I do support meme coins and I think meme plays an important role in the crypto world.

Some of the top meme coins I have purchased or I will purchase:

(please let me know if you other thoughts)

  • ConstitutionDAO (PEOPLE): A DAO initiative that raised over $42 million to buy a 1787 U.S. Constitution copy, demonstrating DAOs' potential despite losing the bid.

  • Scotty the AI ($SCOTTY): An AI-enhanced meme coin focusing on crypto security and fraud detection.
  • Dogecoin (DOGE): The iconic meme coin with substantial community support and widespread acceptance.

Last week, Phemex (totally one of the big shots in crypto exchange) kicked off something called PhemexPulse. The Apple Store says it's flipping the social trading scene on its head by giving everyone a super interactive and rewarding community vibe. I saw tons of influencers hopping on board, and guess what? I got to chat with them straight up in the PhemexPulse group chat – totally awesome!

DM me or leave your group name here, and I'll add you on PhemexPulse.

Re: Bitcoin mining’s comeback in China
by
New Money
on 10/02/2024, 17:29:13 UTC
I don't really think China will let crypto mining make a comeback anytime soon due to its stringent regulations on cryptocurrencies and related activities. However, Hong Kong presents a more favorable environment and could be a great starting point for those interested in crypto mining. The city's more open stance towards financial technologies and digital currencies might offer better opportunities for the development and expansion of crypto-related activities.

Re: What does BTC mean to you?
by
New Money
on 07/02/2024, 02:57:13 UTC
BTC, to me, is primarily an investment vehicle. Given the limited opportunities to invest my additional cash, I turn to the crypto market, and BTC is a significant part of that strategy. It's not just about diversifying my portfolio; I see it as a hedge against inflation. In a world where traditional investments can be unpredictably affected by economic fluctuations, BTC offers a unique kind of security and potential for growth.

Re: Can bitcoin be stolen?
by
New Money
on 06/02/2024, 02:37:40 UTC
of course BTC can be stolen and there are more than 6 ways of getting fxxxxx up. (Excuse the language, but I need to say it because it is very serious)

1) Phishing: Scammers trick you into giving up your wallet info with fake emails or sites. (Your fault)
2) Exchange Hacks: Sometimes hackers break into crypto exchanges and steal Bitcoin. (Not your fault)
3) Malware: Bad software on your computer can swipe your Bitcoin details. (50% of your fault)
4) Scams: Watch out for too-good-to-be-true offers; they might just run off with your Bitcoin. (Your fault)
5) Public Wi-Fi Dangers: If you're using public Wi-Fi, hackers could intercept your Bitcoin transactions. (Your fault, dont use PUBLIC FREE WIFI)
6) SIM Swapping: Hackers take over your phone number and get into your crypto accounts. (Not your fault)
7) Lost or Stolen Devices: If someone gets their hands on your device with your Bitcoin wallet, they could transfer your coins out. (50% of your fault)

Re: Trading on your own vs social trading and copy trading
by
New Money
on 28/01/2024, 03:47:13 UTC
Trading on your own is great if you've got the skills and time. You're in full control, making your own calls based on your research and instincts. The upside? All the profits are yours, and you get a real hands-on understanding of the market. But the catch is it's time-consuming, and the learning curve can be steep. Plus, the responsibility is all on you, so you've got to be ready to handle the stress, especially when the market gets wild.

Now, about social trading and copy trading – these are awesome if you're still figuring things out or if you're strapped for time. Find the best social trading platform, and the big pro here is you can learn from experienced traders. You see what they're doing, understand their strategies, and even mirror their trades. It's like having a mentor guiding you along.

But here's the thing: you've got to be super careful about who you're following. There are legit pros out there, but also scammers looking to make a quick buck. So, do your homework, check their track records, and don’t just follow anyone blindly.

Social trading has the added benefit of community support. You're not just copying trades; you're part of a group sharing insights, which can be super helpful. The downside? You can get swayed by the crowd's opinion, which isn't always right.

Copy trading is more hands-off. You pick a trader, set your parameters, and let the system do its thing. It saves time, but you're also relying heavily on someone else's decisions. If they win, you win, but if they lose, so do you.

Re: I Want To Invest Money From My Inheritance In Bitcoin, But?
by
New Money
on 28/01/2024, 03:27:28 UTC
Signing a contract might not solve everything if the BTC price drops. Remember, this is Bitcoin we're talking about - it's really unpredictable.

Even with a contract, your siblings might still be upset if they lose money. Are you ready to take that risk with your family ties? It's not just about the money; it's about keeping a good relationship with your bros and sis. Maybe think about a safer investment or get a financial advisor on board to guide you all.

I have a silly question. Don't you need to write down the very long password or code for the wallet somewhere else? I don't think people can memorize it because it's incredibly long.

So, if you get kidnapped, you wouldn't be able to give it to the bad guys, right?

I began receiving phishing emails related to Bitcoin, Crypto, Wallets, and Warnings two years ago. Always verify the sender's email address; if an email claims to be from Coinbase but doesn't end with "@coinbase.com," then it's likely a scam.

Re: Can Bitcoin create an opportunity to reduce poverty?
by
New Money
on 20/01/2024, 19:12:06 UTC
Nope, the introduction of Bitcoin isn't likely to reduce poverty. Historically, trading systems have evolved from bartering with items like shells and fruits to using currency, yet poverty has persisted. The fundamental issue of poverty isn't necessarily tied to the type of currency in use, but rather to broader socio-economic factors, including the distribution of wealth and power. Typically, those who benefit most from changes in financial systems or the introduction of new currencies like Bitcoin are individuals already in positions of power or with substantial resources. Without addressing these underlying systemic issues, the mere introduction of a new form of currency like Bitcoin isn't sufficient to significantly reduce poverty levels.

Re: Will the bitcoin ETF have any impact on the bitcoin price?
by
New Money
on 19/01/2024, 04:49:38 UTC
As soon as [url:https://phemex.com/academy/bitcoin-etf-approval-2024]Bitcoin spot ETFs[/url] were introduced earlier this month, issuers immediately began vying for a share of the market. These ETF products simplify the process for investors to invest in underlying assets, but they also entail management fees for the issuers. However, in the case of Bitcoin spot ETFs, many issuers quickly lowered their fees to draw in Assets Under Management (AUM). The fees vary from 0.2% to 1.5%, and some issuers are even offering a fee waiver for an initial period to boost the attractiveness of their ETFs. For instance, Valkyrie, an ETF issuer, has reduced their fees to a mere 0.25% and is offering a three-month fee waiver following their ETF's launch.

The competitive free market drives these 11 Bitcoin spot ETF issuers to enhance their services, but it remains uncertain how much investment they will pull into the cryptocurrency sector. Anticipation of SEC approval had driven Bitcoin's price from under $30k in October 2023 to over $45k by January 9, 2024. Yet, many anticipated the SEC's final approval by January, leading to a widespread "sell the news" sentiment upon the actual ETF launch. The prevalent theory suggests that by the time the ETFs received approval, this event had already been priced into Bitcoin’s value, potentially causing a price dip as the news became a reality, leaving little room for future positive sentiment. Contrarily, some argue that post-ETF approval, issuers might need to acquire more Bitcoin, potentially exerting upward pressure on its price.
