Re: What do you stand to gain from the bull run.
by
Myfe

As the bull run is right around the corner

This bull run has been running since October of last year. Up 100% since that time, we're in it.

We should start asking ourselves question like, how far have we gone in our Bitcoin accumulating process?  If the bull run comes this week, how much can we milk out from our current holdings? if we had any.

How are you answering these questions for yourself?

Someone's either in it for the short term or the long term? If you're on the short game and up double, maybe now's the time to take what you have. If you're on the long game, it doesn't matter where we at (other than the smiles for the value appreciation).

Listen, bulls make money, bears make money, but pigs get slaughtered. Be safe out there, kids.

If they were exit scamming, I assumed that would fall under the umbrella of some sort of international theft crime and with the people that run it being well known, I doubt they'd escape retribution. So I doubt that.

They're well known? I doubt that.

TheQuin, i should have been more specific with my question.

How do I know how much I'm earning off of referrals balance interest? Not free rolls or wagers.

The number I see for daily interest earned equals the daily rate (4.08% / 366) paid off of my balance. Thanks.

Hey wetsuit or TheQuin, is earning interest on the interest your referrals are earning still a thing? Is this represented anywhere in the account profile?

This. The total EARN BTC commission is also shown on the REFER page.

Yeah, still a thing. Just click on the "Earn BTC" and it's stated in bold:

We also pay you 25% referral commissions on any interest earned by your referrals!

Hey, appreciate your reply, this doesn't actually answer my question though. I know that the website says what you've quoted above. The website doesn't actually show an accounting of those payments. I should have been more specific in my ask...an am open to thoughts from anyone here.

Example: When I see the interest i'm earning each day it calculates to the earnings from the daily rate off the annual 4.08%. So that accounts for the interest I earn off my balances, not the interest I may or may not be earning from the balances my referrals hold.

Maybe my referrals don't carry a balance, but I wanted to start with the basic question first.

Considering your request, may take me a day or two to respond completely. Work keeps me busy and I want to consider whether your interest in resolving this is genuine. There are people on this forum that will fuck over other members for no better reason other than they can have power behind anonymity.

Everything with me is above board, i've done nothing wrong to anyone here. And i'd like to still exist in this community.

Questions

Quote
(1) This is not a hacked account. Frankly, you're not offering any proof that it is a hacked account so I shouldn't have to prove it to you...but how do you want me to prove it to you?
I rather you did, just to be sure and all. Could you sign a message from address: 3GemtDLiuUDGKXqPxckP1gZrsroCHTZdMs ?

Why do you want me to sign a message from this address specifically?

But basically... explanation and/or signed message would make everything go away

What assurance do I have that you'll follow through? I have zero leverage. Have ever even interacted on this forum before (I don't think we have, but maybe i'm wrong.) According to this thread you saw a recent post, for some reason that gave you interest, and then you started mining through old posts and transactions.

Why am I a target for you? Why do you attack with negative trust? You have to understand where i'm coming from. Negative trust is a bullet through the heart in this community, any anyone can use it as a weapon with limited to zero accountability to accuracy.

I'm glad you're willing to talk.

Hey @Csmiami,

I just noticed the negative trust you gave me and obviously came to this thread. How do we sort this out? I don't want to be subject of a negative trust rating.

(1) This is not a hacked account. Frankly, you're not offering any proof that it is a hacked account so I shouldn't have to prove it to you...but how do you want me to prove it to you?

(2) I did serve as the Community Manager for Freebitco.in a few years back. I responded to questions people left on both of wetsuits Freebitco.in threads. After several months (maybe a year?) wetsuit decided to end our working relationship.

(3) I have been away from the forum for months at times, life happens.

I don't appreciate all the accusations. Or you calling me a "little dirty slippery bitch."

So what's the problem you have with me and how do we get it resolved?

Myfe.

If our inflows at Grayscale are any indication of the types of investors that are interested in this asset class or the sizes of allocations being made, we're just getting started,"

The "IF" word is always a bit suspect. It doesn't lend confidence to the future and every investment advisor knows that past performance isn't indicative off future results. So to say if the high volume of people who bought our product in the past indicate that we'll have a high volume of people buying in the future we should be successful is a simple bit of bullshit.

A better indicator of increased interest is the number of searches for bitcoin in the past 6 months - has it increased? Or the news about retirement plans gaining access to BTC investment. Or how many mainstream news media outlets and sources are talking about Bitcoin. The more press the more the public gets to thinking bitcoin is "Just another investment that's doing really well" as opposed to "some weird tech geek thing".

Regardless, CNBC talking about bitcoin in a positive way is a great thing.

I obviously don't need merit but this is how you guys do it:

To be fair, in this quoted post you don't explain how to do it, you just demonstrate that you know how to do it.

I have recently been trying to write a modern guide to using PGP since the linked guide in OP is Windows-specific, but I've been quite busy last week.

No rush, but i'd love to read it when you have it done. Thanks for updating us and for taking time to write up a guide. These are important things to learn. And in a time of easy-to-use mobile apps it's a bit of a shift to understand the code and sequence of it all. Thanks!

Re: Take Profits in BTC or USDT
by
Myfe

So what's is the best approach in this case to get the maximum profit ?

Too long; didn't read >>> Compare your crypto currency value to a single fiat currency, whichever fiat is your domestic currency.

