • NEVER mine without knowing what you were mining
  • ALWAYS do sanity checks. "Backed by gold; but where is said gold. Pics or GTFO."

also, a note after my rather large notice to him:
<9.20.14><16.52.32.pm> I am not in a discussion with you, and I am not part of the midascoin company

Scamcoin is a scam.

And if anyone wants to agree with me, please join me in that channel (#bountyhunterXX) for a 'third party' review.

It should be noted that icanprogram stated that it is now centralized (as if it wasn't already.)

@Multicoin:

I claimed the 10 BTC too some few posts before you did, proving the "centralized part" with another manner, of course the 10 BTC was a no show, pretending that they have no premined to pay with. Well i wasn't expecting them to be honest and pay anyway. That prove exactly what you can expect from Midas.

@ocminer

Yes, 90€ an hour is something, but for 50€ they will use your name too...as they did in their previous thread..."We are legit, because a well known user worked for us" (Icanprogram didn't signed for that). daaaaa
He did sign with it.
Both of the 'whitepapers' on the Midas site were written by him.
The block tax and the transaction tax.

It should be noted that I have failed to receive the 10 BTC bounty placed on 'Prove that block generation is centralized.' To which my answer is here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=760755.msg8753420#msg8753420

Midas keeps disagreeing with me, and has nothing to say on WHY I'm wrong. So he has to call in the developer, who of course will say that it isn't centralized.
I was given a timeline of 24 hours once I made the support ticket for the bounty, and it has been pushed back and back and back... Now it's at 96 hours that I should expect a conversation with the actual dev about this.

Midas does not know how a coin works and keep saying that it wasn't a 51% attack.

Again, he doesn't know what he is talking about:
"All BlockChains of MidasCoin used during development will be destroyed, with a fresh genesis block created for the release."
of which the whole 'accounting' stuff means nothing and https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=784286.msg8845038#msg8845038 is just outright.

Another outright lie is this gem from the IRC channel:
Quote
<9.14.14><09.53.06.am> <@MidasCoin>  *We already received contacts by 6 different exchanges, asking to list us, and without contactin em first.  The comparison with coin that never reach exchange for lack of interests doesn't fit very will on this situation Wink
<9.14.14><10.05.35.am> <@MidasCoin>  *very well
<9.14.14><10.25.02.am>   A lot of exchanged don't list in the first few days, let alone contact a coin if very little has changed around the coins code. :S I highly doubt that 6 different changes have contacted you.
<9.14.14><10.25.41.am>   add in the fact that some exchanges don't care what you say and will list it anyway, without prior contact, makes that wole statemnt look really odd and not believable
<9.14.14><10.26.12.am> <@MidasCoin>  You are "strangely" forgetting
<9.14.14><10.26.35.am> <@MidasCoin>  1- Listing our coin need details on how transaction tax are implemented
<9.14.14><10.26.52.am> <@MidasCoin>  2- If you want to be added as "approved" exchange, we require an audit
<9.14.14><10.27.12.am> <@MidasCoin>  about security procedure and other things

I find it funny... Not only do they not have interest in an exchange (them reaching out or otherwise) apparently they have to be audited, which we can all see how much security Midas has with a 51% attack in the past.

Apparently they spent 15k Euro developing the 'merchant API,' and are paying icanprogram 90 Euro an hour.

Calling BS...

This is NOT stealth at all based on the irc.cpp : https://github.com/JohnnyXCash/XCash/blob/master/src/irc.cpp#L315
Connects via IRC, and I now have 92 IPs of people that use this coin.
If it was easy for me to do it, then it is easy for anyone.

As such I highly recommend that people do not use this coin as you have an impression that it is anon, when it clearly is not.

How do you know it is their actual IP address?
Some look Tor-ish or behind a proxy, however most have their ISP IP such as the following (just a subset)
hsd1.fl.comcast.net
dynamic.ziggo.nl
kabel-deutschland.de
lv.lv.cox.net

Also if it's even possible to pair it to clients.

If you have a node connected to enough peers you can track what peer relayed a transaction to you. Given a large enough amount of data, you can get pretty accurate with it.
There was a whitepaper published about that but I'd have to find the pdf again.

I call BS on your elite code review. Why?
Because XCASH does not use IRC. This is legacy un-used code!

Go home troll!

P.S. What does anon tx have todo with the IP of a wallet anyway? If I want to hide my IP I use a VPN or TOR.
If you want the proof, go onto lfnet and join #sdcoin00 (the channel that is in the source.)

it looks like as this coin has been abandoned.

Abandoned? With 2084 registered users on Midaspool.com, 12 Ghash of hashrate and 300 new registration each day.

With a conversion rate of referral invite of 9%?

Better luck next time.
So then where is that 10 BTC bounty you placed on Twitter...
Still waiting for it to be sent to my address.

This coin was on my radar, then I did some investigating.

Because of this: https://github.com/MidasPaymentLTD/midascoin/blob/master/src/main.cpp#L1778
This disallows ANY pool or solo miner from using their own address for a block to be accepted.

Now, skip ahead to here: https://github.com/MidasPaymentLTD/midascoin/blob/master/src/main.cpp#L4290
You CAN mine, but it wont matter what address you or the pool uses, it will automatically go to the 'tax address.'

Now, this is NOT decentralized. Sure, the VERIFICATION of blocks and transactions is decentralized, CONFIRMS are not. Confirms are when blocks confirm each other in the hashchain.

Since you cannot have a different publickey for an address to generate a block (or have it be accepted by the network at any rate) block generation is centralized.

As per the twitter: https://twitter.com/MidasPay/status/509471382871494656
Image ref: http://puu.sh/bsK4G/e04f5782cd.png

Please send the 10 BTC to this address: 1QuinngrXdsMWM3tejsWqrEJYPDF5ZccW

Again the statement to prove is "only central pool/node can confirm blocks/transaction"

Maybe you didn't noticed, but twitter has a link to this same forum, that specify the statement, why you keep playing on words?  Do it for real!   That's not an ethic discussion of what mean centralized, there is a precise statement!

Prove that only central node can confirm/authorize transactions and you get the bounty.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=760755.msg8752074#msg8752074

Challenge is here and is not going anywhere

Prove that only central node can confirm/authorize transactions and you get the bounty.

Regards
If you read, I stated that
Quote
Sure, the VERIFICATION of blocks and transactions is decentralized, CONFIRMS are not. Confirms are when blocks confirm each other in the hashchain.
Because only 1 address can actually get the coinbase (anything else is disallowed) that means that only 1 address can confirm blocks. When you confirm a block, you verify transactions inside. Edit:
Quote
block you verify
In this case, verify meaning that the validity of the transaction in the block is accurate. Not just the hash of the transaction.

Quote
Prove that only central node can confirm/authorize transactions and you get the bounty.
Hence from my previous statement, the central node (according to the blockchain; since the authenticity of anyone else mining on the address CANNOT be made,) is the only node that can confirm blocks and transactions.

As far as I am concerned, this coin is not minable, and you are renting your hashrate to a pool, which as far as I can tell, is not trustworthy.

I don't know what others do, but everything that is relating to payouts with my multipool is public. (reference http://multicoinpool.org/index.php?page=statistics&action=round add the totals minus Perfection and Southpaw; testing autotrade together right now.)

I also don't "gain on the difficulty." If it happens to be profitable using math, then that is what is mined. (reference http://multicoinpool.org/index.php?page=statistics&action=profitability )

If other multipools don't give enough transparency I can see where you are coming from, but you are assuming that all are bad apples because there could (not implying there is or isn't,) be a trend with a few popular pools.
