I thought this was legit at first and when an account was made for me I was impressed bit then I take a closer look and I see people doubling their money and right away I know its a scam . 1% per hour really ??You can't make 1% an hour. Arbitrage is just the cover up story for nothing more then a ponzi.

just checked. no issues. 5 connections
use addnode=vtrseed.cloudns.asia in your vtorrent.conf file
then delete peers.dat file (it will create again)
hey tried that..doesn't work still. Any other nodes?
edit: it is fine I got the node list from cyptoguru.tk and it works now.

has anyone actually tried compiling the windows wallet version of VTR with OTP_ENABLED? Is it not the same as their release? It's missing all the OTP stuff on their GitHub like askpassphrasedialog_otp.cpp etc... that's references when OTP_ENABLED is set.

Its kind of hard to see potential when VTR's birthday is December 11, 2014, and we are Dec 14, 2017 now and all there is to show is an updated op.

I dont use torrents much but I do stream most of the tv and movies I watch and these guys look like a winner to me. I know this thread is full of much more experienced people when it comes to streaming and torrenting so I'd figure Id ask for your opinion before deciding on investing.

I think you are just a big vTorrent bagholder and now purevidz is scaring you and your investment in vTorrent. Dont hate on the guy because he's building somthing in one month that it's taken your dev over two years and still has not completed it.
I guess its not just me being afraid of purevidz being another scammer judging from grand total of 2.75 btc invested so far from 2 investors in purevidz ICO, I am willing to bet that you are one of them, and please quote me completely so people can see how I proof to you that purevidz ICO is very dangerous and must stay away.
Open your eyes and brain, The purevidz is simply just a SITE with NOT decentralized service from their so called 'moderator'. And the token has not much to do with torrent with blockchain AT ALL.

Im not surprise to see another ICO attempts to get some BTC from people hoping for cryptocurrency and torrent related type project, and easy answer, vTorrent is still a clear winner since Purevidz is just for video streaming which is just merely part of vTorrent which is focus on whole bittorent scene. Their tech demo stuff is pretty smart to make some people excited but trust me torrent streaming on site is not something they have created and have been showcased long ago.
Don't be foolish and give btc to another ICO before project is actually proven to be real deal.

Buy orders have jumped from ~5-6 BTC up to 11.6 BTC today
I just noticed the 5,6 BTC buy at 600 sat, I also noticed the sells around 2200 sat, looks like someone is trying to prop up the market to get people to buy from their sell wall.
I think it's the other way around, some guy trying to push other people's wall down, after a while it removed, yesterday I have seen it a few times, pushing down walls from like 24xx satoshi to 22xx then remove then buy other people's stack, then repeat again

So, what's the best way to move forward with the Chinese exchanges? I haven't really had a time to look into them just yet.
Probably keeping in mind that the Chinese are completely unaware of this coin and maybe by listing on a smaller exchange we could gather interest.

When there are articles being published about torrents and crypto, it needs to be posted to the Chinese sub-forum. Then it will be possibly picked up by local news and translated.

When staking my list of recent transactions on the overview page & transaction page never seems to update. The next time I reopen the wallet the new transactions are listed so staking works (I can tell because Windows puts a notification in the bottom corner everytime I get PoS) however in terms of display nothing happens.
Also in terms of the wallet I find it times out/lags a little and I'm using a very high-specced computer (i.e. 6 core/32GB RAM/GTX 1080/SSD/Windows 10.1). Perhaps it's Windows only that lags at this stage? I mean the wallet eventually recovers and doesn't actually crash or anything, but it doesn't look like its playing along as well as it could.
Understandably these are both low-priority issues but would be nice to see them addressed at some stage)

I have the same error, the transactions that are mined never show up in the transaction list (but they are added to the total) untill I load the wallet again, but transaction back and forth bittrex show up straight away.
Also cyberhacker is on BCT, he posted a few times on this thread.

We are in the process of designing the way seeders should earn their token (transferable to VTR) from seeding, as torrent file seeding normally divided into pieces, in the beginning we will implement static piece size (most likely 512Kb pieces) and have user settable demand price per piece.
For example, 700mb file, if user pre-defined price at 0.5 VTR per piece
700*1024/512 = 1400 pieces
Then users would earn roughly around 700 VTR for 700mb file, AND only if he is the only user seeding this torrent at that given moment.
In real-life scenarios, users only earn from the pieces they contributed or seeded to the network, and seeders are earning from leachers not VTR network.
If anybody have any suggestions or ideas about how we should reward the seeders, please PM me or reply in thread.

Sorry is this for tokens or for actual VTR?
If its for VTR and not tokens then the entire currency would currently only hold 10TB of data which is smaller than a drop in the ocean.
Or are users able to set a price (in which case 0.5mb/VTR would be extremely high).
No chance of an increase in prices? lol
Looks like some $ or BTC pricing mechanism is needed.
