Re: Market is recovering, what steps are you taking?
by

Over the past weeks the market was dipping everyday that if you bought the week before, you was already at lost by the next week. This frustrating market cause may Investors to stop buying and waiting for the buttom. I just opened my binance app and noticed market is recovering, and I just wanted them know what the community at large is doing but I'll see the individual response just to pass time while we wait for full market recovery.

what are the decisions you're making now, will you wait for this new market development not to be a trap before investing again or you'll risked it and buy more coins?
I think Ill invest more today while it is now in bearish mode. While the price are down. Ill do some trading while I wait. I just hope the price will rise up soon

Re: Why altcoins are rampant in the market
by
Niobeh
on 26/07/2021, 00:26:30 UTC
When people saw the value of Bitcoin, they also created various altcoins. It will run away after harvesting and have no real value. Although these coins are not reliable, there will be some people who are willing to bet that altcoins can explode. Some people who make a profit from investing in Bitcoin will also choose to invest in altcoins.
In such a messy market, how should we invest in cryptocurrency? What should do with these altcoins?
You should stick more to Bitcoin and less on altcoins provided that altcoins nowaday will just die before they are being launch at their ICO.I think if you want to invest in Altcoins, just invest what you can lose

you can do some research about your pick of altcoins with their value on the market, their project, and potential growth. You could ask some good people here on this good forum site which solely discusses Bitcoin and its relevant topics. there are people here in this forum who are willing to help that's why we have this topic. Just be open-minded about everything.

Re: Is it worth investing in coins you believe in?
by
Niobeh
on 24/07/2021, 15:58:17 UTC
Coming from stocks, I deem crypto investing quite different, and I am still to get my complete understanding behind it. When talking about stocks, there are a lot of people and investors that tend to spend their money on businesses or shares they firmly believe in.
Talking about cryptos, I see a lot of people cashing out on short term for quick money, but the question is, is it worth playing it like that or better to consider the project behind the coin long-term? Regarding stocks for instance, Nvidia is a share I really do believe in and the sentiment itself is what keeps me holding the stock no matter the market. There was a huge dip in May, similar to what the crypto market is facing now, and although difficult to hold, I strongly believed in the long-term.

Regarding coins, I struggle to understand the approach people have. I am, by no means, expecting people to run down details on what they do, as we are not here to give financial advice, but a small explanation on how you address your investments: both short-term and long-term. Similarly to the stock mentioned above, I do have the same kind of interest for coin Oracle ($ORA), it’s quite new so I don’t expect many to know it. I really believe in the platform they want to create (just for context it’s a NFT market for ideas, so you just buy others’ ideas) and I would like to see their project created and support them long term, but how popular is the cashing out in cryptocurrencies? Everyone seems to be spamming to the moon to the moon, but most people seem to be selling.

If you fully trust that coin (provided that you thoroughly analyze it) then you should go with it all the way. We cannot predict what might happen in the future so you just have to be fully aware of various things like news or events that affect your investment so you will know when to pull out or hold, never let your emotions take over you, whether its short term or long term. Both of them could go sideways and it will affect all of us emotionally but control your feelings. Always expect the unexpected. Do have a backup plan.

Re: why some are still loosing money in crypto
by
Niobeh
on 24/07/2021, 11:11:28 UTC
if you have been in 2017 you experience ups and downs of the market, lots of gains but lots of losses in some, but even though you have been through those times, still you haven't learn to correct those mistakes, I think there are lots of things that changes your view regarding the market and this are the following:
  • You follow a persons advice through his social account post example is Elon musk
  • You still believe that a certain coin will come back from the dead even though you already knew its a scam
  • you just follow your instinct and never make single research
  • emotions still control you to decided
mostly I see people who are successful in crypto have spent lots of time, before they reach where they are, yes there are things that are associated with luck but don't just depend on it.
The biggest mistake most people make is a lack of patience and being greedy. they need to discipline themselves. pe patient when to buy and when to sell and do some research and I mean deep research. Be vigilant. you can listen to others' advice that why we have this Bitcoin Forum, to share thoughts and opinions about bitcoin and its future but in the end, it's you to decide and judge the real situation in the market.so do deep research and be patient always

