im current mining on ethermine pool..the miner runs fine for few hours and gets disconnected for few seconds and then reconnects to nanopool and gpu keeps running...i dont know whts the problem...can anybody help...

What pools do you have set on Pools.txt file? Set it at Ethermine for 1st back up pool and see if that helps.

Hey guys,

So seems like one of my RX480s Nitro+ has packed up. The lights at the top light up ok but fans don't come on even during start up when all fans should. I've tried moving it around to different risers but still end up with same result of not starting up. I've moved the switch to powersave to see if it was anything related to the BIOS but no luck. I've checked all around the connectors (without opening up the card) and everything seems ok.

Anyone have any idea of what else I could do to check it? As it's not being recognised by PC I can't even run further tests.

Cheers,

Hey guys,

Haven't posted in a while Smiley

Is anyone mining Electroneum on Nanopool? What sort of H/s should I be expecting from Rx480s 4Gbs? Just testing so far but from initial setup only getting 750/card.

Thanks in advance.

That seems ballpark correct if you aren't overclocked or bios modded. the 470 I had  (completely stock) did a bit less than that

Thanks for feedback. Yeah currently OC and getting around 28.5MH dual Mining ETH and something else.

Guess no really worth mining Electroneum at the moment. Better off ETH and exchanging it.

Hey guys,

Have any of you been able to mine on the Nicehash server since it has come back on? wondering if they've changed any of the settings on it as I'm not able to connect :/

If there are no buyers then it fails to connect; it's up and running on MultiPoolMiner.

Thanks so in other words I need to use the Nicehash Miner? or is there another way to mine directly through Claymore v10.2?

UPDATE: NH back working through claymore although profits not much better than just mining ETH and Sia/Decreed directly

I recently put a machine on ETC and updated the drivers to the blockchain drivers, so the machine mines faster now, but is more unstable, even when I shut off dual mining.  Can anyone share with me their run parameters for a Sapphire rx nitro (non-plus) 480 8g card?  I am running windows 10 with v 10.2 with the August 23rd blockchain drivers.  Would love a suggestion on how to get this to run stable and not have cards tripping out.  I have tried raising and lowering voltages, lowering ethi to 1, and turning off dual mode, but not really found a stable set up.  Appreciate any thoughts.
Thanks

I'm using this config.

Code:
-epool eu1.ethermine.org:4444
-ewal xxxxx
#-eworker
-epsw x
-esm 0
-allpools 1
-mode 1
-estale 1
-ethi 16
-gser 2
-wd 1
-r 0
-dbg -1
-tt 75
-ttdcr 80
-ttli 85
-tstop 90
-cclock 900
-cvddc 800
-mclock 1750
-mvddc 800
-powlim -10

Works like a charm on my 6x480 rig Grin

Thanks know this was for someone else but I tried adding.
-allpools 1
-mode 1
-estale 1
-ethi 16
-gser 2
-wd 1
-r 0
-dbg -1

to my file and I'm back up to 28MH from the 19 it was weirdly running at. Will remove one at a time this weekend and try to find out which one saved the day. Also is gser and rdg new ones for v10.2? Don't remember them from last time I read it all.

Hey guys,
me again!

So. I'm still running 6x RX480 4gb saph nitro+. Blockchain drivers, Memshift Anorak Bios, OC with AB.

So out of two rigs with exactly the same setup I've recently been mining on nicehash with around 28MH per card. On Nanopool dual mining ETH/SC I've been getting around 25MH. After the whole nicehash hack I've had to go back to nanopool until they get the systems back up and running.

Thats all fine and one rig is running golden. My other rig however has now decided that it will not mine at anything higher than 19MH with the same settings. I've tried reinstalling the drivers, reupdating the Bios, playing with OC, went back to V10 claymore, etc but no luck the cards are just refusing to run at over 19MH. Does anyone have any idea what could be causing this? I think I'm going to switch the hard drives around tonight to see if that does anything but short of that I'm stumped. Guess it would mean a fresh windows install if it does solve it.

PS. when I tried powersave bios on half the cards it did drop it even further to 16MH. previously on powersave I was getting around 22.

Looking forward to hearing what ideas you guys might have.

Please check what EPOCH is used in both cases. I have a miner that use different EPOCH randomly, and mining speed is completely different: from 9.5Mh to 23Mh (!!!). Did not find any possibility to control what EPOCH is used so in my case the problem is unresolved :-(

Thanks but don’t think this is it. With the blockchain drivers we should avoid epoch issues. Have you updated to blockchain driver?

UPDATE: So I swapped the hard drives around the rigs and now the other rig is running with 19MH instead... I'm pretty sure all my settings are exactly the same... Is there something windows could have changed after a few too many crashes?

On another note... Who here mines with Nicehash to be paid in BTC? Was by far most profitable mining for me... Is there an alternative to nicehash that I can keep using through Claymore?
MiningPoolHub has auto algo switch with Auto Exchange option. Connect to the Ethash port and it will switch among Ethash forks.
Another option is mining directly to an exchange address, where you set auto sell for the mined coin. You can use a pool-switching app, to mine different coins on the same algo.

Sorry that went a bit over my head... Currently I'm mining ETH and DCR on the Nicehash server and they pay weekly in BTC. I'm manually putting in the exchange but I'm wondering if there's another one similar to Nicehash?

