Re: Bitcoin Destroyed me at all.

I understand that you are devastated, You virtually lost more than half of your investment. This is many people would recommend not to put all your eggs in one basket but since you have already did, it seems that you did not lost hope totally. You are still willing to wait until bitcoin hit the $11,000 mark again which I assume is still possible. Just HODL sooner or later the price will recover and you will be able to get back what you have virtually lost.

Why not ...in dumping market how can I sell my Bitcoin, ethereum because when market was high rank then I bought bitcoin and ethereum but bearish market, how can I sell bitcoin. So only hold ...hold ...& Hold.

MORONITY is strong in this community,

Transactional trades in all human history have said "Cut your losses"

But in BITCOIN people are told to "HOLD THEIR LOSSES, ... all the way to zero"

INSANE is the btc community.

Well it actually depends if your strategy is to invest then people will tell you to hold, why? BTC  community knows that price swings are really insane in crypto currency, but they do know that in the long run it goes up. Now if you are a day trader then cut your losses by all means.

I remember an a video in you tube where Warren Buffet is being interviewed. I cant remember the exact numbers but I remember that Mr. Buffet has -60% on his stocks if you are wondering what is the stock it was Coca Cola now that stock is worth Millions.  Why did he not cut his loss well because he just stick to his strategy.

Re: Is it Game Over for Bitcoin?
by
Nerman
on 01/12/2018, 01:23:18 UTC
Prices have been on a constant decline ever since this year began. There's been FUD all over the place, and governments have been cracking down on Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. In addition, there have been several hacks which have also contributed to the decline in the value of the whole cryptocurrency market. As such, many people have lost their faith in Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies in general, as they've lost a lot of money.

Despite this, it seems that most holders would not give up on Bitcoin no matter what. But, if Bitcoin keeps declining in value until it becomes worthless, then long-time holders (like me) would become disillusioned. For those who want to protect their investment, there's the option to sell Bitcoin into USD or exchange it towards a stablecoin like Tether. However, even Tether has lost its peg (although in some occasions it heads back to $1) sometime this year, which means that not even stablecoins can be trusted.

Nonetheless, what are your thoughts about this? Will it be Game Over for Bitcoin? Or will everything go back to normal soon? Huh

Bitcoin or cryptocurrencies are here to stay, regardless of it is value many people and companies already realized the benefits and potential of the block chain technology.

I know that this is one of the longest decline (price wise) but I still believe that prices will recover, do not know if it is soon.

Re: Right time to buy a lot of bitcoin.

on 06/07/2018, 05:34:41 UTC
I think now is the right time to buy more bitcoin because the price is very low,  but I think after a while bitcoin price will rise again and if we buy  more now we cant make more money in the near future. What do yo think?

Actually it will depend on your strategy, if you are planning to buy Bitcoin now your strategy is for holding it for a very long time because most of us believe that prices will go up in the future. Now if your strategy is day trading it is a different ball game and there are more strategies and study needed before you buy some coins.

Re: The EU's Biggest ETF Firm Expands Into Crypto Products
by
Nerman

Quote
Europe's largest trader of exchange-traded funds (ETFs) is now entering the crypto world.

Amsterdam-based speed trader Flow Traders NV co-CEO Dennis Dijkstra told Bloomberg Thursday that his firm was expanding its trading products to exchange-traded notes (ETNs) based on bitcoin and ether.

XBT Provider, a Stockholm-based firm that offers ETFs based on bitcoin and ether, confirmed that Flow Traders NV has "dramatically increased" its securities trading over the last few months.

According to Bloomberg, unlike the major U.S. trading firms currently offering cryptocurrency futures, Flow Traders is the first one to "disclose it's buying and selling crypto notes listed on regulated stock exchanges."

In the interview, Dijkstra said:

"People underestimate crypto. It's big, and it is to be regulated very soon. The market participants are much more professional than people think. Institutional investors are interested -- we know they are because we get requests."

While the Dutch company is moving forward in crypto trading, the country's regulators are wary of the move.

