Understandably this network has a competitor (Arbitrum) however arbitrum doesn't have a coin, Both networks (Arbitrum and Optimism) are built to scale ethereum (solve high fees problems etc).
Optimism currently trading at $1.84 by the time of writing (feels a bit oversold).
Looking at https://coinmarketcap.com/rankings/exchanges/dex/ (Dex 24 hours trading volume) Arbitrum has second largest trading volume while Optimism is fifth.
So i was wondering if OP is nothing but a hyped up coin or is it good enough for the long term (3-4 years) ?

It's not about to pump at all, it will get worse for the short term we haven't bottomed yet.
Looking at the short term it's not bad, we'll definitely be standing in a higher level than this in the next couple of months.

You MUST panic strategically, if i didn't panic and decided to trade this bear market i wouldn't have accumulated more bitcoins for the long term. or maybe if you got all the time in the world to wait for your investments to pay off you could do that but i still wouldn't recommend it. be smart and safe!
I will never ever use Solana again for payments, one of the main reasons is network congestions. that's insanely annoying last time i made a Solana payment it took me like 15 minutes resending the same payment again from my exodus wallet

(Centralized network with low scalability)Solana is a centralized chain, I don't expect people to trust it easily and I really don't expect it to reach its ATH anytime soon it was able to hit around $250 back in October 2021 thanks to the hype about the upgrades that were going but still I wouldn't buy more than 10% of my portfolio if I were to buy ever again.

Honestly i really wouldnt trust LUNC its marketcap is currently too low and the price is easily manipulated by whales and this bear market isnt bringing any good, we might even see another -99% on LUNC. it wont be something new.

How should i diversify my crypto portfolio?
I feel like im gambling by going all in one crypto like ETH and the drops are hitting me very hard with its high volatility compared to BTC
Majority here will think that it's better to invest most in BTC, there are old school thoughts that at least 60% will be in BTC and the rest should be divided on solid altcoins like ETH, BNB etc.I feel like im gambling by going all in one crypto like ETH and the drops are hitting me very hard with its high volatility compared to BTC
But if you don't like volatility, I mean if you are afraid that your portfolio going down hard when the market crashes, then you should diversify to other assets such as stocks, gold or even real states. But then again, you should need a huge capital if you want to do that.
In my opinion, diversification is the diversification of different investments like cryptocurrencies, stocks, gold... that's really called diversification to reduce risk. We split our capital to invest in bitcoin and altcoins, which is the right thing to do but it's clearly not a diversified form of investment.
The crypto market is completely dependent on bitcoin so when you hold altcoins it is also very difficult to avoid losses if bitcoin drops in price so diversification in this case will be less effective.
@OP if you are afraid to hold ETH then you better move your assets to BTC, BTC is the best choice in crypto.
The only reason that made me worry about ETH is that $890 drop while bitcoin held $17k which i had imagined it might happen again, i had also entered ETH at 1.1k - 1.4k - 1.7k

Matic has faced insane pump inside this bearish market which i think we should be careful when investing to Matic in this hard time (it might dump very hard if btc goes 17k) i estimate $0.4 in that case.
Solana is currently facing hard time in this bear market all it does is drop and face some resistance in the bottom around $35.
Overall both coins are extremely risk to invest in (compared to other top alt coins)

Just choose bitcoin and make a big portion of your portfolio there. Next is ETH and you're doing it right. Tell us how much capital that you're longing to diversify? Because if it's not that a lot then you should just pick bitcoin instead and just leave it there but if it's really a lot, follow the first advise that I've said.
I m trying to diversify 6k$ and so far i m thinking of going 50% bitcoin , 25% ethereum , 25% sol/ada/vet etc
i started making some researches today, thinking of selling and trying to rebuy at 16k-18k but i m really hesitating cause if i sell now and everything goes bearish again i might not enter the market for a long time