Check your risers they be burned.

are you sure that "burned raiser" is not an urban legend?
bad molex contacts is something I encounter very often, but actually burned raiser is something that I haven't seen yet, but then maybe I'm just that good Smiley

Yeah I had a burned molex (peripheral cables)... It actually burned out on the PSU itself and damaged one of my outputs. Have just ordered a new cable from corsair and used a different output... What could have caused this? Can I do anything to prevent it? Could a claim be made vs corsair for warranty on my 1200w PSU?

How many things did you have plugged into your molex line?  Did you use a corsair cable or a different brand?

3 RX480's N+ 4GB on each with the final socket unused. Corsair that came with it

That was your problem, you can only put a maximum of 2 on a single molex cable or you risk burning.

So what I should only have 2 on a 4-6 adapter? I mean its worked for over a year no problem but then its burned it. Because its damaged the slot on the PSU I also now don't have enough slots to buy extra cable and extend it.

Whats the other option? I'm not even sure what to call the adapters I could use as replacement. The peripheral cables were hard enough to find and had to go corsair directly for it :/

On another note... Who here mines with Nicehash to be paid in BTC? Was by far most profitable mining for me... Is there an alternative to nicehash that I can keep using through Claymore?

Anyone running Sapphire rx nitro+ 570 8g cards with Hynix memory at a rate higher than 25 Mh/s?  I can't seem to get the cards to run over 25 Mh/s even when running blockchain drivers and with running 1750 straps or the uber straps.  Hoping someone has found a way to make these things worth it.  I can get the cards with Micron memory to run at 27 Mh/s, but can't get any more with Hynix memory.  Looking for some suggestions.

Have you tried a different pool? On nanopool I only get 25 with my nitro plus. On nicehash I'm getting 28

I love Decred.

Tip:
I mine Decred using Claymore's with Ethereum, sell ETH and investing in PoS mining that yield about 1.8% every 28 days:

Wink

Which pool you using for decreed?

hey it finally crashed after about 12 hours... weird though as machine has been solid for so long... sorry I don't know how to paste the log in different format
The log file ends unexpectedly, with no error. I suppose that must be some hardware fault. What are your clocks and voltages? You said that the rig was working flawlessly weeks long. Was it dual mining all the time?

Yup! nothing has changed which is why I'm a little surprised. I tried running it back on v10 where it was working for longer but that also crashed. went to the rig last night as well but it was working without problems so I didn’t bother restarting and running it

But for some reason now I can't run my rig for more than 5 minutes without it getting a hard crash... I've tried running V10 but that also seems to be crashing now. Not really sure what could or might have changed to be causing it to crash now.
Post the last lines of your log files.

ETH only i have 98mh\s on a rig
ETH + DCR (- decri 5 as lowest) i get 94.7 mhs + 159 h/s
Try "-ethi 16 -dcri 15" and "-ethi 16 -dcri 30". Post here the result.
If your electricity cost exceeds 0.10 USD/kWh, dual mining has a slight profitability edge over single mining on nVidia GPUs at the moment. For me, it's not worth the increased power consumption and hardware wear.

But for some reason now I can't run my rig for more than 5 minutes without it getting a hard crash... I've tried running V10 but that also seems to be crashing now. Not really sure what could or might have changed to be causing it to crash now.
Post the last lines of your log files.

I had security set to restrict write access had to remove that and let it run to get a log. Typical it has gone on to run for the last hour no problem

Hey guys,

Running a 6X480's 4G Nitro + Crimson Drivers, H81 BTC Pro, 8gb ram Win 10 Claymore V10.1 Virtual mem 32gb. Oc through Afterburner 2k 1150 (been stable for well over a month)

Have two rigs running with the same settings and they have been golden for the last 4 weeks. Around 28.5 MH while dual mining Lbry in Nicehash Pool. Then yesterday my second rig crashed and had to be manually reset (couldn't log on team viewer).

But for some reason now I can't run my rig for more than 5 minutes without it getting a hard crash... I've tried running V10 but that also seems to be crashing now. Not really sure what could or might have changed to be causing it to crash now.

Any ideas as to what could have happened? What can I check or change?

Following settings for start.bat
setx GPU_FORCE_64BIT_PTR 0
setx GPU_MAX_HEAP_SIZE 100
setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1
setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
setX GPU_SINGLE_ALLOC_PERCENT 100

.exe etc....
-allpools 1 -estale 0 -esm 3 -ftime 10 -cvddc 980 -dcri 42 -ttdcr 79 -ttli 81 -tstop 85

Edit: Is there a new blockchain driver? AMD settings are saying I should update to 17.11.1 from 17.30. What is the Enable compute options under global settings? I'm not seeing that as an option anywhere

v 10.2
driver 16.9.2
NsGpuCNMiner.exe -xpool pool -xwal wal -xpsw x -di 01 -tstop 65 -dmem 1 -allpools 1 -h 940

Max 760 h\s per card 480x
Why I can reach 900 ?
What I need to do ?

on eth I have 30+-
Use blockchain drivers, modified straps, core 1250 and above, and my settings -dmem and - h

Is this for 4gb or 8gb cards? I have blockchain drivers, 480 Nitro+ 4GB modded to around 1250c 2000m. Only getting around 750h/s...

I tried looking at strapping the memory myself (currently using Anorak Memshift) but I'm not confident enough I fully understand the areas I need to modify. There is 1:1500, 1:1650, 1:750.... but then theres 2:1500, 2:1650 etc. Should I be copying the line 1:1500 to all the other 1's (up to 2000 that is)then doing the same with the 2s?

I believe it will work for both 4gb and 8gb Cards, I have 4gb Cards myself and have never had any problems with those.

But what did you do? Put 1:500 Straps on rest of options? What does the 1:or2: even represent in this case?
