Why should it be a failed system? Maybe its not 100% perfect but in the current developement situation of cryptocurrencies it is the best system possible. Maybe there will be some new innovations in the roadmaps once they are released.

I think I'll go with Selfkey for this time. TheKey is also promising but the cap for crowd sale is hilariously low with 10.000 Neo while max cap for each person is 10 NEO....telegram group has 25k members btw

I think KNY is more important than ever, so all coins/tokens with the goal to make identity verification easier should be welcome (especially in the area of ICO's)

Made a short research but couldn't determine the real winner:

Selfkey:
- based on ETH +
- huge team
- one advisor is founder of IOTA +
- working demo product +
- acting globally +
- medium market awarness (small telegram group in comparison to TKY) -
- favorable ICO price -> huge room to grow ++

TheKey:
- based on NEO (don't know if good or bad) +/-
- only focussed on chinese market but chinese people are not allowed in ICO?! -
- high market awarness +
- good team (Catherine Li) +
- political connections and patents +
- favorable ICO price -> huge room to grow ++

Civic:
- based on ETH +
- Vinny Lingham hype +
- longer on the market BUT imo not much "progress" -
- high market awarness but not much room to grow in the current state imo -



So KEY and TKY should be better IDV projects in my opinion and both will have an ICO this month. So which one is better in your opinion and why?

I'm new to Syscoin, so this might sound stupid but is Syscoin really 100% decentralized? Are the goods which are offered on the marketplace controlled by the developers? Decentralized mixing and anonymity is really great and important overall but without some regulatory power this could easily turn into some kind of dark web marketplace like Silkroad 2.0 🤔

Following projects are very promising in 2018 (not all are altcoins):

ETHLend: Lending will be very important and ETH is also the most important altcoin nowadays. Also watch out for the new partnership with Brickblock!
0x: great protocol...really don't know why there is no real pump in 2017...but i'm 99% sure this will moon in 2018
ETH: might reach 2000$ in the end of 2018 (or even more after Casper)
BAT: still undervalued because of its terrible marketing but it will shine soon
REQ: There are sooo many payment networks out there but I believe in this one...good possibility to go to 1$ in the end of 2018
SNM: sleeping giant which will overcome GNT
PPP: In my opinion its better than PPT
Ripple: a little bit unsure about that one but a little pump is possible

ETHlend because:

- great Team with great Telegram support
- some good connections/supporters
- working product
- lending/protocols will be big in 2018
- ICO price: 1 ETH = 25.000 LEND
- KYC for safety
- 80% sold out after 1 day!

ZRX, BAT and PPP could turn out to be a great investment in 2018
