Any reason for requesting Yobit to close the wallet. Not that I'm a fan
of the site but there are no other exchanges hosting PUTIN. Even when
Yobit wallets are open, depositing coins can be a hit and miss affair Sad

I would like to believe lots of development is going on in preparation to
monopolise on the upcoming elections or is that just wishful thinking ?

They cost you nothing so hold so where is the problem, hold and watch the show.

I downloaded the wallet from their site when it was available and regularly run it
up to get it sync'ed with no issues (also sent a few to Bittrex).

If you are going to claim your BTG using your private key then it's best to move
your BTC to another wallet address before doing so.

I am on discord so if you want to chat that is the best place to do it. The new
team looking to upgrade PWR is in it's infancy and we are doing it on voluntary
so you will have to bear with us.

Bit of confusion here, the download is linked to the original 64 bit windows wallet I
built a year ago. I have since built a new version from code provided chegevm which
is being referenced as 0.0.2 Beta and is not available as yet. I have done a cursory
test of the new wallet and it comes up fine.

The original wallet runs fine and I'm staking with it. I build wallets and I am not a coder
so I can't vouch for the integrity of the source used, nice disclaimer:)

Anyone know why the Windows wallet keeps getting blocked by Malwarbytes, is there a work around for this?

are you using this one https://bitcoingold.org/#features?

https://www.virustotal.com/#/file/53e01dd7366e87fb920645b29541f8487f6f9eec233cbb43032c60c0398fc9fa/detection
Yep that is the one.

Why would they release a wallet without first checking its virus status.   Dumb.

i think they are false positive i see them many times in many wallet

I downloaded the exe, virus checked it (mcafee) ran it then virus checked the qt exe with no problems found.
Sync'ed the wallet then imported my BTC private key from a now empty BTC address. Once in the wallet, moved
the BTG to a fresh BTG address.

Subsequently sent a few to Bittrex, no problems experienced.

Did you scan it with Malwarbytes?

It has a coin miner in it, and I am pretty sure it is not used for staking purposes.

The name of the coin miner is riskware.bitcoinminer and it is a trojan.

https://www.howtoremoveit.info/remove-riskware-bitcoinminer-trojan/

I ran the virus checkecker that highlighted a couple of old registry entries so all in all
I'm happy with the wallet I have and the price BTG is at Smiley

I loaded the wallet the previous day and then unlocked for staking,
so the coin maturity for staking is within 24 hours.

THE STABLE VERSION OF THE POWER WALLET HAS BEEN RELEASED - Credits to all who helped out on - JOIN OUR COMMUNITY AND BRING THE POWER BACK TO POWERCOIN

DOWNLOAD LINK WINDOWS VERSION WALLET - - - http://powercoin.us/downloads/

Installed a new purse, synchronized, the balance is still negative

I am using this wallet. If you download and unzip it, fire off the powercoin.exe,
let it run for a minute or two then file exit. You now have a power folder in
appdata/roaming. Copy the powercoin.conf into this folder and restart the wallet.

Sync'ing will take a day or so.

I'm also staking regularly.

As a footnote when moving coins to a new address it is worth
sending a small amount first to check it works.

It costs an extra transaction fee but give you piece of mind.

Just finished loading my BTG from my BTC address :

- Downloaded the Windows wallet from the BTG website
and sync'ed it fully (took a day and half) then encrypted
it with a passphase.

- Moved my BTC to another wallet address for security

- Got the private key for the old address using the Bitcoin
core wallet console:
walletpassphase 'wallet passphrase' 600
dumpprivkey 'wallet address'
walletlock

- From the Bitcoin gold wallet console:
walletpassphase 'wallet passphrase' 600
importprivkey "bitcoinprivkey"
walletlock

This activates a re-scan to locate your coins and within the
hour my BTG appeared with new 'G' address that has the
BTC private key.

Next I'm going to move these to the address provided
after the sync of the BitcoinGold wallet for safety.

Happy retrieving, I've got nowhere to send them but at least
I have them Smiley

Before I used my bitcoin private key to claim my bitcoin cash I moved the BTC
to another address (gets a new private key) since the snapshot of the blockchain
used by Bitcoin Cash had the coins on the old private key.

I suggest you use this principle when claiming your Bitcoin Gold as there is no
way you are risking losing your BTC.

If someone (no names mentioned) sent ICN to Kraken but put in the ETH address rather than the ICN address,
is there any hope of recovery ?

Put in a support request to Kraken, no response yet.

As a footnote, if I look up the ETH address using Etherscan.io, it reports the ETH on my Kraken ETH address
and has the ICN tokens attached to it under 'token transfers'.

Anyone going to clarify this 'buyback' address and give details that the tokens
are really burned.

Let's face it, buyback were illegal due to it's market manipulation but it was in
the way of the kleptocracts running this world to making money out of honest
people so they repealed the law.

The ICN token is only linked to this promise by the dev's which relies on the price
rising due to the reduction of the token supply, wait a minute what happened to
real income from our investment with the dividends idea.

The ICN token was a means to an end to fund the exchange trading platforms
(and make a lot of money for the devs) and have no relevance to the the ICN
token other than this so called promise which is no guarantee the price will rise
due to buybacks.

Real returns can only come from investing in the platforms but these are closed
to the Joe Blogs of this world and the poor investor in ICN has footed the bill.

The 'team' is busy enjoying our funds, globetrotting and investing in better projects.

I mean not an once of progress for the investors. What no PR or movement of the
project since the ICO. Bunch of shills saying the platform is going well.

Give me a break, glad I've got my funds out with profits and tokens left in the thousands
just in case they prove their legitimacy.

Strategy Adviser, lol, :

Would that be to disillusion the original investors so they sell their holdings

or

Keep the scam rolling until the final pump to sell off the rest of tokens held
by the devs when it happens

or

Inform the investors on why the 4 months delay of the somewhat fictitious
  platform to be released

Take your pick.....

Any project that expect success needs to keep in touch with their investors for
which I give ICONOMI a minus.

It's about time the investors see a tangible movement forward with ICN other
than a few promo posts saying I'm on the beta testing for the platform.

All the investors see is profits being made by the organisers with their money
being used to trot around the world saying this is how to do a successful IPO.

Shame on you for apparently stuffing the investors that put confidence in you
providing a credible product, prove me wrong but nothing has changed since
the IPO other than you lot have got a lot richer.

Disclaimer, I have a few ten of thousands but sold the bulk to get ROI and a bit
of profit but I do expect my existing holding to bear fruit.

Just think if I put the funds in dash or eth, what a smile I would have....

I think I will give it another week or two to see if this is a genuine project
or just an exercise in how to perform a successful ICO for the organisers.