Nienke Torensma, a spokeswoman for the Dutch Authority for the Financial Markets (AFM), said in a statement that "We discourage activities in cryptos both by consumers and professional license holders."

"By virtue of its newness and the anonymity it potentially offers, it is very prone to abuse. Given its inability to serve the promised purpose as a currency, we don't regard it to be an asset class," she continued.

CoinDesk reported in March that the country's finance minister, Wopke Hoekstra, issued a letter to Parliament to urge for "an international approach" to regulate cryptocurrency.

https://www.coindesk.com/the-eus-biggest-etf-firm-expands-into-crypto-products/

I think the net effect of these announcements mean: european investment firms are offering bitcoin and ether ETFs(see: bolded portion of article).

While US markets and the SEC struggled to approve a bitcoin ETF in 2017, europe has gone ahead and done it in 2018. Once again US regulation fails miserably. Europe has approved bitcoin and crypto ETFs. While the united states probably will not approve either in the next 10 years.

This is getting a bit sickening for me being an american and seeing exchanges like bitmex outright ban US residents from trading on leverage. Its almost as if a quiet war is being waged against america and the US economy. Crypto, business and financial opportunities around the world like bitcoin ETFs are being denied to americans. While europeans and foreigners receive much more privilege in terms of support via regulation.

Assuming this is true this is wonderful news (but it can be better if they offer more stable coins). This will be more convenient for people who does not know how to begin investing in Bitcoin. Also since it is offered by an institution it will, people will be more confident in investing on it.
I hope this will be a game changer and more countries will follow.

Re: People call bitcoin a fraud or ponzi scheme
by
Nerman
on 06/07/2018, 04:58:37 UTC
Bitcoin is a fraud or a ponzi scheme has been out there for a while now but to be honest fewer and fewer people are thinking that way. I think the only way we can beat this thinking is by properly educating people on how the block chain technology works and what Bitcoin is, what is the purpose of Bitcoin and what are the benefits of getting into crypto currency. Now if the people you are trying to teach does not change their mind then let them be. Sooner or later they will realize that they are wrong about crypto currency.

Re: Is Bitcoin Dead?
by
Nerman
on 05/07/2018, 05:06:12 UTC
Bitcoin prices have been in a free fall and dropped to a low of $5,860 a week ago.

It meant it dipped below $6k for the very first time since October 2017. Cumulatively, BTC has lost 70% of its value in 2018 and the peak of $20k on December 17 is just but a stat now.

Another Bitcoin is dead topic, every time we see that the price goes down people who have doubts with the block chain technology. Common guys Bitcoin will never be dead. Price goes up and goes down every time in all markets.

Re: Investors continue to invest in crypto-currency
by

on 05/07/2018, 04:56:34 UTC
Yes Investors will still continue to invest in crypto currency specially now that the prices are very low. Experienced investors know that the best time to invest in the market is when it is down. Everyone is positive that the market will recover and prices will go up.

Advice to the new investors, if you are going to go in the crypto currency market and planning to hold for years this is the best time to pour in your money.

Using P2P I think will not have that have much impact on the market, just a minor positive. I do not know for sure but I think they will lift the Ban and instead they will put in more regulations. This is a win win situation for crypto traders and the Indian government. This is another way for their government to earn more money.

Re: South Korea Opens Doors for Cryptocurrency
by
Nerman
on 05/07/2018, 04:39:28 UTC
Before this time, almost Korean investors really worried about new tax policy for cryptocurrency.
That's why all news said the government will apply 3~40%taxes for crypto at Jul~Aug.
But today, the government said we will apply 10~15%taxes for crypto like interest income tax, and it is very acceptable to all Korean investors.
Also they said we feel hard to say it will happen within this year and although will happen this year, there will be 1~2years stay period.

http://news.naver.com/main/read.nhn?mode=LSD&mid=sec&oid=023&aid=0003382087&sid1=001&lfrom=kakao

In conclusion, Crypto is accepted by government's legal property, SO MANY KOREAN INVESTORS WILL GET INTO MARKET AGAIN!