Re: Number of altcoins keep increasing!
by
Niobeh
on 24/07/2021, 06:18:53 UTC
I see alot of altcoins and tokens been introduced into the market every day and I keep wondering if that is how this industry will keep growing.  The number of altcoins does not translate to increase in the over all market capitalization of the cryptocurrencies market and it that means that some of the coins we currently have in the market is not needed!
It cannot be stopped, anybody can start their own coins. It's very true that there are many useless coins being introduced now. As long as people are buying it you can't stop it. Some coins are being hyped so that people will buy them not knowing it's shit in the end. But there are coins that are beneficial and show promises and gains profits to those lucky who invest them. competitions between coins make them stable and develop stronger in the future. It is a free market afterall so we should see it as a norm in the future.

Re: Will The Sorrow of BTC Be The Pleasure of Altcoins?
by
Niobeh
on 24/07/2021, 00:52:42 UTC
The word "Alt-coin" should mean "Alternative Coins". And the word alternative in a layman's language should mean having an obvious option. Example, having an alternative plan means I can decide to use Plan B, most especially if plan A may not favour me at that time. Also, Coffee is an alternative to Tea, in this scenario, alternative is a choice and not a measure of importance. In a situation where an alternative is a choice, is therefore means that the Sorrow of one will be the pleasure of the alternative.

Relating this to cryptocurrency, if BTC who is the mother of Cryptocurrencies and who has gained extensive trust ceases to exist today, will altcoins flourish or will it make the people loose total interest in cryptocurrency.
If BTC crashes down, so will the altcoins. Because when I looked at the market, altcoins always follow Bitcoin. Bitcoin will always be greater and being crashed down is most likely never because they have the most trust.  Altcoins are not independent.

Re: Why the hate on binance exchange
by
Niobeh
on 23/07/2021, 15:43:44 UTC
Is there any tangible reason why binance exchange is been hunted? It seems they just hate success or what? Anyways no matter what they try CZ is a determined fellow, that's why binance made it this far, it's my best exchange and won't be changing any time soon
I don't see any reason Binance will be persecuted soon. Being one of the largest trading platforms at this time, it will be risky on their part if they cross the line which they didn't. They have identity verifications that are strong plus they are recognized by the various governments as long as they follow regulations. I'm sure many government agencies are monitoring their activities because they involved large quantities of financial assets. As long as they will maintain their trust, Binance will remain strong in the passing years.

Re: Is Elon Musk manipulating the market?
by
Niobeh
on 23/07/2021, 12:26:40 UTC
Every time Elon Musk talks positively about Dogecoin on Twitter, price per coin goes all the way to the moon. The contrary happens if he talks negatively about it. Most recently, Elon Musk criticized Bitcoin's high energy consumption stating that it's harmful to the environment. This caused Bitcoin's price to plunge all the way to $42k in an instant. It's up to this point, where Bitcoin hasn't recovered back to the $57k - $58k range.

It looks like people make decisions based on someone else's opinion instead of doing their own research about it. Most people follow Elon Musk closely, so anything he says (good or bad) can directly affect the whole crypto market in general. I believe Elon Musk's true intentions is to manipulate the market for his own financial benefit. Who knows if he bought more Bitcoin after prices went down because of his tweet?

What are your thoughts? Do you think Elon Musk is manipulating the crypto market? If not, why? Will crypto carry on as usual without Mr. Musk in play? Or is it too late? Your input will be greatly appreciated. Thank you. Smiley
Clearly, Elon is manipulating the market considering how big his assets are and how influential he is to persons who are A: under his relevant network in the crypto market or B: people who are new to the market and are lazy to do their own research and rely on big people like him for advice, well, in fact, they are fool into playing his strategies for his own good. But on the other hand, if those people have won through him, then I see no problem in a win-win situation. It's just a matter of our own judgement when it comes to trading, investing bitcoin and other coins connected.

