Yu, probiert hätte ich das so wieso. Aber ich habe mal gekuckt. Falls das mit dem Dell nicht klappen sollte, werde ich auch nochmal 20-30€ für ein Netzteil aufbringen können. Zur Not.

Glücklicherweise ist mein Vater Elektro-fachgroßhändler, somit sollte ich keine Probleme haben, nach dem Urlaub mal den Stromverbrauch dieses Computers ohne irgendwas zu tun und Grafikkarte messen zu können.
Tja, und wenn da noch genug Platz nach oben ist, dann ist da genug Platz nach oben.
Die maximale Ampere-Anzahl bei 12V sollte 22 sein, sofern ich mich da nicht irgendwie vertan habe. Klingt das realistisch oder nach totalem Schrott?

Entschuldigung, eine 5850 wäre mein Ziel. Die heißen einfach alle zu ähnlich.
So, ich habe jetzt auch mal mit dieser Website durchgerechnet, und der kommt auf 276 Watt.
Der Bedarf ist also rein theoretisch gedeckt.

Ich habe vor, mir nach dem Urlaub eine 5850 zu kaufen.
Allerdings habe ich Sorgen ob das Netzteil ausreicht. Ich habe nur einen alten Dell Dimension 5150 mit einem 305W Netzteil.
Das muss allerdings noch einen Pentium 4 versorgen. Festplatte und CD-Romlaufwerk werde ich ausbauen, da ich das Mainboard aufgrund von Platz- und Temperaturproblemen außerhalb des Gehäuses betreiben werden.
Ich wollte jetzt halt einfach wissen ob das Netzteil für eine ATI radeon HD 5830 reichen wird, sofern ich den Speichertakt untertakten würde. Den Core will ich nicht übertakten, da die Karte lange halten soll.

The only creepy thing is the power consumption.
I don´t think, that a 305W power supply is enough for this card and an intel pentium 4
Can anyone please post any advices for the power of a new power supply?

I can simple take out the mainboard and power supply out of the case.
And then, I haven´t any restrictions for cards.
I don´t need CD-Rom and HDD, too, because I use Linuxcoin
For 60€ more, I can buy a ATI Radeon HD 5850
The only thing that worries is the power consumption.
I only have a 350W power suppy. Is that enough for an Intel Pentium 4, which isn´t used when mining and an ATI Radeon HD 5850?

Yes and no.
My slots are build so, that the only PCIe Slot has only 1 "Output". This Thing, were VGA and HDMI from the card shows out of the case, you know?
The 2 SlotCards have the second "Output" above the first Outpout. And there is no exit.

I´ve got another Windows PC with GUIMiner. It´s very cool.
In Germany it´s summer too. 205 MH/s, that´s 1.79€ (euro) per day. Not bad.

I have a very old mainboard with only 1 PCIe-Slot. And only a ATI Radeon HD 4350. The hash rate is very weak. 7.5MH/s.
Most of the good actual cards are 2 Slot-Cards. I can´t install them in my old shitty computer.
But I found a ATI Radeon HD 5770 Single Slot card. Have anyone installed this card?
