Re: Do the benefits of AI outweigh the risks?
by
NeMa94
on 21/09/2018, 11:49:01 UTC
AI should be developed, and it will be needed in all aspects of our lives. There will always be people to misuse anything, but the consequences of misusing this would be similar to nuclear weapons. So I believe that when the time comes, the world leaders should make regulations similar to the ones concerning national security and using such powerful tools. Let's face it - this could be like the Internet - you can use to do good or to do bad. The invention is not bad by its nature, it's the people that corrupt it. Always was, always will be. So it's up to us how this wonder will turn out.

Re: crypto in the present moment?
by

People invest in crypto for different reasons. This is why someone is frustrated and why someone is patient. Investors that trade need change on the market, while people that want Bitcoin to be used and accepted everywhere as a payment method need as stabile as a price can be.

Re: We need more moral education

I agree strongly on this one. Children are taught through media that mafia and other similar is good, popular and that that is the way the should behave. School should teach more about stuff that they actually need, not repeat over and over nonsense that they can google for a second if they need it. Problem-solving and moral is what needs to be taught in school. The moral standards have changed completely over the years and it is sad what we learn our kids to wish for.

I don't get why people are so depressed and all dark. Buy the dip, invest, these prices are so cheap that we should not miss it! Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies won't be going anywhere for some time.

Only the poor will understand this song.

"If I hadn't seen such riches
I could live with being poor"

Sit Down by James.

Such a real saying. Statements that money isn't needed are so artificial. The world we know today is based on it. Sure, there were times when other things mattered more on a global level. Now they just don't.

I agree with the starting point of the first post on this topic. People are not aware what's goin' on the market, and small few are buying the dip while we are discussing why has it fallen and when will it rise. Cheesy

Re: BITCOIN NOT SO ANONYMOUS!
by
NeMa94
on 05/09/2018, 10:26:46 UTC
I agree that Bitcoins purpose was not to be entirely anonymous, but rather fair distribution and decentralization. Many coins offer privacy if you are into the deep covering of your tracks. Still, it is a small chance that someone will take the time to track your transactions unless you are making some mischief. Cheesy

Not familiar with the mentioned Michael, but whoever he is, his speculations can only be that - speculations. No one can predict any flow direction on the market these days. Patience is key. Hoping for the best.

Re: Is small business ready to sell for cryptocurrency?
by
NeMa94
on 30/08/2018, 13:08:11 UTC
The problem is not in Bitcoin's technology or that people are not familiar with it. The reason why small businesses are not yet ready to sell their goods for Bitcoin or any other cryptocurrency is their unstable price if compared to the dollar. If more people accept the whole system, the crypto market will stabilize and only then we will see its use in everyday life.

Re: Is Global Warming Real?
by

People who are denying global warming have something pretty big with it  Wink Big industrial pollutants, politicians that need to deal with it (for real, not on paper) and others have the power to deceive us through media and other sources of information. Unfortunately, no one can deny it anymore.

We need more serious products, yes, and we should not leave all to the case. I believe that end of the year will bring us rising prices since everyone will be so busy with everyday lives, jobs, and stuff to leave crypto alone for a bit (including professional traders and those who might be behind this). Let's hope for the best.

Re: Banks Consume Over Three Times More Energy Than Bitcoin!
by
NeMa94
on 23/08/2018, 20:31:29 UTC
No one can deny that amount of energy used for mining is big, but let's face it - there are so many troubles with environment caused by us these days that this is just the tip of the iceberg. Focus on cleaning floating plastic islands and reducing junk. It seems that Bitcoin miners are the main problem of the environment, while eyes are closed for the obvious. Btw, I truly like the way it was pointed out that this is not the real and the biggest problem of mankind and that there are some previous ones that should be addressed.

Re: Altcoin To Buy Now?
by

Ethereum is way too cheap these days, so if you have the money, buy some. IOTA and EOS are great too. Again, do your research, look for new airdrops (I don't like ICO's, haven't had good experience with them, so I can't recommend it) or invest in BTC, that's the best Cheesy

Investing in altcoins is more fun, it requires smaller investment, or you can just invest your time and come out with five figures. But hey, if you are not into it, if you don't track it and you want boring, massive but stable investment, stick to the real estate.

Re: Do you use cryptocurrencies in your daily life? Are they useful?
by
NeMa94
on 22/08/2018, 20:05:01 UTC
It is not used often, but I had a chance to pay/receive crypto in real life (online work though). If you are working online, there is a bigger chance that you can trade work/time/product for crypto that in an actual store. It is a long way, but I do believe that people will trust more in crypto and be willing to accept it as a payment method.

Re: Opinions and Impressions about bitcoin

It is funny how media succeeded to convince people that cryptocurrencies are bad, used for bad stuff and so on. This is just a ridiculous attempt to stop the acceptance of cryptocurrencies and abuse of economy. The global economy is built on money made out of thin air and debt. Cryptocurrencies are equally distributed (as much as possible) and inflation is minimal. I hope this era of uninformed discussions and weak strikes against good changes will pass soon. Concerning reactions - the best one is: "Can I use it in games?"  Cheesy

I wonder why people tend to go somewhere and discuss something they don't know a thing about. Stay tuned, track announcements, don't spit on someone's effort and keep conclusions to yourself. Don't let your words go before you think something through. It's easy to say something is a scam or whatever. Get informed first. I am very satisfied with the progress of this project and Testament being involved says something about how serious this project is.
