What is Crypto Parrot?
Crypto Parrot is a cryptocurrency trading simulator that allows you to exchange your play profits for real Bitcoin.
Each new user gets 100,000 play dollars in their account. Once you start trading and make some profit, you can exchange your profit for real BTC.
At the moment, play dollar exchange rate is 1,000 $PD = 1300 sats = 0.00001300BTC which is about ~$0.12. Please note the exchange rate is dynamic and subject to change.
It’s important to note that you can redeem anything you made above the 100k play dollars that were given for you on signup, which means that you will have to make some profitable trades to claim the rewards.
Payouts on the platform are powered by Lightning Network; please check the link at the bottom of this guide to see how to use Lightning (pretty simple).
So how to sign up?
To get started, go to the website.
Enter your email and password on sign up form, and this will take you to the next step where you will be allowed to choose your username.
Or use one of the social media login options such as Google Sign-In, Twitter, Reddit or Discord.
Once you choose your username, you will be taken to the main feed where you can start trading straight away.
However, if you want other people to see your trades on a public feed, you will need to verify your email. After successful registration, you should have received an email confirmation email to your mailbox.
Making your first trade
Unlike real exchanges, here you don’t have to worry about making a deposit. Instead, you can start trading straight away. Each new user gets 100,000 in play dollars.
In order to make your first trade, you need to click on the “New trade” button and then fill in the required fields. Default pair is set to BTC/USD, if you wish to change it you can click on the arrow and that will give you the list of all available pairs.
The simulated exchange supports 3 types of orders: Market, Limit and Stop. Margin trading is also available with USD pairs.
If you want do not want to share your thoughts, you can make your trade private by toggling the “Share on Timeline” button.

Nice one there OP, these are the type of projects that will get positive comments when shilled because it is more like an educative one. This will really help newbies and existing traders by being a master of their own trade, it is a very good initiative and I will surely take advantage of this opportunity too to perfect my trading.
I just hope we will not so used to it to the extent of forgetting that its only a demo trade, and maybe when we reach a million dollars we will want to catch it out LOL, you know demo trading can really be easier than real life trading no matter how hard the trader tries.

We strongly believe that education is the route to mass adoption of cryptocurrencies and the most importantly Bitcoin. To your point about people forgetting it's only demo trade, I don't think that will ever be the case. At some point users want to move on and dip their toes into actual thing. Only difference that they will have more confidence and actually going to know what they are doing.

It's a great site for beginners who are eager to learn about trading. I just wish that I have found this one when I have just started trading.
It's the experience that could teach us actual trading like the service that you offer could really make learning faster and realistic.

You are still welcome to join, we happen to have a lot of experienced traders who simply try out more aggressive strategies or use it as a test lab to improve their trading skills, try new charting techniques etc.
You can also help the newbies by commenting on their trades and pointing out their mistakes.

I think this will be a good website for newbies to learn and practice trading. I had my first trade in coinex when I was new and it was terrible I lost some money since I thought I can trade because I've read some and watched somw lessons on trading. This will really be helpful to simulate and be familiar in trading.
This is useful, but won't help much since actual experience is gained by actually trading. Learning strategies and perfecting them through real world usage along with usage of bots is the primary way for anyone to learn trading in such a volatile environment.While this obviously can't replicate the emotional side of things which you experience when trading real assets, I feel it's still important to gain that initial experience. It's same as pilot using plane simulator before doing real flights, just to get used to what may happen, if you know that you can perform well when on simulator, I think that gives good kind of confidence once make a switch.

Nice dashboard layout,but what's the point of simulating trading when lots of crypto exchange and forex platforms can offer demo accounts.I don't quite get your business model.How do you plan to monetize this website?Will it be available for free forever?
Hey, demo accounts do not allow to people to interact between one another, nor it allows you to make notes on each trade. On Niffler you can learn from the community within as you are not isolated to it makes learning more fun. Not to mention you can exchange your play dollars into cool rewards and participate in trading competitions. Generally there are no motivation for user to learn on DEMO exchange, while we make it much more interesting.
For experienced traders it also works as sandbox to try new trading strategies or do some experimenting, and obviously share the ideas with others. Think of it as trading lab for that matter.
We do not have plans to charge users, but we plan to charge certain projects who want to get listed on the simulator, as it's good organic advertising for them.

Innovative and interesting way to promote Lightning Network. To be honest, I have not even tried Lightning Network so far as I still comfortable with what I have been using since the first day I know about bitcoin. Anyway, it makes me attracted to try your site and I've just installed Eclair wallet on my phone. Hopefully I can try it as soon as possible although I need to learn some more thing before trying it. For now we accept submission manually via email, but if enough demand is there, we will surely build in a feature to submit. As you may understand this is not our main project and something we did to have some fun, LOL