This is great news because the 3%- 40% is really a big number specially if they decided to tax it in around the high 30%. With the 10%-15% it is attractive because it is a more specific number, which is actually an acceptable number if you are going to pay tax. This will make Koreans interested again in to the crypto currency market which will surely affect it positively.

Re: Correction or Depression
by
Nerman
on 04/07/2018, 05:18:48 UTC
I think this is depression, what I saw in the market this month is very, very sad, although right on this day the market is in a period of green, then showing improvement, but I do not know if the green market will continue, some time ago continuous correction happened and it made me think that this is depression.
Could be, this is depression because many people panic with the state of declining market trends, so they worry the downward trend in market prices will continue. along with many people who make sales compared to buying in various market exchanges, then it can affect the movement of market prices so that the movement of market prices always be at a low point.
These changes are gonna happen now, crypto currency has volatile mature mate, it will never remain same, and we really need those changes because it effects our earning, so instead of being stressed we should support those corrections, price will be change so I think now we are at positive side of those corrections which is getting high our income for rising price, no more depression will be there I think.

I Agree, there is always a bull market and a market. That trend has been happening in all markets and not unique to crypto currency.  Sadly we are now in a bear market which is also I think healthy to the market, People lose a lot of money but overall price corrections are necessary to make the market healthy. If price went parabolic there sooner or later price will go down as we see in the prices. Just believe on your coins and just be patient.

Hi

Anyway, how much average to get big profit trade with bitcoin?

Actually your question will depend on you. Probably $100 maybe big for some people and be probably small with some. Also it will depend on how much you are investing. Also with the current situation of the market you need to be careful specially if you are to trading in crypto currency. This market is very volatile. You may lose your money really fast.

Re: WHEN WILL PEOPLE LEARN?
by
Nerman
on 04/07/2018, 04:57:34 UTC
So saw many self airdrops of ERC20 tokens and wave platforms in social media. They would promise their investors a cheap token price purchase, and in turn promise a good listing price at the exchange. 98% of these self airdrop never make it to exchange, and the few that get listed in a decentralized exchange get pumped for 2hrs and there after dumped forever. Why do you think people still patronize these scamming project and not study good ICOs and buy?

For them getting lucky on one coin will be worth it. For them it is like hitting the lottery, which personally i do not think is called investing but gambling. They are betting on some coins that has low potential. They do not realize they are just making the creator of the coins richer and them poorer. Again before you invest on anything study it. Check if this coin has a real potential.

by
Nerman
on 04/07/2018, 04:53:58 UTC
Bitcoin is too resilient to perish though there are fluctuations in the prices on the market. Market will soon stabilize in no time.Do you believe that?

Yes I believe that market will soon stabilize, there is no way that we will  forever on a bear market. This is a common trend on any market after a bull market there will be a bear market.

Now that we are in a bear market people just need to be patient and careful. Also people just need to believe their instinct, do not panic sell.

This is great news, specially for tourists that has using Bitcoin. Thailand is one of country that rely on their tourist, I do not know what will be the impact of this on their tourist economy but it will be really convenient for their tourist.

I hope Thailand can show the positive effect of Bitcoin so that their neighboring countries  would follow their path.

Right now it will be hard since we are in a bear market. It will be risky as coins prices suddenly drops within a few minutes.

I already have read some tips on how to be an effective Arbitrage trader in this forum just do a search.

Again be careful current trend of the market is not in favor on this type of strategy.

Almost all best practices have already been shared on the topic but here is what I can share.

Do not rush to do trading. If you are totally new in trading including on all markets it is best that try to gain experience first. Try trading using a demo account, there are many exchanges that allows you to have a practice account. If you do this you will not be surprised on how volatile the crypto currency market.

That $6,000 support level have proven itself so many times this year and it is really hard to doubt it. That is the strongest support level and that will be our bottom. People are always willing to buy on that price because they know it will be safe or at least less risky when it hit that price.
