Re: what do you think about bitcoin price in 2018?

In this year January btc price was $800 — $1,150 and now it is around $7100.Can we imagine it will increase like this year?

The Wall Street has not gone into the Bitcoin or the cryptocurrency market. If they go in, the market cap of the Bitcoin could be more than the Amazon or Apple.

Re: Game over for now

Just when btc value is rising you suddenly said that it is game over. Some people just started investing I don't see why you will stop. Just because you cannot longer double your money in btc for a shorter time just like the old days doesn't mean it is not a good profit. Whether big or small as long as you gained you should be thankful enough for bitcoin. Anyway, if you really want to sell all your btc you may do so, that's for you to decide. There are people out there who are most willing to buy anyway.

I think when the Segwit is implemented, the price will rise further. But I hope it will not follow the LTC whose price did not increase after the Segwit.

Re: [2017-4-02]Bitcoin Tops $1100 As Japanese Payments Law Goes Into Effect

I'm not sure that a surge in Japanese consumers has actually resulted in that much of a surge in demand.  Maybe a little bit, but I think the balance of skepticism and optimism with a hard fork has been the main factor for a while and might continue to be.  I don't think that too many Japanese people are going to think, "Wow! I have to register my identity on exchanges now! I'd better buy some Bitcoin!  So, what's the best exchange nowadays?  Mt. Gox?"

I hope the Japanese will use bitcoin in their purchase. That will provide support to the bitcoin.

Re: Buy at $780-800 USD

There is no chance to buy bitcoin under 1,000$  Do not say $800. it's just a day dream. the prediction is at 1,500$ in May, 2017 and it could hit 2,000$ at the end of 2017.

If there is no approval of the ETF, the price might drop below $1000 for short period.

The Dow is very close to 20,000 and might very well hit it before Bitcoin reaches $1,000. But one thing I am sure, Bitcoin will reach 2,000 years before Dow reaches 40,000.

Next year, Dow will still be around 20000, but the bitcoin will be around 2000.

Yes exactly this way technology, education and lifestyle will go hand in hand. When university and school will come into usage of new technology then only other people will use it more. Era of next generation had began.

It is good news that the university students will know and use the crypto currency. When they graduate, they can use it.

Yes when u say stealing then yes its illegal. And bitcoin is a currency its also a money so stealing it surely illegal but what you are talking about is don’t think gonna happen. The chance to that happen is very very less.

I agree with that. I looked at the posts so far, it seems most people think the bitcoin is a proerty and stealing is illegal.

I think the one who steal bitcoins are not illegal because the bitcoin cant be traced you know lots of people are getting rid of their coins and no one is doing anything about it so it is not illegal.

I do not agree with that. Stealing of anything is illegal. Stealing bitcoin is not different from stealing other properties.

I don't spend it actively, tbh.  I believe that spending the coins now is  just not very smart , due to the fact that btc has a lot more  to offer in the near future..
Everybody hopes for that.
Spending Bitcoin can help to increase the value. If more people use it, it gets accepted in more places. That can give a higher value.

Yeah. Bitcoin circulating through the system will help bitcoin more than just holding them for the future. I believe we should allocate some bitcoin for investment or holding and some bitcoins for spending to improve the system of bitcoin. If we all hold our bitcoin, then there will be less transaction and less attractive to miners and merchandisers, thus losing bitcoin value.

If no one will spend them we can never expect its price to go higher in future and it will also make bitcoin as a weaker currency and circulation of coins is important for a better economy.

If nobody spends the bitcoin, there is no need for it to exist. So the price will go to zero. This happened before.

BTC can easily be used fort hosting for example or seedboxes and that sort of thing.
Yes bitcoin can be easily use for hosting because some website or hosting website are offering cheap hosting where you can pay via bitcoin i already tried this and its work good but i never use the hosting because i don't know how to use it i just tried to buy using my bitcoin lemao and thats weired.

I have paid for the VPN with bitcoin. It is quite a convenient process and make the transaciton quite anonymous for me.

Re: [2016-08-14] Bitcoin Price Slumps While Altcoins Party

The bottom line is that altcoins can no longer be considered copycats or reinventions of the same cryptocurrency wheel. Many of them represent compelling use cases beyond just payments and – whether long-term feasible or not – are dead serious about chasing investment capital.

That is true. There are many altcoins which are not just a clone of bitcoin directly. They offer many new funcation, for example, the Ethereum and Monero.

Another factor in bitcoin’s broader price decline could be the amount of news coming from the world of altcoins as of late. Once a fringe sideshow that most outside the cryptocurrency world didn’t even know existed, altcoins have seen their own share of drama and price surges that may be sucking the oxygen (and money) out of bitcoin.

now I'm not spending my bitcoin what I can do now is to save my income bitcoin to my wallet and sell if the bitcoin goes high, then hold again when the bitcoin is low, I'm waiting for halving , may be after halving, we will find out what will happen.
You need to have a specific number as a basis on how you can identify the price as high otherwise you will be waiting forever and you might miss your chance to maximize your profit.

I spent my bitcoin whenever I need to buy things online and if the online shop accepts the bitcoin. Then I will buy back the coins.
