We discussed internally if we should make the reduced rate till block 200 or 500 to minimize instamine.
We decided to go initially with 200 and was later changed to 500 (we forgot to update the OP).

So the period that was supposed to prevent instamining basically just gave the 550+ megahash farm time to instamine MandarinCoin's launch AND make it back here in time to not leave any coins for anyone else by the time rewards actually begin. Awesome.

Implementing PoS would be quite unfit for what we have in plans for the coin (purchasing goods/services) as PoS encourages hoarding instead of spending!

When major news outlets online report on Bitcoin news and they start including news about Doge
