Shameless shill for Loom

I can't tell you how much I love that Loom is KickStarting a collectible card game ("Zombie Battleground").

[Note: They didn't do an ICO, hence the need for a KickStart campaign].

Which alt coins are below $1 value that gonna turn in $10 next year.

Need your best suggestion
Byteball Bytes. Don't be fooled by the ~$725 price tag, that's the quote for GBYTES -- i.e. 1 billion bytes.

Re: Would you draw on a line of credit to buy altcoins?
by
NoiseBoy
on 21/12/2017, 02:34:17 UTC
I have a line of credit through my bank, 250k. The interest is 6%, settled monthly.  I've been considering drawing 100k to purchase more altcoins.  Bad idea or potentially genius?

Currently have 25k in the market with a 31k profit, timeline about 45 days. I put another 25k in yesterday.

And what coins would you buy?

Generally speaking that's a bad idea. More specifically, how long would it take you to pay back the money assuming your position was totally wiped out? And keep in mind, the risks don't exclusively include trading/price risks. Your wallet--or an exchange's wallet--could be hacked.

Where can I store ICONOMI BLX coins other than my account on their website? Can I send it to MyEhterWallet as a ERC20 token?

Yes, treat it like any other ERC-20 token.

Re: Why litecoin is going up so high?
by
NoiseBoy
on 12/12/2017, 20:35:02 UTC
Usually litecoin is lot more stable than any other coins. But in couple of days LTC has grown dramatically too high. What could be the possible reason behind it? Is it too high to invest in LTC now ?

1) Very low transfer fees mean it's being used as a currency for cross-exchange transfers.
2) Founder Charlie Lee has been on TV a lot
3) Coinbase/GDAX only offers BTC, ETH, and LTC. Coinbase is the primary fiat ramp for American investors, so they have to choose one of the three and LTC looks "Cheapest" to new investors.
4) It does everything bitcoin does, only 4X faster and two to three orders of magnitude cheaper.
5) Hype, momentum, and the madness of crowds.

I just managed to connect to both. I'm not sure meow changed. I also was able to get a local node (not sync'd) up and running.

Since originally posting this, the pending transactions pool has dropped from 24850 to 21121, so that helps at least.

Re: Litecoin - Any big development news
by

on 09/12/2017, 19:34:40 UTC
I think lite coin will continue upward price trend but slow and steadily as the track record says, major price movement is expected to happen after the halving.

The next LTC halving won't be until August of 2019...

As to the OP, I don't think there have been any changes in the fundamentals, this is just more madness of crowds.

Hey Folks, I know this was posted all the time, and sorry about that. But I'd like to hear from you what would you invest in if you had 50 dollars in your pocket ready to put into some crypto?

I would invest it in a haircut and some heavy weight high quality paper on which to print out copies of my resume.

Re: Bounty Signatures/campaign

Bounty signature/campaigns is an avenue for promoting the sale of ICO usually before its sale. Social media like Facebook, Twitter, blogs and the likes are used. Currently, as you can see, I'm participating in the Karma signature campaign. It's a good way to support good projects and get a little back in the process.

Just make sure you choose a good project.

Is anyone else having difficulty accessing both Ether Delta and MetaMask? Both of them just spin as they try, unsuccessfully to talk to the ethereum network.

I'm not having problems with any other external sites (though I haven't tried using any dAPPs). Anyone else running into this?

Fucking cats.

Re: Why calling other currencies altcoins ?
by
NoiseBoy
on 05/12/2017, 20:02:21 UTC
Currently all the new ICO are trying to develop platforms with different use case than Bitcoin, not similar at all, why people keep calling them altcoins although they are not alternative?

First there was bitcoin, and it was good. Then came a whole host of other coins. They were known as "altcoins" as in "alternative to bitcoin". The name stuck, and now anything that isn't bitcoin automatically gets called an altcoin. Some will debate whether that's changing--that certain blockchains are foundational, like Ethereum, Ripple, and Bitcoin Cash--but for bitcoin maximalists, everything that isn't bitcoin, regardless of whether it's a utility token, a blockchain, a security, or whatever, will be an "altcoin."

Re: What Do You Think About Lending Coin Platforms?
by
NoiseBoy
on 05/12/2017, 19:57:36 UTC
Lending coin platforms are like wildfire these days. They attract people like honeycomb attract bees.

Today, an ICO of one more lending coin has started.

Apoub coin, which is exactly the same copy of regalcoin, not only the working but also the website and the coin logo are almost exactly the same as regalcoin.

Regalcoin was quite successful, and it reached about 100$ from the 1$ ICO price.

Of all the Lending coin platforms, I have found Gold Reward Coin(GRX Coin) as much better than any other lending coin.

So are you guys going to participate in Apoub coin's ICO or will you avoid it?

Or you just don't believe in lending coin platforms?

First of all, no, I absolutely will not be participating in the ICO. Second, there is a market for coin lending and liquidity, but it's in such a premature state currently that I wouldn't risk it. You need a decentralized platform for it to be trustless. Current iterations potentially expose the user to exit scams.

Re: A newbie just killed Ethereum
by
NoiseBoy
on 05/12/2017, 19:54:51 UTC
I think that ETH is now more killing cats than anything else, since the etherium network is still hanging and can not do anything, so many transactions are happening on this site.

I can not understand for what reason there were such failures in the network? Could investing in cats cause this? Maybe there are other more serious problems?

The blockchain was already pretty close to max transactions most of the time, and the cats added something like 15% to the total, pushing things over the top and quickly creating a backlog in the waiting transaction pool and significantly pushing up the "fee market". So yes, cats caused this.
