I will not hurt safedice, i like safedice. I just did it that you see that I do what! That was the 3 and last time! I apologize again will not occur again. Have it only at the second time noticed that I was.

I'm not sure what do you mean by hurting Safedice but I guess what you did was affecting the client side / your browser ?
Please PM the detail so we can solve this together Smiley

I lost some coins because I deposited to Safecoin but my account was not saved and I have no clue how to recover it. Can an admin PM me and sort this out because it's quite a problem for me.

Thanks.

That sucks, but you're not the first who this happened to. The Admin is quite busy and isn't checking this thread on a daily basis, the best you can do is email him here: safedice@protonmail.ch and provide as much details as you can about your account and deposits. Sometimes he is busy but once he's online he is always very helpful.

Good luck.

Thanks for the advice!

I sent him at an email. If anybody has direct contact with him and can alert him of my situation I'd appreciate it.

Thank you frank!

Please check your email Neptunium, I'll help you recover your account once you confirm your ownership =)

Hi,

I sent the requested signature required to recover my account through email. I appreciate your help and am waiting for a response.

The forknote 2.0.0 alpha indeed forks the chains, because it produces blocks with wrong difficulty. I wrote this in the commit message ("Do not mine with this version"), and it is not in the 'releases'. But anyways, maybe it's not enough warning, shits happen. We got some conversation with Neptunium on private messages to debug it and his pool should be working fine now

My bad, I phrased it wrong when I said I used the latest version. I cloned the latest repository and compiled it myself.

MWD has this condescending attitude where nobody is allowed to make mistakes or hold their own opinion. I was never rude to him but he can't help and insult everything he doesn't agree with me on. I'd be happy to work with MWD because I see a lot of potential in BipCoin which was why I put time into setting up my pool. I'm open to suggestions and co-operating if I'm not treated in a negative manner by the dev of the coin, something MWD doesn't seem to understand.

Fuck you. I said one post before yours that I'd help you if you stop being a shit, and you post this minutes later.
I'm done with you.
Never ever posting your pool on official BipCoin stuff, and will never help you in any way.
You're way more trouble than your worth.

MWD

If Neptunium's pool stays in consensus for 1 week, and Neptunium stops being a demanding snowflake, I'll add his pool to the list of pools on the BipCoin website (likely with an Asterisk, like "there have been problems in the past, but this pool has been fine since 11/10/16)

This is exactly why I don't want to work with you right now. I'm not demanding but I do request some help and appreciate for providing a low fee pool for your coin. You seek out to harm me and my pool and being the developer of the coin I can't fight that. Either I am treated with respect like everybody else or I will leave your community.

You're acting like having my pool listed on your website is going to make me millions. I'm not going to shut up and run a pool with no miners for a week just for your "help." Treat those who help your coin with respect. Get off your high horse and instead of expecting everyone to bow down to you co-operate with others and give appreciate to others who have done nothing wrong but contributed to your community.

You're clearly incapable of doing this so good day to you. Bipcoin will never succeed when it is run by a condescending self-entitled prick. You are wasting everybody's time.

...... I am taking my pool down tomorrow once I'm finished mining on this low hashrate.

"wha! I can't work well with others! I'm taking my ball and going home."

Fine. I'd like to have a third good pool, but it's not worth it to deal with you. Makis put up a pool weeks ago, it had an issue, he fixed it, it's worked perfect since then and he is so fun to talk to and work with and so talented that he's now a member of the BipCoin team.

My experiences with you have pretty much exactly the opposite. And you've wasted a lot of my time for not only no return, but a negative return (you being rude to me.)

MWD

If you're going to be so stubborn...

The fact that you are NOT this stubborn (and rude) is why your coin failed.
And you blame it on not having a team. Well, you couldn't assemble and keep a team because you're sloppy and rude. I'm precise and kind and fun. So people like to work with me.

Oh no, am I not good enough to join the prestigious Bipcoin team? You are stubborn on topics you have no clue about. That's your problem.

Do you think I will run a pool with no miners for 2 weeks just to "join" your team? Does that seem reasonable in any direction? You are the one who started insulting me and spamming your own thread when my pool wouldn't work properly. You're not precise, you're definitely not kind, and you're counter-intuitive rather than "fun."

The only people who work with you are those getting something in return. I set up a pool out of my time and money, not yours. If you won't appreciate that then you have an issue with working with others. Grow up. You sound like a kid who spent his life alone and just now decides to come out and interact with others.

I had problems after I announced my pool 3 days ago. There are no problems now. There is no harm to add my pool to the Bitcointalk thread. If there is nobody mining on my pool I will not keep it up. Up to you.

You're pushy man. You first sent me 2 PMs telling me to add your pool to the BipCot site. Then when I didn't do that (I was asleep), you posted it TWICE on this forum. Then it forked. Then it forked again.

I will promote this pool, if at all, on my own time. Period.

Stop telling me what to do.

