Re: I am just Dumping all my altcoins!

Maybe it is not a bad idea. Now when Bitcoin is cheap you can reduce your loss by buying real cryptocoin - Bitcoin.
More and more people realized that altcoins are just pure scams.

Personally, I'm sorry I didn't sell my coins. The first time I could do it was in January 2018, the second one was at the end of November. I'm afraid there'll be the third fail according to charts!

Re: I Lost ETH Automatically From Ledger Nano S
by

on 12/01/2019, 09:47:53 UTC
Hi guys,

Today I lost my ETH automatically from my ledger nano s I didn't give my private keys to anyone and my hardware was also kept secure in safe place so as my recovery sheet. I contacted ledger support and didn't get any response yet, but it is weird to see all ETH gone from it. Below is the transaction details. I think I am not going to get it back but just wondering is there any hope?  Sad Cry

https://etherscan.io/tx/0x157c86c86a7ab4ebad7f5f54fe5ca242ba1eb234e34bec84ab856c4be329b149

I feel sorry for you. You may be glad that there were only $3k, not 33k. Different situations are possible: mb one of your close people find out your password and stole ETH. This is another confirmation that there're no 100% safe ways of storage of your money!

It was uncertain before and its even more uncertain now, only difference now is that people know that btc exists but there are still a large amount of people that have never used btc. I believe its like 1 in 10 that own btc, so the market is wide open.

As a matter of fact, you're right and wrong at the same time. Although many people know about BTC, they're afraid to buy it because they consider BTC to be a financial pyramid or a bubble. It's important to solve technological problems instead of recognition.

Re: STRATEGY??

I want to ask traders. What strategy makes sense when looking at the crypto market situation that is red. Besides observing the charts and their movements, I think patience is really needed in this case.
Please share a little of your experience of trading successfully.

Thank you for your time.

I'm not exactly a trader but I have some theoretical knowledge to answer you. There's no one general strategy - the period of time is divided into smaller parts which have local strategies. Each strategy influences the general situation

Judging by the market schedule for today. I can note that there will be no recovery. It seems to me that the market is now doomed. It's all about those fraudsters who ruined cryptocurrency. And the fact that someone there says that there will be growth. These are enthusiasts who continue to believe.

Don't be very optimistic or very pessimistic without reasonable grounds.  There's a lot of good news about some coins despite the situation in the market. Well, let's be realistic and strategize

I am interested firstly in the projects which are already backed or supported by some good collaborations. I am not really interested into hype. Thanks a lot.

Upd: I see indeed that the trading with tokens ofnsome project might be beneficial. Still i want to see project where to invest. The project should have good backing and financial proposition.

You want us to hand you the cream of the market on a silver platter, don't you? Nice idea. But funny. Maybe you think that you can take the bull by the horns, but you can't do this so quickly and simply)

I always wanted crypto to be used for payments in my life, and I can't encrypt crypto anymore, but I think it can take a long time to fulfill these wishes.

It seems to me it'll take too much time or will happen very quickly. Everything will depend on a concrete country and the adoption of laws on the legalization of cryptocurrencies and implementation of a blockchain in payment systems of some banks

Re: Your advice is needed

It's not a good idea to leave or quit your job just to go full time on crypto, you must atleast establish yourself and gain ground. You must learn everything in crypto. Try to learn and gain knowledge slowy and somehow you might know what you want in your life.

If you have no job, it's a nice idea to take part in Bounty and then adapt in the market. But if you have a job and want to give it up and start trading, it's hard to give any advice. Spend one hour in a day to understand whether you can trade or not.

I think CMT cybermiles is the most undervalued coin right now. Who ells has also buy them ?
Hard to beat the tech they have and members:

The projects and partners of the Krypital company are not bad, including CMT, ArcBlock and Eloncity, IMHO. I've been going after them for long, and I guess they have many achievements ahead!

a stable coin in cryptocurrency is usdt, you can keep your money there but do not expect profit

USDT has some gloomy points which don't allow holding money for long - it may come to the attention of sec at any moment. The most reliable method ever is to convert money into Fiat.

Re: Will bank and crypto industry unite or be linked?
by

Judging by the current development of the industry, banks are not interested in the use of blockchain technology in their processes, so merger is out of the question. But external regulation and mediation is exactly what the banks want.

