Hey there! I'd like to point out this information isn't 100% correct.

Everybody that has any plans at all of interacting with the platform must comply with KYC requirements. While anyone can participate in the ICO, however, in order to actually transact in the system and make withdrawals, you must must be eligible under the terms of KYC standard under Australian law.

Documentation-wise, we require photo ID and proof of other personal details to prove one is a legitimate user. A KYC section will be released into the user dashboard shortly, so that you will have plenty of time to upload documents prior to the launch of the exchange.

On the other hand free/referral tokens will be restricted use for the first 2 years. (see whitepaper) to protect ICO contributors and fair value of our token.

Finally, the exchange launches in August. ;-)

Our wallet technology incorporates state-of-the-art security measures including two factor authentication and biometric authentication using smartphone fingerprint sensors, voice and facial recognition. We also offer compartmentalized wallets (cold and hot wallet) protected by multiple layers of encryption. The company is implementing protocols for Nauticus staff to ensure segregated human responsibility, approval, and audits. 2nd: it's very important to note that we have put a lot of emphasis in protecting our backers, and one of the protective measures is related to what you mention about being able to trade immediately upon launch. One **very** important fact needs to be stated here:

As stated on page 37 of our whitepaper, purchased tokens can be traded immediately on our Nauticus exchange once it launches in August. However, free, gifted and referral tokens are restricted to our platform only (for example for use in trading fees) for a period of 2 years after the ICO. After this period, they can be freely exchanged for fiat or other cryptocurrencies. 🎁 

🚫 This is to prevent large volume of free tokens immediately to be traded upon the launch of our exchange, and letting the REAL contributors suffer. This is a way of weeding out people who are only attracted to the referral program to make a quick profit and are not really interested in contributing to the project.

It's hard to know how many we are going to sell, since it's impossible to know the future. However, I can comment on the maximum supply if this helps clarify for you.

There are a potential 2.5 billion tokens, but what the total number of tokens will actually be is entirely based upon what is SOLD during the ICO.

Tokens are allocated as 80% to public sale pool, 10% user referral program, 1.5% advisors, 8.5% team. And all token metrics are based on public pool as priority.

All unsold tokens are burned based on public ratio 80:20, ensuring fair value for all contributors.

So, in really simple terms, it's best to think of it like this: whatever number of tokens are sold during the ICO is the single largest determinant of what eventual TOTAL token supply will be, as the public sale constitutes 80% of TOTAL supply.

For example, if we only sell 500K tokens during the ICO, then that means that 500K is now eqal to 80% of total supply, only leaving 125K for the other 20% and meaning that all tokens above the 625K amount will be burned, greatly reducing supply.

This is a really easy way to think about it. So, at present, it's hard to say what the final total token supply will be (until the ICO ends).

But what we can say for sure, is that whatever amount of tokens are sold during the ICO, this # will automatically become 80% of total supply, thus determining total supply amount.
