Halvening is not so good for these days, mining fees will surely rise very high. It was a good idea to sell my BTC before this happened, and I can only assume the price to fall even lower as time passes by. For buying, it might be a good oppurtunity but I doubt BTC will reach the price of 700$ again soon.

Why should a sold account be marked as a negative trust? He might face a grave problem and sure he might be defaming his name but maybe he needs that money very badly.