Why are you sure about each bank in the world? Recently I've read that the main Russian bank implements blockchain technologies into its internal processes. It has little to do with cryptocurrencies, ofc, but still...

on 08/01/2019, 22:05:48 UTC
Jus bought in alt coins. Mostly dapp coins. I have a bunch of them. And a little less in Bitcoin. At this point I can handle the losses of alts. Hopefully it doesnt go 160% losses.
Here's a few to list
Neo. Ada. Xlm. Bch. Eth. Skycoin. Strat. Lisk waves, nuls, gxchain, Komodo , etc, qtum, Tron , Eos . Ox, ontology, pivx , zilliqa, and metaverse etp.
Year 2019 will be another bear market? Hopefully not.

update
changing my alt coins. to eos, xlm, trx, eth, bch, bsv, waves, metaverse etp, skycoin, bnb, zil

You caught yourself into the trap of eternal investor. You won't be able to overcome your greed and sell the coins. If I were you I'd get rid of all the coins, and left 5-7 ones which I'd be able to follow

I do not think that responsible people can be punished especially in our industry. Spend some time by researching any ICO in what you are going to participate in and within some time you would be able to detect scam projects.

I believe scammers will be punished by the law or karma! But the experience has shown that most projects are really aimed at the honest work, but they lose because of many difficulties and conditions of the market

Friends, does it make sense to take very cheap altcoins <$ 1? I think about buying, but I am interested in your opinion. Will they leave the market and exchanges, with such a strong fall?

We can't give you concrete advice because you don't clearly describe your strategy. Are you gonna trade these coins or hold them for 5 years? Make it clear, pls, because your success directly depends on your strategy

Re: Lesson from bear market
by

I can't imagine experience the bearish market of 2018 and yet not learning some very important lessons. I am sure a lot of people who in one way or the other were affected, will have something to say and would have known about how to engage of combat some difficulties inherent in crypto space.
The experience is not enough for one to quit, but it is mean to equip you more.

Only a few people will draw conclusions. Most people leave the market or rest led by the hope that they'll compensate their losses. there are few people who trade having a plan, and they'll achieve success!

Re: What will happen to Ether?
by

on 06/01/2019, 21:02:43 UTC
For me, you can buy ethereum at the current price, because now it's also good you can hold it in the long run, because ethereum is a good platform that you can  HOLD it with many benefits.
I guess in a year I would regret that I didn't buy eth at $100. But it's so hard to force me to buy after those long downfalls! How to reassure me to give money to this greedy bear market?

I want to believe that this is so, but I remember how long bitcoin was held at around $ 6000, it seemed that this is the bottom, but the collapse of prices then still happened, so there are fears so far

I hope, there'll be no bottom by the end of February. then more likely there'll be a new wave of the growth. The most important thing is to survive the Chinese New Year and winter silence!

Re: My objective opinion, why cryptocurrency will live and develop
by

I join the supposition of the dominant part, I additionally trust that digital currencies are the future, and this territory is just picking up energy. I as of late met a measurement in which it was appeared much time do individuals need to acknowledge either new innovation. So this figure at times achieves 10 to 20 years. Digital currencies have progressed significantly.

Most of us believe that the future of cryptocurrencies is close. Personally, I think the market will radically change in 3-5 years, and 95% of coins will disappear cause new companies and blockchains will replace them

Re: Ethereum again shows that he is the king of altcoins on the market !
by

As I write, Ethereum already dish XRP to 3rd place. I couldn't understand why XRP will even be above Monero and other good altcoins. XRP is good for it holders and might as well be a bomb waiting for a set time to bomb it holders, anyway lets threat XRP with caution we never can tell when the development team are coming to dilute the market.

Why does everybody pay so much attention to the place in the rating of one or the other cryptocurrency? I think this ratio's secondary. Innovativeness, regular updates, and idea are the most important features of projects!

Re: ETH return to 1000 USD after hardfork?
by
Nastinmel
on 04/01/2019, 22:03:10 UTC
see good news about eth which always appears every day, some people think that eth will go up to 1000 usd, but will this happen?
because after all eth is the strongest coin after BTC, and I believe that.
and even the new news says that eth prices will be half the price of btc.

ETH has grown much but it's too early to talk about $1000 for 1 ETH, I guess we'll see ETH at $1k in 2020 at the general growth of the market. I think $500-700 is the maximum price which we may see in 2019.
