Re: Pikcio chain looks like scam
by

on 25/04/2018, 16:43:53 UTC
Today I saw the news about Pikcio chain project. They require KYC after the bounty campaign after 4 months. What do they think? Crypto currency business is all about privacy. They try to collect personal information and we don't know what devil use are they looking at or how secure they hold these forever. It looks like a scam project, either they sell personal information or use it for bad things.

It is obviously a scam base on google definition .

SCAM = A fraudulent scheme performed by a dishonest individual, group, or company in an attempt obtain money or something else of value.

If it is a promising coin, better hold it because a good project usually surpass the ICO price and can double or more in long term holding. Make sure it is a good token or else you will lose more.

Re: Should i buy ethereum with all of my money ?

Not a good idea to buy all your money with only one altcoin. Never ever put all your eggs in one basket. I suggest to buy at least 4 kinds of altcoin and also bitcoin for long term. Entering the market is also crucial in crypto investment. Make sure to buy on red market and not in green market.

Re: The sky is falling, what is everyone doing...

It looks like the crypto market is in a free fall.  Btc around 7k, eth under $400, ltc around $100, alt coins are generally down significantly.  So what is everyone doing?  Go all in and buy more?  Sell and get out while you can?  Hodl and trust the process?
Holding it is better than selling, those whales are just playing with you don't get trap on this kind of strategy. This is an investment and in investment like this, it is normal that there is a down trend.

Hello everyone, longtime lurker but made an account to ask a question. I am looking to make a small investment in crypto but am having a hard time deciding which way to go. Im thinking either BTC, ETH, or XMR. Ive looked at google results on predictions if each but every different site seems to contradict the other. So what crypto would ypu invest cash in today?
Better buy Ethereum, Bitcoin and NEO. This coins are good for long term investment. I've heard that XMR will have an incoming fork called moneroV (XMV). Just stay away for monero for awhile and check what will happened on these event.

Re: Token distribution using KYC verification
by
Nakaba
on 31/03/2018, 08:13:35 UTC
several bounty projects, are now beginning to implement KYC on the distribution of their tokens
when I send my identity card is this safe? could it be misused?
It is not safe and it could be use in illegal activities if it falls in the wrong hand. Selling personal data in darkweb is also rampant that is why I suggest that don't join in a bounty where there is a KYC requirements. Bounty managers must also announce it before the campaign to avoid any problem and report to the DT's that may affect the credibility of the project.

Can anybody tell me what happen with eth now?Huh
What is happening in Ethereum is also happening in Bitcoin and other altcoins. It means its  a red market, that's my interpretation from what is going on with Ethereum. Get worry if Ethereum is going down while the whole crypto is pumping.

Hi guys. Do you have any experience with this exchange? Is it legit? Thank you.
If it is a new one better not use it until there are good feedback that is coming from users that experience it already. Once you deposit a coin, it will hard to get it back once it enters their platform if it is a scam platform.

Re: XOV: creating a central bank for cryptocurrency markets
by
Nakaba
on 29/03/2018, 06:06:29 UTC
XOV has arrived on bitcointalk.
https://www.xovercoin.com

Please support the XOV project. XOV is creating a crypto-central banking infrastructure to stabilise the crypto markets. We have support from Emin Gun Sirer.

There will be a seed funding round.

We will contribute more later.

XOV Project Team
This is hilarious. A decentralized crypto with a centralize bank. I don't see a logic why do we have to support it. Can you think of a better project and not a hilarious idea like this one.

Excluding Bitcoin and Ethereum

If you had no choice and had to invest 100% of your crypto monies into 1 altcoin, which would it be and Why?

Please only 1 coin and 1 sentence why.
NEO would be my first choice because it is called Chinese Ethereum where Chinese community and now worldwide are supporting it. It also have tied up with so many known companies that invest in it.

Re: Any chance market bounce back to where it was

on 28/03/2018, 08:48:28 UTC
For 2 months, market is not consistent. In the past, I have seen worse but the market bounced back well. The current scenario is so weird for me. Almost all the currencies, I have been holding has fallen to where it was when I bought. Can the market ever be back? Im a part time miner by the way.
Anything is possible in crypto. Expect that there is a big dump and pump because the market is so volatile. If the whales decided to pump it , no matter how hard we dump, it will go up because crypto is being manipulated by whales.

Re: China to legalize ICOs

on 27/03/2018, 19:18:22 UTC
China which had halted new ICOs stating the risk of investment of their is hinting of lifting the ban within 2018.
Director of the Center for Financial Technology, Yang Dong, hinted regulated ICOs are coming.

http://bitcoinist.com/chinese-official-new-regulations-2018-may-end-ico-ban/

If it is true this news will make the market back to green again, however we know that China is against cryptocurrency. Although regulation in ICO has a good effect in crypto because it can help us choose  a good coin that has a potential growth in the future.

