Anime and food? Almost everyone knows and at least watched anime before so it's not really a surprise when anime is the first thing that comes to my mind if I think of Japan. Plus, the food there, from what I heard, is amazing.
There was a time when anime was the first thing to come to my mind. Nowadays, Bitcoin is the first thing to come in mind, since Japan is now the country with more stores accepting Bitcoin in the world.

But yeah, I have to admit that food is the second thing to come in mind.

Any crypto that manages to bring a working product, innovating in a way that solves real world problems, are capable of bringing great profit.
However, that's something very rare to find these days. I believe in the future of coins with DAG implementation and a good distribution model, and that's why I think Byteball has a great future.

Re: Litecoin founder Charlie Lee has sold all of his LTC

Well, I had to check by myself, but that's true. The reasons he exposed are nothing selfish or greedy, but I don't think it's enough to sell almost all of his coins. I mean, satoshi did not sold his to prevent conflict of interests or excessive influence, and it does not harm Bitcoin.
Anyway, he can do whatever he wants with his coins.

Re: Why is bitcoin the most popular cryptocurrency?
by

Bitcoin has been around for almost a decade, and has not only been shown to be resilient, but also very useful, while most other cryptocurrencies come with empty promises, or things that do not generate much demand.

Re: Why people scam

I also thining about it sometimes... I think that people scam mainly because of easy money. They only want to earn huge money with the low cost of money and energy. Crypto world is even easier way for them to do this because of more anonymity, decentralization and you know.

They also scam because of discontentment. They are not contented with waht they have that they are willing to do harm to other peopls for the sake of money. Yes your right, cryptocurrecies provide anonymity for the users that is why it is very vulnerable for theft attack and scam. It's very risky to transact with other people.

Being not contented with what we have is not good. The purpose why they scam other people is being greedy with the money. They thought scamming people is the easiest way for them to earn money. They do whatever they want as long no one knows their identity.
I would say it's more than greed. It's incompetence. Millionaires are also greedy, but they have the competence to create or invest in demand-generating projects that spread all over the world, creating business models that have been in place for decades.
If these scammers had the competence and skills that great entrepreneurs have, they would certainly choose to create a sustainable business model, since there would be money to be made.

Long time ago, before this recent ICO mania. But it wasn't a bad investment.

Nowadays, I would not put a single dime on it.

You should not mess with altcoins if you are new to this. Bitcoin is the crypto with more liquidity, so it's the best to trade. But if you want to insist with altcoins, try cryptocurrencies with high trading volume, start with small amounts.

The price doesn't look beautiful, but the trading volume is incredible. Nearly double compared to previous days, and the trading volume for the whole crypto market is around 6.4 billion dollars (last 24h).

Yes, in terms of USD. But not that much in terms of BTC. It's still very risky to buy any of these cryptos.

The sad thing is that Chinese people themselves have more to lose with it. It is a very profitable market, generates jobs, and will only grow in the future.

Thanks for sharing the information, but now it is a "sell the news" event, and it will probably not influence the price much more.
A lot of speculators was already aware of this... Although not official, Charlie Lee tweeted about it days ago.

Good one, but we are more likely to see Monero in second and Byteball Bytes in third place.

Re: What is happening again? The market is looking all red!
by

China rumors run very heavily.
this proves the value of bitcoin price is weakening, just as it does in stock market.
I do not know this will end when. which obviously makes many people panic.
At this point, I think these rumors are not the biggest problem anymore. People know that Bitcoin is resistant to such things.

I think this drop is the result of a misinterpretation that Bitcoin is in a bubble, when they can't see how Bitcoin evolved in the past few years, and they can't see where it can go...

Re: Buying from ICO or trading altcoin.

It seems that ICOs are the most risky thing to invest at this time.
I would trade if I had the expertise. Not ICO tokens, of course, but other high liquidity cryptos.

How is this better than Monero, which had a much fairer launch, and is able to provide good level of privacy?
Also, when Bitcoin receive features like MimbleWimble, would not these anon coins become obsolete?

I see a lot of hype, but not good reasons to consider the vast majority of these coins something better than Bitcoin to invest.

Re: Which altcoin transaction is fastest?
by

on 07/06/2017, 21:03:46 UTC
Most of these coins are using some kind of PoS, which actually has quick confirmations. The problem is that the way these coins work is not so safe. This causes exchanges to require large number of confirmations, and this will slow transactions anyway.

I'm curious about it too. I was thinking of using this, but I've seen some reports that say the service is not so user friendly.
