[SERVICE] Web Developer - Web Apps / APIs / Webpages / Various Others
by
MystPhysX
on 21/09/2025, 17:14:47 UTC
Back as a developer here after a very long time. Offering web dev related services:

This is my primary offering as I am a full stack developer.

  • Single Page web apps built with Vue.js.
  • APIs built with Express.
  • Backends built with Node.
  • Cost and turn around time depend on the requirements but there are examples below.

Examples include this coin voting website along with its documentation here. This was built out for 800USD over the course of two weeks.
I can provide the code adapted to your needs starting at 400USD.

Another example is this token swapping website built out for 600USD over the course of a week. The video background was provided by the commissioning party.
I can provide the code adapted to your needs starting at 300USD.

This is something I offer as well because I might as well.

  • Simple web pages done in HTML/CSS with Bootstrap.
  • Wordpress pages.
  • Cost and turn around time depend on the requirements but there are examples below.

A landing page example can be found here. This was 300USD and 2 days.
If you want this used as a template prices start at 150USD.

A web page utilising canvas for a downloadable stamp card can be found here. This was 100USD and 1 day.

I also offer a collection of other services that do not warrant their own section or only have examples provided upon query:

  • Website touch-ups for AI generated websites for a nominal amount to fix things like mobile support.
  • Custom Discord bots using Discord.js.
  • Scripts to automate stuff in Bash or Python.
  • Programs in C if you need that for some reason.

DM me if you have any queries. Payments in BTC and USDT. My old service thread can be found here: [ANN] MystPhy.sX - Android Wallets / MacOS & Windows Wallets / Web Wallets

Re: Is provably fairness something important you?
by

In general, transparency is very important to me so provably fair systems do make a difference in my opinion of places. For the games with systems that are not easily calculated by an end user (such as Blackjack) with a decent grasp on math can only be verified by regulators and that's a whole headache to expect to trust if the casino is entirely online and in a different country for example.

Offering a system that you can verify at any time goes a long way to resolving that worry and gives me confidence in any institution even if I won't necessarily verify every bet.

Re: What is your perspective on the increasing number of casinos?
by
MystPhysX
on 10/09/2025, 15:00:00 UTC
This is very clear and logical point that is major concern for public health experts. Yes constant rise of new casinos and gambling platforms pushed by competition and creates ripple effect. More gambling options lead to more aggressive advertising which makes gambling seem normal and harmless. This easier access and constant publicity can lead to more people trying it increasing risk of gambling addiction. And it is logical to think that fewer casinos might mean less addiction but real issue is not just number of options but how well they are regulated to protect players.
Truly, the normalisation of it definitely leads to more adoption. You brought up an excellent argument that's been rattling around in my head as I see more and more ads for gambling and big streamers gambling on stream to a younger audience. The culture and regulations around gambling matter much more for the adoption than casino offerings to me. Casino's having to compete to stand out is definitely better for the consumer but I don't necessarily see adoption increasing much as a result. Whereas if there's more people who see it as just another source of entertainment on a night out, that's where the real crowds will come from.

Honestly my only problem with KYC is if the process is handed out to some third party I've never heard of before. Seeing these companies that exist just to process my information does not inspire any confidence. Granted I have not fallen victim to identity theft or anything yet so I if it seems as though I can trust the KYC process I would vastly prefer the casino where I win a lot.

Re: Security hygiene: Do you observe the phone/PC hygiene?

As my holdings barely amount to much I prefer the convenience of everything being accessible across all my devices and my setup reflects that. However, I do have a separate device for my 2FA on top of requiring master password reprompts on my password manager for more sensitive logins.

Ideally I would self-host Bitwarden but I just haven't gotten around to it.

Been meaning to watch Peacekeeper the movie series on recommendation of some friends so I decided to watch The Suicide Squad (2021). Overall it was a decent amount of dumb fun, and I'm looking forward to watching Peacekeeper now.

Re: What do you try to learn first?
by

on 09/09/2025, 14:06:11 UTC
Yeah you should definitely learn about the subject matter first before trying to predict outcomes or it's significantly worse than just flipping a coin to decide who to bet on. Learning about the sport, the teams, and such, will give you a foundation that allows you to then extrapolate.

However, if you're really into the gambling aspect there's nothing stopping you from betting token amounts as you learn about the sport.

Looking in the wrong area for lazy gambling if you're looking at people actively gambling at like casinos. Just look at consistent lottery ticket buyers if you want to find lazy gambling.

It's definitely more convenient being able to lean on other people. I did my part for the household which ended up being much less than if I was on my own. The social aspect is also much healthier if you work from home and don't get out much otherwise (no work socialising).

However, there is a certain peace I get from living on my own that is quite nice.

Re: What is the best way to gamble?
by
MystPhysX
on 07/09/2025, 16:33:05 UTC

A common disease among gamblers is that when they win a bet with a small risk, they regret why they did not bet more, and when they bet with a big risk, they feel disappoint. In such a situation, it is better to manage gambling by placing low risk bets. Because winning and losing in gambling are uncertain. If there is luck, then the gambler will be happy. One should not make one's gambling Unenjoyable by placing high risk bets. When gambling, greed will play negative role, which is why it is best to be able to gamble while keeping greed under control.

