Why has the url changed from Ethereum dark.net to ethereumdark.info? Also the twitter link has changed?

How can the community decide without access to the codebase?

After looking at this further it seems this is not a real coin at all. It is simply a generic token created on top of Ethereum. On their website they falsely linked to a github page showing the Bitcoin source code copy.

There is only one way to save this project. We would have to do a community rescue with a new chain. Then offer everyone with a ETHD token an equivalent token on the new chain. This would allow development on a new chain. At the moment there is nothing that can be developed because its just a generic token.

Is anyone interesting in doing a community rescue of this coin? From the 700 pages in the thread we can clearly see there is demand for the coin, it's a shame it was fake.

This idea had really good potential. To run completely anonymous smart contracts. It is a shame the project was a scam. It will be difficult to resurrect this project but I believe it is possible. First of all it seems the codebase the scammer used was just a clone of Bitcoin NOT Ethereum!

I propose a roadmap to fix this coin and idea and bring this project back to life.

1) We need a super hard fork to attach an EVM to this coin, perhaps we can use the rootstock codebase to allow smart contracts. Or it may be cleaner to just switch to Ethereum codebase. Maybe with a coin exchange

2) I propose the hard fork is delayed until sharding, plasma and Casper are live on Ethereum original. Then we can fork the coin and hard a good starting point

3) once we have a clean Ethereum layer, we can start thinking about the anonymity features

It’s going to be a tough job but I liked the idea, shame about the scam nature. The scammer could’ve at least used the Ethereum codebase to make a handover easier!
