We've seen a lot of people entering this market because of 'hype' and a lot of positive media attention.
They're are not familiar with it, so they came and they went, causing a gigantic drop.

Re: Cryptocurrency Crash
by

We're currently in a bear market, which is not an usual thing in a market.
We've had a long bull run, especially in Q4 2017, a bear market was predictable.
Do not immediately believe what the press tells you, but get your own opinion.
Crypto is not dead.

Good luck!

In my opinion, the current prices are really now and this is definitely a good time to use the 'buy low, sell high' strategy.
However, if you are planning on trading short term (day trading), the current price isn't too important.

Good luck!

Re: Is It Advisable To Follow TrollBox During Day Trading?

You can always take a look at the TrollBox, sure.
But I highly recommend not to use the TrollBox with your trades.
Do not let yourself be influenced by the TrollBox, I guarantee you will fail in your trades.

You don't need luck to trade.
You need skill to trade.
If you think the reason you lost money is because of your luck, I suggest you build some skill first, then you will understand.

Good luck!

I don't think Bitcoin can drop under 6,000$. The news is positive and it's all looking good.
I'm for sure holding all of my coins I currently have in my wallets, I suggest everybody to do the same.

Re: Newbie should trade or not? Please give me idea.

We all started as newbies. If you don't wanna risk real money, try a demo account first.
There are several exchanges offering a practice/demo account, where you can trade with virtual money.
This is what I did, and i took it very seriously, which is really important.
Treat the virtual money as if it is real money, only then you'll be able to gain experience.

Good luck!

What are your experiences with Cryptopia (exchange)?
by
Netcre
on 02/10/2018, 16:11:51 UTC
Hey!

So, here is the deal:
Some of my friends tell me Cryptopia is a solid exchange to trade on. Especially for the smaller coins (not in the top 300),
But, some other friends absolutely hate Cryptopia, they say the UI sucks and it even has scam coins on them.
Both of them have a point, I know the UI isn't the best, but i also know it's good to trade smaller coins on.

I'm wondering, have you ever used this exchange and if yes, would you recommend it?
Looking forward to see some of your replies!

Re: Crypto world vs Fulltime job? to establish better life.
by
Netcre
on 02/10/2018, 16:05:15 UTC
The advantage of a full-time job is simple, it's safe. But on the other hand, you do not control it yourself.
You can work as hard as you want, but your salary won't really change. You can work as long as you want, but you have restricted hours per week.
Personally, I don't like working a full-time job, because you get payed per hour, and not per performance.

Trading on the other hand, will reward you for your performance. You control it yourself, and that's something I personally love about trading.
On the other hand, trading brings risk. You should ask yourself whether you are willing to take a risk in your life.

You can also choose to do both, and when trading works out, you can always quit your job. When your trading sucks, you still have your job, right?

In your position, i would go for the last option. Study how trading works, and how you can make money from it and then slowly start trading with some small money to get experience.

I love how you're considering this. Nowadays, most people just play it safe and go for a full-time job. They don't even think about taking a risk. You do. Which i really appreciate!

Good luck, you can always send me a message if you need any advice!

Re: Should I stop trading in this bear market?
by
Netcre
on 02/10/2018, 15:56:49 UTC
If you can't profit in this bear market (which is hard), then I suggest you should move your money to UST (Tether).
By doing this, you can wait for a turning point of a potential bull market, then, you can easily buy Bitcoin again.

If you can profit in the current market, then keep trading i guess xD.

I'm still trading myself, whether we're in a bull- or a bear market.

Good luck!

Re: Paying for education
by
Netcre
on 02/10/2018, 15:50:42 UTC
Expensive education isn't necessary, at least, not for me or for any of my friends.
We taught ourselves by starting at a young age, watching videos, talking with each other about it, etc.
I took some courses on Udemy for the sakes of it, and it also helped me understanding it better.
My advice: learn in practice, apply what you've learned and what you know, learn from others, etc.
I never needed expensive, regular, long education. Decide for yourself whether you need it or not.

Good luck!

Re: Short term vs. Long term investments
by
Netcre
on 02/10/2018, 15:44:27 UTC
I spend most of my time trading short term. I've got some long term investments running in the background, where I almost never look at.
However, trading short term (daytrading) requires some skill, while long term investments are relatively easy to do.
If you have experience, go for daytrading, cause it can generate a lot of money when you are good. If not, play it safe and go long term.

For me, daytrading is alot more profitable for me, but it requires alot of my time aswell. Long investments take 0% of my time.

I'm currently holding Cardano, Verge, EOS, NEO and some others. Pretty safe and solid investments in my opinion.
But my advice to you is: check out coins yourself, compare them and decide whether you wanna invest in them.

Good luck!

Re: Is worth buying coins under $1?
by
Netcre
on 02/10/2018, 15:31:55 UTC
Yeah. Depends on the coin though. The value of a coin is determined by the project and technology behind it.
A coin worth less than 1$ can be a great project. Look at the amount of supply: you will see XRP has a lot (39,935,410,492 right now).
However, a coin like Bitcoin Cash only has 17,380,450 supply. Because the supply of XRP is a lot, the price per coin is low.

The amount of money a coin is worth has nothing to do with the project behind it
So, yes, why shouldn't it be worth it?  Roll Eyes