It is better to get a small win than to risk big money and eventually lose. Everything is based on our expectations, but if they are not justified and you allow yourself to risk big money, then in this case everything will be predictable, in some of the bets you will still lose and lose everything. So it is better to immediately learn that you should bet on small money and it is better to increase the odds if you want to win more than trying to increase the bet and lose more than you planned.

I agree with this kind of strategy, and that's what I have been doing for a long time. I never took big risks and never went for higher stakes. It's too scary for me. I'd rather play with the minimum amount at risk and then just look for the high multipliers that would make me win big.

For me, it's more fun that way and I could save some money in case I need it for something more important. We don't really need to place high stakes if we cannot afford it. That's the best way to gamble, in my opinion.
The difference between playing for playing sake and the occasional win versus playing only for the potential payout. An apt way to go about it.

Could be off topic but what's wrong in living with parents ? After all, we are from India and it's quite normal in here to live with parents.
In fact, some people live in a joint family and so even if we have lots of money, I don't think living with parents is something wrong ?
As a standalone basically nothing is wrong with it. However, in context it made sense for the friend group as they already knew I had been looking forward to moving and that supposed level of money would have more than afforded it.

Re: How quickly do you forget a loss
by

on 05/09/2025, 09:58:24 UTC
Honestly how quickly I forget about a loss depends on how invested I was in the outcome, which is probably the case for the majority of people. There's some losses in life I'll think about every now and then in a "life would have been quite different" way but they never dominate my thoughts so I think I'm doing quite alright.

Re: If you had infinite money, would you still gamble?
by
MystPhysX
on 05/09/2025, 09:52:15 UTC
I would definitely gamble even if I had unlimited money. A lot of experiences are curated towards making you feel good while gambling such as ambience and euphoria when winning.

And even if I had unlimited funds, nothing says other people do right? At some point it'll become me bankrolling other's experiences and I love doing that too. "Have 200k to go wild with random member" and so on.

We're definitely going to see a rise in un-Googled flavours of Android at this rate. It's a pity so many manufacturers are making it close to impossible to unlock bootloaders now.

Funnily enough around the time this incident first happened, there were rumours swirling around my extended friend group that I had a substantial number of BTC. It was all untrue and I made sure to shut down the rumours ASAP since there were politician's kids in the circle and I was afraid some might take notice.

Glad I took those steps because who wants to get roughed up just for them to find out the rumours held no water. I never found out who started the rumours either.

It would have definitely been a person close to you people just can't tolerate others' success. They get jealous soon and some spread rumours just to annoy us.
Good that the rumours stopped because if the same fate would have happened to you then your life would have been at risk.
You know that you don't hold a big number of BTC but how would you prove that ? There is no way to prove that.
They could suspect you of holding those substantial amount of BTC in some unknown wallet.
That issue with proving I held basically nothing was exactly it. Thankfully everyone basically laughed and believed me when I jokingly asked them why I would still be living with my parents if I supposedly had so much BTC.

My primary machine has used Firefox since release, even back when it was noticeably slower than Chrome. Since Firefox mobile also supports uBlock and syncs history and tabs easily, I use it there too. I have installed Chrome on devices other people in my household use but with the recent ad block changes I've been meaning to convince them to switch.

Can't live without ad block for the general internet.

Bitwarden in particular has the option to re-prompt you for the master password before autofilling logins/cards/personal information and I have been using it for years on the more sensitive stuff. Glad I have been doing so because it renders this exploit moot for my use case.

Re: [ANN] SativaCoin (STV)-Bridging the Gap Between Cryptocurrency and Commodities!
by

on 16/01/2020, 10:31:23 UTC
The web wallet will be going down in a month. Please withdraw all your coins before then or they will be lost.

Why is that? ...

#crysx
I'm taking down the server it is hosted on and I have not been able to get a hold of the STV dev to transfer the wallet. There is a notice on the site as well.

OK ...

Would there be a possibility of keeping it up? Or at least transferring it to keep it going?

#crysx
I can't entrust it to anyone other than the dev who initially hired me, without his approval. I am not really interested in continuing support for it but if someone is willing to pay the support/hosting costs of 130USD/year before the 25th then I will keep it up for another 13 months.

I know him - personally ...

He has just been under the radar for some time and hasn't surface recently, so if he is around and you are in touch with him, get him to contact me on Skype as he usually does, or even Discord now that I am on more often there. I would be happy to get it on our infrastructure and discuss further with him (I would use his name here, but unsure if he would appreciate that so I'll just refer to him as @pastafarian) the details.

CWI is happy to pay the expenses, but only on our infrastructure.

Maybe we should discuss what you could do with coding for us and our coins? I am open for discussion either way.

#crysx
Unfortunately my only method of contact for him is on the forum and I have not heard back. The shutdown will remain on schedule but I will keep a copy of the database and such in case he wishes to transfer it in the future.
