I had been selling my USDT to a person at a good rate, and he would give me cash via a bank cheque withdrawal. He told me that he was involved in P2P transactions, sending money to random people he knew, offering them a 2.5% commission for accepting the money into their bank accounts and withdrawing it as cash.

However, things took a turn when, during one of his bank visits to PNB to withdraw the P2P cash, a group of cyber police officers arrived and arrested him on charges of cyber fraud. They took him to the police station and later called me in as a potential suspect. I explained to the authorities that I wasn’t aware the money was part of a scam and that I believed it was legitimate P2P money.

After a lengthy investigation, they decided to release me, but not without continuous accusations and allegations of fraud. I ended up paying them a bribe to remove my name from the suspect list. While they did let me go, they didn’t take me very seriously and kept insinuating that I was involved in fraudulent activities.

In the end, the person who was providing me with cash was sent to jail after the court proceedings. Unfortunately, I also lost the USDT I had exchanged through him, as it was involved in the fraudulent scheme.

I had been using the OTC face-to-face method to exchange USDT to INR in the Delhi NCR region, but I stopped doing so after facing some legal issues and incurring significant financial losses. I had forgotten about this post as I had been busy with other matters.