And you're obnoxiously rude. I sent you a PM and posted on the thread about my pool which was never able to sync with the Bipcoin blockchain as a lack of your RPC support. It did not fork today. I took it down to reset statistics and resynced the blockchain. It was up after half an hour.

If you're going to be so stubborn your coin will not get anywhere. Right now no reputation is at stake because nobody cares too much about the coin. Smiley
I am taking my pool down tomorrow if there are no miners as I am taking advantage of the low hash rate myself.

First payment on my pool! http://bip.crypticbear.com/#payments

Come mine with us with the lowest fee (0.5%) of any pool: http://bip.crypticbear.com/

Nice. I'll keep an eye on pool (especially block height) for a week or two before recommending.

If it stays in consensus, maybe you could write a little tutorial on how you set it up, and I'll run it by some people to tech check before posting it?

Hey, that new color scheme makes me want to leave immediately. Your old one was better.

I've updated the color scheme, the current one is better. I didn't hate the pink myself but I would see why some wouldn't like it.

I'll try to write a tutorial in the next few days. But one or two weeks seems excessive, no? The pool is working fine just as the rest.

that's what you said the last bunch of times. lol. And my reputation is at stake if I recommend your pool, and I don't know you.

Pepe confirms, the website http://bip.crypticbear.com presents a header and a preloader-circle that just doesn't finish loading.

Working now! Had to do a quick restart.

My BipCoin pool is finally working! I'm sorry for all the problems encountered before and not testing its functionality. If anyone was wondering, the problem was using the latest Forknote release which did not support mining. I'll be mining on the pool with a good amount of hashpower to start it off.

Our advantages:
  • 0.5% fee, the lowest of any BipCoin mining pool!
  • Payments sent out every 20minutes with a minimum payment threshold of 1.0BIP
  • Slush mining!

  • Global block explorer and public pool information on blocks and payments
  • Frontend hosted on a separate server from the backend
  • Run by a high end server with DDOS protection to provide the best uptime

Come mine with us: http://bip.crypticbear.com/
Keep in mind our frontend is on a separate server from the backend so when connecting to the pool use the IP 167.114.182.172.
This is also a full Bipcoin node!

If you need any help with anything (even setting up a miner) send me a PM! I'm on here almost every day.

it is the config in the forknote/configs

before your pull request
and forknote pool

Strange how it won't work for my pool. Are you getting the "Failed to validate block" in your daemon as well?

I am also running bipcoin.conf and i have not any problems...

With forknote? And you are able to properly sync to the main blockchain?

Mind sharing your bipcoin.conf if it is any different?

I've updated bipcoin.conf for Forknote to work with Bipcoin. Feel free to correct me if anything is still wrong.

https://github.com/forknote/configs/pull/3/commits/2fe5d899cfaf49ea5d0c76ef191e1ec05af3b733

UPDATE: My daemon is receiving errors like this:
Code:
WARNING Failed to validate block 640f77bc5565fba4b206d290f349b56712a38413f96ad3fe2cbe2e889cf3de3d: Wrong block version

It seems I am running a separate blockchain. Is there something wrong with bipcoin.conf?

If I wasted hours of your time that's your problem.

If we give of our time to give one-on-one support to help people who want help, we have a problem?

You insult the dev team of a coin you want to run a pool for, and want the devs to promote your pool??

oh man. good luck with this. You're going to need it.
lolz.  Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

I'm not insulting anyone, you are. Just to make it clear, I wanted to run a pool out of interest for the coin and cryptonote. It doesn't hurt me one bit if you won't support my pool, I just won't run one. Nobody wasted "hours" of your time but yourself.

One of our team members helped you today, right?
And don't blame him on this because someone else set up a pool from his instructions and it works great.
It's computing 101 to test things before announcing them.

When did I ever blame someone? I did not receive any "instructions" besides that I can use forknote for my RPC server. Yes, should have tested it first, but you are getting way too upset over a mining pool that won't work.

If you're looking for something to blame look at your own strange code with no documentation. Missing RPC support, no genesis chain in CryptoNoteConfig.h. I's a bit of a hassle for someone to figure out what your team did with no explanation.

Nobody was harmed from a broken mining pool.

I'm not 'harmed", but you're wasting our time. Hours of it today.

Also, if we hadn't noticed it, and you'd left it up (I think you would have), any coins people mined on it would be worthless. I'm looking out for BipCoin fans, many of whom are noobs to mining. (We attract them because we have great tutorials, and we'll sometimes take time to give one-on-one help. Most coins won't.)

MWD

I wouldn't have left it up, I was in the process of testing it. It's a mistake but it's far from anything serious. If I wasted hours of your time that's your problem.

Then you're lucky.

Woah... calm down. The issue was the config file I was using for Forknote was outdated. The reason I had to use Forknote in the first place was because Bipcoin does not have the latest RPC API. Nobody was harmed from a broken mining pool.
