Pool is dead

 "version": 3009900,
  "protocolversion": 70912,
  "walletversion": 61000,
  "balance": 0.00000000,
  "zerocoinbalance": 0.00000000,
  "blocks": 0,
  "timeoffset": 0,
  "connections": 0,

No more wallet connection

Go into your debug console and type "clearbanned".  The network continually bans nodes, this will restore them after a minute or two.

I don't see this as being scrypt.  My cpu mines this coin at 1.6MHs, which isn't scrypt...this is a sha256 cpu pace.  Both scrypt and sha256 are available in the source, I haven't dug far enough to know what's really going on, but it isn't scrypt.

Pools are rejecting because of incorrect nBits, error 500 in yiimp.

Unfortunately the dev has a few fundamental problems on this launch.  Let's see how it goes....

The explorer shows only 1 block on Dec. 21, 2017.  The chain my wallet hooked to has 73k blocks mined.  Did somebody find the source a year ago (the original commit) and been mining this whole time?  Seednode problem???

Also, the block rewards appear to be 50, not 1.

Dear All members new PoW Structure and block time will be effected from Block 250, Kindly download updated wallet from Main Post

Was hoping for a fee change...Can't repost on pool nor will I mine at 1.0 MYCE.  The source comments indicate fee change but it's still clearly 1.0 MYCE in the updated source code.  Please consider making this change.

Regards,
NP

Kindly Make Payout available only after 4 hours and make one txn paying out to many. another Pool is doing the same. Making changes in Fee now will make chain unstable and we are helping Miners by sending that 1 MYCE fees to them in Block reward

As a miner, it certainly didn't help me, only hurt significantly.  Good luck guys, I'm out.

I'm trying to send coins - the tx fee is 1.0 MYCE?  Mining a block is 6 MYCE and 16.7% fee to move the coins?  Is this an error?  If not, that's a pretty fundamental piece of information that should have been part of the initial announcement, because it breaks the coin in my opinion and here's why:

I run a small private pool and had to pull MYCE off - the pool is deeply in the red from TX fees and can't pay out.  A 16+% tx fee can't be covered by a 1-2% pool fee if no transactions were made during block generation, which none of our blocks had.

Furthermore, I've stopped mining the coin personally and won't mine it at that tx fee...simply not worth it.

Please either fix the error or consider reevaluating the decision for a 1.0 coin tx fee.

Good question.  It may not apply here, but there are many wallets launching claiming masternode functionality but it isn't in the code.  Most of them won't get it done nor even try.  Adding MN functionality is not trivial and not for the faint of heart.  It also has significant risk of a chain split if not done well and certainly is a hard fork if not preplanned.  Once they publish their source, we will be able to determine if they are on the path to doing it, or if it is just marketing hype.

Masternode apr 2018  ,. coming soon.
Why not today ?  Grin

Doing a soft launch in their discord with a mega-downloadable windows wallet and no source.  For me, no source and only windows = a non-starter.  A person be a fool to run an untrusted windows wallet in the crypto world.  To get a few shillings one should not risk the family jewels.

Source please.

How are you all compiling this. I am trying on Ubuntu 16.04 for the daemon and cant get it compiled.

It says it uses libboost 1.55 or 1.57 and seems the earliest one I can find is 1.58.

getting this error mid-compiling:

const CScriptID& hash = boost::get(address);

The line 217 fix let the compile go a bit further...still issues in the leveldb build environment.

(just updated the src/leveldb/Makefile)
cd src/leveldb
make libleveldb.a libmemenv.a

qt compiled...online mining now.

too bad linux wallet binary is broken...uses dynamic libs.

unable to easily build from source either; I've built plenty of wallets.

Too much effort required...giving up on this one.

If the problem is with dynamic libs then this list should help You out - https://github.com/magnetwork/magnet/blob/master/doc/build-unix.md

Followed instructions in that file explicitly before I posted...no luck.  Static libs preferred, though a bigger executable it removes troublesome dependencies.  They can be resolved with enough work, but I'm not willing to spend so much time debugging it.

Seems some pools are perhaps still on the wrong chain after all these hours.  BSOD is on the RIGHT chain...coins in wallet from late yesterday and today.  Wink

I've been mining and holding ANC for several years, nearly from the start.  I agree potential is there, but it will require zerocoin integration, basically following the roadmap.  It does not matter to me if the timeline is long.

It is my opinion regular communication is needed beyond I2P for publicity for the coin to ever gain popularity and real value (bitcoin talk, twitter, slack), the very thing people trying to avoid attention loathe.  Further, with a very low value per coin as we have now, it cannot ever serve it's intended purpose to be an anonymous exchange of value until awareness is achieved.  It is again my opinion, somebody -at least 1 person who has some level of connection to the devs- will eventually need to officially attach their real name and face to this project to achieve its end goal.

I mostly agree, zerocoin integration is needed and i too do not care about the timeline.
Just some work and progress, perhaps a news letter, monthly or even bi yearly.

And yes, we need to gather a community on slack, i mentioned it a couple of posts back.
Although it is very good with the i2p irc chat for those who want to, we still need a mainstream alternative.

Real name and face is way less important than above, but still a good thing to have.

A name/face won't be important until zerocoin is integrated, and I agree it's not as critical as just having a slack,etc.  Then the question is who would step up to do it...doubt the devs, and I understand why.  Even to drive a slack, would likely be better if the devs aren't the moderators.