Re: How to switch from PoW to PoS? Do I need this?
by
Nakaba
on 27/03/2018, 12:52:26 UTC
I'm cloning new altcoin. Everything goes nice.
I already have a working wallet and even premine some coins.
But I stumbled in one problem.

Let's say I want to have 125 million coins at all. 100 million is premine and 25 million for staking.
So on start, I premine 100 million using regular PoW. And then I have to turn off PoW and left only PoS?
Because if I left PoW, than everybody will be able to mine new coins easily like me on start. I can't change mining difficulty later because difficulty is built in genesis block.
And if I set big difficulty from the start that my premining will take a years.

So how should it work?
No one will help you because your purpose is so clear. Creating crytocurrency is not only about making money but also added value in the community. Helping you is like helping you get rich and rekt many investors. If you can't figure it alone it means you don't deserve it.

Re: Twitter banned advertising crypto currency
by

LONDON (Reuters) - Twitter Inc (TWTR.N) will start banning cryptocurrency advertising from Tuesday, joining Facebook and Google in a clampdown that seeks to avoid giving publicity to potential fraud or large investor losses.
They really need to do it because majority of ICO are fraud and only few ICO have a real project and a credible team behind it. It is also good if there is a regulation that will be imposed so that it will minimize the potential scam and only real project will get a fund that needed.

I doubt if this is true at all. If this is true this is already been banned by Facebook and tweeter. Even campaign managers and many participants would know it already. Don't be a victim on this kind of phishing attempt.

Re: My opinion about ETH
by
Nakaba
on 24/03/2018, 23:13:59 UTC
In my opinion , ETH is now more hot than BTC because the explosion of ICOs base on ETH Blockchain. During the recent dip, ETH price even a little come up, all altcoins and BTC holders lose funds but ETH holders still have profit. So i think that ETH will reach BTC price this year. What do you think guys?
Ethereum will not reach Bitcoin's price because the regulators are keeping an eye on ICO and many regulators are banning it. But I believe it still a good coin to buy for long term, just be realistic and you will earn good profit.

Re: Cryptocurrency Addresses Added to USA Sanctions List
by
Nakaba
on 23/03/2018, 21:06:32 UTC
Today we knew that the American Office of the Control of Foreign Assets, began to create a base of unreliable crypto-currency wallets. This happened, incidentally immediately after the signing of President Trump's decree, to ban the Venezuelan crypto currency "el Petro", where other currencies were listed, BTC, ETH, LTC, NEO, XMR and XRP, whose wallets should be included in the sanctions lists. It is interesting, Trump's order prescribes the blocking of cryptowallets of persons under sanctions, as well as suspicious persons, or those wallets, where was noted the interaction with wallets being prohibited. But, how to do it technically is not explained, but in the case of one of XRP (Ripple) - it could be done really easily.
In addition, the US Office for the Control of Foreign Assets, will encourage citizens who will send numbers of suspicious purses, to include them in the database.
Prove is here

Honestly, I don't think that there is a possibility to block wallets, of real cryptocurrencies, but as far as they knew how to track the BTC transactions (with all your personal data), and we cannot avoid such kind of control, maybe in future they will gain the ability to lock the BTC/ETH wallets. Nevertheless it is one point plus to Dash and ZCash.
 Any thoughts?
It is impossible to happen because USA don't own or access with the blockchain of each coin. Wallet address cannot be block and itis clear that crytocurrency is a technology that even a government cannot interfere with the transaction. He can ban the whole blockchain but he cannot choose to block a specific address.

Re: Do not sell your crypto!

I personally do not sell anything. I decided to keep everything at the end of 2020. as much as 2020 there are two alternatives will have failed tutot or I will be very rich
It is a good decision to hold if the coin you are holding is a potential coin or as much as possible a stable coin like Ethereum or Monero but if it  is a high risk coin, I suggest to cutloss if possible and buy back when the market is turning green.

too late now if you ask me
Its never too late for new investors because it has good community support like Ethereum. Even if they buy bitcoin, It is never too late for them because they can still get good profit from it. Blockchain technology is the wave of the future and we are still on adoption stage.

Re: Will Crypto end?
by
Nakaba
on 22/03/2018, 00:59:10 UTC
Crypto right now keeps on increasing its value and its very volatile as well. There are so many more rules and regulation are occurring against cryptocurrencies.

Do you think someday cryptocurrencies will end?
Is it too late to invest?
Is there a chance cryptocurrencies will be more down?
Do you still beleive in crypto?
What is your favourite Altcoin?

Cryptocurrency will not end, just imagine fiat currency, do you think fiat currency will end that easily? Cryptocurrency is still an infant. The adoption is not even reach 1% of the world's population.