Re: Alternative Block Chains : be safe!
by
Niobeh
on 23/07/2021, 08:52:52 UTC
I haven't seen anybody post about what would be my biggest worry if I were trying out alternative block chains. I realize this may be perceived as "Gavin is FUD'ding anything that isn't bitcoin!"  (FUD == Fear, Uncertainty and Doubt)  But I think some of you might be forgetting some basic computer security fundamentals in the excitement to be early adopters.

When I first heard about bitcoin, my questions were:

1) Can it possibly work (do the ideas for how it works make sense)?
2) Is it a scam?
3) If it is not a scam, could it open my computer up to viruses/trojans if I run it?

I answered those questions by:

1) Reading and understanding Satoshi's whitepaper.  Then thinking about it for a day or two and reading it again.
2) Finding out everything I could about the project.  I read every forum thread here (there were probably under a hundred threads back then) and read Satoshi's initial postings on the crypto mailing list.
3) Downloaded and skimmed the source code to see if it looked vulnerable to buffer overflow or other remotely exploitable attacks.

If I were going to experiment with an alternative block-chain, I'd go through the same process again. But I'm an old conservative fuddy-duddy.

If you want to take a risk on a brand-new alternative block-chain, I'd strongly suggest that you:

1) Run the software in a virtual machine or on a machine that doesn't contain anything valuable.
2) Don't invest more money or time than you can afford to lose.
3) Use a different passphrase at every exchange site.

Thank you Gavin, that was very enlightful. Its true that nowadays brand new alternatives are more risky because they are very numerous and easily fabricated. But the steps you've mentioned, it will be helpful to us newbies who are about to enter this venture

Re: Elon tweet again that he is supporting Crypto against Fiat

Here we go again after his tweet that contribute to the market dip he is at it again and now he is tweeting

Musk Tweets He Supports Crypto in Battle Against Fiat Currencies

Quote
The true battle is between fiat & crypto. On balance, I support the latter.
Do you think he is trying to rally the market after the dip and will this stop the continuous drop in the market.
his tweets are relevant and should give importance because he could affect the crypto market with how much crypto he and his conpanies worth.Because he is influencial, his decisions will affect investors of the  crypto market.

Re: Is Binomo scam?
by
Niobeh
on 23/07/2021, 02:02:57 UTC
Mate may I hear your voice if Binomo is scam or not?
For me they look like Binance especially for their personal Verification. But I want to hear your opinion about this.
I think Binomo is not a scam because their platform security is good thanks of their verification system, current reputations are good they easily found in social media advertisements, their website plateform is good with good response,But nonetheless, lets not put all our hopes up and hooked by hyped blogger advertisements because these days even platforms can be scams or hacks, so when we trade lets not put all our investments in one big pot. lets be frugal in investing with the amount that we are ready to lose. Binomo might not look like a scam now but who knows what happens in the future.

Re: Time to move to BTC
by
Niobeh
on 18/12/2018, 21:37:52 UTC
I'm not a fan of holding bitcoin for profits.
When bitcoin is up, alts are even more profitable.
When the market is down, USD is still better than BTC.
I personally bought Waves and Steem the past few weeks and I'm enjoying my Waves gains at the moment.
Gradually selling it for stablecoins - and not bitcoin.
Yes ,I believe btc is the perfect investment we like to involve because the fund is unlimited and,we can expect for higher returned of profit .We can having a good future due to its regulation in price.

Re: Can I earn 1 bitcoin in 1 year through bounties ??
by
Niobeh
on 17/12/2018, 22:02:14 UTC
My advice is find a new job and join in here with your favorite bounty. Your wish is to earn 1 BTC in year, I will tell you it's possible by your patience.
Nope, its hard to achieve that rewards in bounties because its often scams at all and the value still in hype series so be confident to find a good one and have good strategy as well to earn more you on that.
