The incoming recession that won't end
by

Everyone is talking about the recession. Some believe we're already in it, while others think it's still on the way. The real question is: when will it end? And the answer might be never.

Low interest rates and a lack of demand for loans are often associated with recessions, and we seem to be heading in that direction.

Throughout recorded history, the economy has been driven by the idea that demand would keep increasing. But given current demographic trends, the global population is nearing its peak. In most parts of the world except for Africa and a few Muslim majority countries population growth has already peaked.

The demand for many goods and services is already in decline. Oil demand may have already peaked. The smartphone market isn't growing as fast as it used to. The real estate boom in smaller towns has slowed. Even the rise in demand for grains has tapered off.

This makes traditional investment tools like the stock market and real estate feel stagnant. Gold has been an exception so far, but as supply continues to increase and demand drops, even gold prices are likely to fall. The same goes for cryptocurrencies. Bitcoin might hold value due to its limited supply and lack of true alternatives, but most other cryptocurrencies will likely stagnate as they compete with hundreds of similar coins.

The big question for most people now is: where to invest for the future?

One obvious answer is the hospitality and care sector. With aging populations, the demand for services like nursing homes, hospitals, food and item delivery, ready-made meals, welfare checks, funeral planners, and more will rise. There are already services that let people pay for the funerals of parents they can't visit, or allow elderly individuals to prepay for their own funerals, knowing no one else might be around to arrange them.

Be prepared for it. As many economist are suggesting, keep a good portion of your money in cash. You never know how the economy would be.

Should have atleast had a unique name. Nobody would take a project seriously if it's name is too similar to another project and are using the same icons and images.

Re: What's the Best Trading Strategy for You?

I have been a failure on trading and I admit it. After learning leveraged trading, I can't do normal trading and has turned it into a gamble.
The best trading strategy that has worked for me is large range grid trading without any leverage. Yes, the returns are low and sometimes might go below 10% per year but a few wild swings or a bull run might rise the profit significantly.

Terrorists fighting terrorists would benefit the whole world.
I'm okay with moderate Extremist like Israel and Turkey take over Syria than terrorists. But another moderate Extremist group of Kurds could face genocide by Turkey unless they strike a deal that benefits both parties interest. US still milks most of the oil fields which is still better than the terrorists earning 100% of it.

Most of the matches today are easy to predict. But one or two of them might end up being a draw so it's not worth parleying them all. Manchester United, Brighton, Liverpool, Man City, Aston Villa should win. Fulham vs West ham and Crystal Palace and Leicester are more competitive.

Re: How to maintain the seedphrase safely, so that no malicious person can find it?

My current strategy has been to write it on two different notebooks (one after another) and keep it in two different place.
This way, I'm not storing anything online or in screenshot. Unlike private key, seed phrase are easy to read and write in when needed.
By keeping two copies, I'm minimizing the risk of writing down incorrectly or having spelling/word mistakes.
By keeping them in different places I'm avoiding physical hazard and disaster like fire or destruction by other means.
The notebooks are kept in a safe place with at least a lock security, I don't specifically write what the phrase are for so that there's lower chance of getting my coin lost as a theft or robbery.

I with all the work I've done, all the money I've made and all the time I've spent, what I've realized is you should stay away from people and trend you are not okay with. Money is important but you shouldn't increase your stress and get involved with shitty people just for the sake of earning a few more money. Money earned at your ease and with spending time with your loved one is more fulfilling than more money earned working all your hours doing stuff you don't like and getting involved with people you don't like.
Being in the circle of like minded people would help you prosper and keep up good energy. But you don't necessarily need them to seek validation for your existence. Being alone or being with the one you love is more fulfilling.

Re: Listing of catizen token announced
by

Hi everyone. It seems September is shaping up to be the month of airdrops in the TON ecosystem. First, it was HMSTR, and now I've just seen notifications of platforms announcing the listing for CATI.

Have you been farming this airdrop, or are you fading it like you did with Nots and Dogs? 🧐🧐"

Apart from these two X Empire will be listed by the end of this month or early October. CATI premarket trading has already begun on OKX and yes why should anyone not farm these airdrops when it is free money? DOGS did pay a good amount to many users who participated in their airdrop and the current price is still looking good in the bear market. I am expecting the same level of volume for both HMSTR and CATI as soon as they get listed.

CATI is also being pre-traded in Bitget and I believe it's would have a decent airdrop for its users.
Hamster on the other hand is very popular and hence high degree of cheating by users. They are sending the cheating achievement to users which might mean they would get a decreased payout but the degree and type of cheating on hamster is so huge that the amount a real user gets would be much smaller.
The Dogs I got on airdrop was instantly sold for $14, I don't remember spending much time on dogs except opening them once and doing some tasks. Had no referral and I don't remember opening them a second time before the announcement of airdrop and for that it is a decent reward.

I believe whales would bring the price a few points below 50K just to mess with people with stop loss and leverage trading liquidation at 50K.

Re: Buying at 35k?
by

on 14/12/2023, 14:23:54 UTC
Hallo people,

I bought some bitcoin at 26/27/30 and 31k. all profit so far, I am thinking about buying more, but is 35k te expensive to buy bitcoin?

People might have their opinion and people buying above 35K are already in a good profit. But I still think 35K is an expensive price to buy at as there are more risk than profit potential. The price of bitcoin is determined by the market but when the congestion is so large that you lose a large portion of your transfer in fees, the price aren't going to rise to the utopian price of 100K. Buy below 25K and sell above 50K. Yes, the price would again fall below 25K.

Re: Potential price of Polygon (MATIC) next year
by
Nalbo
on 10/12/2021, 16:52:22 UTC
Matic would surely grow but not 10 folds. The only reason people are into matic is due to it's low fees, if the fees kept on increasing like this and be similar to that of BSC (highly likely if matic don't do something to counter the rise in fees), people would again move towards BSC or a new chain that offers cheaper fees. I'm already having problem of larger fees and ever pending transactions on polygon. Not as larger as BSC but combined with the delay, it's sometimes frustrating.