The best approach is to compare your investment - ETH - to a currency that has a relatively stable value - USD, GBP, EUR, YEN. This will ensure that the investment price is being compared to a stable baseline each morning or night when you check in on the latest price or activity for the day.

When you compare the price of ETH to BTC you're comparing the value of two wildly volatile investments to each other, which makes the day to day comparisons of the price of ETH harder to understand, because it it requires you also normalize for the movements of BTC in the same day.

Is it possible to create a PGP Signature from any wallet address?

I appreciate the Kleopatra tutorial, but I don't use Kloepatra and I shouldn't have to use a new wallet simply to sign my wallet address...right?

Thanks.

Re: How Do You Think About Bitcoin Derivatives?
by
Myfe
on 28/01/2020, 20:48:07 UTC
More and more derivatives exchanges came out. As I see, bitcoin derivatives are the improvement and development of the bitcoin market.

I used to think the same, that the derivatives exchanges were beneficial for bitcoin. Now i think not so much. These derivative exchanges just create an investment market parallel to the bitcoin market, not in it. If the investment or exchange isn't hitting the blockchain, it's not influencing bitcoin. It's like a bunch of rich people that don't want to touch bitcoin have decided to make some side bets on its price...like a friday night parlour trick, entertainment on boys night out, etc. They don't take bitcoin seriously, they just want something new to bet with their "play money".

Let's not give too much credit to the derivative exchanges until they start interacting with the blockchain.

Re: Monday Is the Best Day to Buy Bitcoin?
by
Myfe
on 28/01/2020, 20:33:19 UTC
I think you got this wrong. If the highest return is on a Monday then you'll buy at the highest price on a Monday. You need to buy on a Wednesday, when the price tends to fall...then you'll lock in the best price and stand a better chance of realizing positive investment gains.

Maybe it's because Sunday is a holiday in most of the country, so people cash out crypto money on Sunday and that impact on Bitcoin price on Monday, so, when the price is low, that's the buying time without any doubt.

Why would people cash out their bitcoin on a Sunday? Why would it matter that Sunday is a day of rest for most people? I'm not following your logic.

Wow, what a great question! I found this beautiful place through a friend. This friend kept talking about it, asking me to check it out. His enthusiasm was curious...like someone who's discovered this really cool thing and they want to share it with you.

I finally logged in, registered, etc., and now i'm so happy that i did! This forum was my first glimpse into the cryptocurrency world. I can't imagine how far out of the scene i'd be without that one friend. I haven't transacted much here but i've thoroughly enjoyed my time, the talk, the opinions and perspective of others.

Thanks to all of you for opening your world to me!

Re: Pet shop want to become a bitcoin exchange?
by
Myfe
on 26/01/2020, 18:35:32 UTC
I’ve got a pet shop and I wanted to accept bitcoin and alt coins then I was reading about becoming a bitcoin exchange ... is this possible? I understand it’s worth goes up and down.

Accept bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies for payment. Put the sticker on your door. Be a local supporter. All of this is fantastic!

The exchange part is totally separate. If you're going to facilitate transfers for people, set up an exchange online, keep it separate from the pet shop. If you live in the US structure it as a C-corp so you're not personally liable if something stupid happens to the exchange accounts. You can use the pet store to advertise your exchange for those paying with crypto, but keep it separate.

Let us know how it goes with both projects! We're here to help!

This article isn't as informative or profound as you're making it out to be. They cite (literally) "TOP BITCOIN ANALYSTS" as one of their sources.

Here's the TL:DR for everyone else.

The decline prediction is based on basic technical price movement analysis. With the current decline we've dropped to the price point of the most second most recent peak. That peak is called the resistance point. Traders will pause when the price hits that level and then the price will bounce back up or it'll break through the resistance - technical analysis can't predict which way it'll go. If we break through this resistance level we could fall to the next resistance level at $6,400.

There's nothing unique about this prediction, every week we could make the same - going up 10-20% or going doing 10-20% claim. It speaks to the volatility of bitcoin, i.e., 20% swings are the norm, not the exception.

It is nice to see a negative price prediction post though!

Re: Still confusing. Economic/War crisis vs Damand. Which one is to boost Bitcoin$?
by
Myfe
on 26/01/2020, 17:36:04 UTC
Which is the frequent factor? or maybe not both?

Let's think about what the people outside the industry think is driving Bitcoin demand.

Here's an article from Business Insider: 5 theories bitcoin price tripled to $12,000 in three months

This article credits much of the rise to mainstream companies in the investment or payments world announcing publicly that they're "looking at" ways to use blockchain or cryptocurrency in their business. They don't mention "Bitcoin" but any positive news about blockchain or cryptocurrency is going to bode will for the perception of Bitcoin and the other major currencies.

TD Ameritrade (about to be CharlesSchwab) and Etrade both rolled out cryptocurrency futures investment options over a year ago.

Finally, this article theorizes that low interest rates is "juicing demand" by making it easier to borrow money. Their theory is logical, but impossible to draw a causal relationship, so I think this theory isn't valid.

Re: Okay. Billionaire investor says Millennials should invest in bitcoin. So?
by
Myfe

But only holding half BTC, should i go more for BTC?

Yes, friend, go for more. Try to acquire more. Don't spend all your money on it, just some, but buy regularly every week or month. Don't worry about the price, just start participating.

You'll be thankful in 10 years when you have something saved up, especially if the price takes off. Just don't put all your funds in bitcoin. Invest in other things, non-crypto things.

Good luck to you.
