Das wird schwierig, ich hatte bereits mal versucht per Mail mit Herrn Kobayashi Kontakt aufzunehmen. Leider habe ich nie eine Antwort bekommen.

1. Since they will be connected to your Alpha Server, will they allow to solo minning? ...
What? Connected to Alpha server, like a pool?
Imagine the Viper is hashing with 100 MHash internally @ 300 W, Alpha Server is telling me that i only hash with 25 MHash. Nice Profit for them... on my power cost! This is an absolute NO-GO! Where did you read this?
Think about the Alpha server is down or they broke! the investment made is gone!
Why not make a connection to cgminer like always, or as an option everyone can choose...

It seems that due to the successful QRK scam people are releasing more CPU coins. This puts gpu farms at a disadvantage and rewards all those Chinese Botnets.
None of these coins offer anything new from more established coins. You will never see a ETF listed on the NYSE/AMEX for these coins. Gox will never list these coins. BTC-E will never list these coins. You will forever be stuck trading these shit coins on shit exchanges. These coins are the cancer that is hurting cryptos.

Don't worry. Bitcoin fluctuates on a daily basis as well, and MegaCoin will be no different for the time being. While MEC experiences such growth it will need to fluctuate to find proper stability. It will eventually hit a nice stable rate of appreciation; most likely once we get it on a Fiat-based exchange rate. It is difficult to get perfect stability when something is valued against something that is in and of itself volatile in value.

Block Reward now halved, down to 25 MEC

No changes, just downloaded it, hadn't been working prior. Sent myself some coins and nothing in the unconfirmed or at the address.. Doesn't seem to be communicating with the network either though... Not sure!!

I agree with "onetime": We are now on a very different situation, that Bitcoin was before 2 years. Since there were no other coins around, where people can invest, it need some ammount of coins to trade with. BTW: Bitcoin would not be in this situation, when there where no suitable amounts of coins to trade with.

I'm tempted to move to Germany and start The MΣCCA in Berlin.. a futuristic cyberpunk bar where you pay with MΣC.
I could see a initial phase where you could pay with fiat or MΣC, but moving towards only MΣC and creating a culture of crypto.
Paper wallets would be awesome for something like that though. And of course an iOS/Android app.

Another thoug was security, how about using a custom file for the wallet. Would prevent maybe some wallet stealer apps from steal the wallet.
Like you rename the wallet.dat to mycash.jpg in a directory of choice. shouldnt be a problem to code that. not bomb secure, but a little enhancement. so you needn't use the standard directory and you can point to your own directory, maybe on a truecrypt drive or similar. (HELLO KIMOTO!)
MECACOIN would have this enhancements first (again)!!! Another reason why MEAGACOIN belongs on top of other coins

Still have over 600k MEC and no longer worried about holding my bag for 2+ years, shouldn't call early investors idiots now they are able to profit from this price and still retain a horde of MEC.
Now to sit from the sidelines and cheer on MEC, ready to buy buy buy buy.
