Once Ethereum is transferred to my LB account,  how long does it take to post?  Been waiting a couple hours now.

EDIT:  Took my Eth deposit about 5 hours to be credited to my account.

To all of you guys complaining about not getting in and the ICO was only for whales with unlimited gas...

--> I just got in with a Gas Limit of only 101937 ( I am quite new to this and didn't knew at that time, that you could manually set a higher limit via console in the ethereum wallet)

I assume that it's just not good to use myetherwallet for such high demanded ICO's.
I downloaded the Ethereum wallet and synced the whole Blockchain to my computer ( well to be fair that took me like 10 days of 24/7 syncing), but I think thats the main reason why I got in with such a low Gas Limit and others not?
Yeah that's what i've experienced too. But i'm not in the office so i have to use MyEtherWallet instead. Too bad i failed to join the ico.

You can always buy it on exchange when it comes on trading.

To those of you having trouble syncing the NEO wallet: I had the same problem.  I solved by killing every unnecessary program, in order to free up maximum resources.  Then let it run overnight, you will be good.  It is not at all an efficient wallet,  it needs work.  I don't run it unless I have to.

I can't believe they're asking for govt. ID's,  I haven't seen any other ICO go to that length.  I love commas.

I think it's weak marketing.  I have just been exploring their client,  and they already have a fully functional exchange built in.  I think they're a sleeper.

It's a very bad sign that the adress to send to is known beforehand. Either it was hacked,sold or not hidden properly , a big  security issue anyway. And it's done by somebody who says he doesn't like the project behause of poor  coding and too many bugs.

They also accepted transactions that were above the gas limit.

UMonetha? Is that the same to the MOnetha? Well if you are pissed of, can you tell me why? Monetha had the successful ico just now and if you aren't knowledgeable of their ICO, well then let me tell you this. Their ICO was finished just only for minutes.

Yes,  I am aware of this.  I was sitting at my keyboard with my Ether wallet open when it started.  I was unable to purchase.  One of the reasons for this is that they honored transactions that had more than the gas limit.  I believe they planned this all along so that their insider friends would be sure to get into the investment.  They never responded to questions regarding this.  There were many people like me,  little guys getting screwed over.  I haven't lost sleep over it,  but it was dishonest,  and I will remember them for it.  Otherwise,  my portfolio is doing great,  and I have little to complain about in life.

You sure seem awfully knowledgeable for a newbie with 5 posts.  I'm not saying you're wrong, but why are you hiding?  Not on anyone's side,  just curious.

Forum rank in not indicative of anything, I'm a lurker that does their due diligence on ICO's from time to time (you'll probably notice that from my post history). I'm also quite new to the crypto scene having only been looking at it since start of 2017 (not so much on these forums). There are a lot of other scam ICOs out there, most people mention these already (Substratum for one).

I had a quick look again and noticed something suspicious yet again...

Have a look at the top contribution for 0.051 Ether (https://etherscan.io/address/0x203ee4c8ad8337ef195021c802438cc5d0830a17) - someone explain why someone would contribute when the bonus was 25% (according to https://detectortoken.com/ico/) and then again when it was 10%?

I'm fairly convinced that they're contributing to their own ICO to make it seem they raised so much.

Anyhow, all that aside, it seems their token cap is 10 million, which by their conversion makes to be 14285.714286 ETH. Let's round that to 13000 ETH to account for bonuses and what not.

13000 ETH with today's rate is $4.94 million dollars, for what exactly? A script that takes some exchange data, performs some calculation and sends a response? At most it would be valued at $1000 to $5000 from any sensible developer. $5 million is just laughable really. Not blaming these guys, every ICO is doing and why not? Easiest money they'll make and they're set for a lifetime of luxury without having to step a foot to work ever again.

There are only a very small handful of ICOs needing anywhere near a million or more in funding, the majority is just buzz words to get your money. Why do you think DetectorToken is constantly posting with 'HUGE NEWS' and not mentioning what it is? You've guessed it. To get you to contribute more into their pockets.

Before you think I'm targeting DetectorToken, have a look at my post history for a token called TribeToken which were raising millions in the name of charity with a whitepaper that actually talked about their ICO structure exclusively.

Regarding additional donations from the same address, that could just be a person deciding they want to commit more funds.  Of course,  if there is a lot of this happening,  then that is fishy.  I need to learn how to research transactions for information.  You seem to have a good handle on it.

It takes people with a great deal of knowledge,  education,  and intellect to write an effective algorithm (pointing out the obvious probably).  From what I understand,  airlines pay tens of millions for algorithms that calculate the most efficient and serviceable schedules.  Five million sounds reasonable to me.

That being said,  there is no idea that is above criticism.  I need to learn how to do better due diligence,  as do a lot of our peers.  I sold my beloved Mustang in July when that mini crash happened.  Things have been going very well,  but I need to learn more.  I appreciate your insights.

I was looking at your Crowdsale, I'm suspecting foul activities here.

It appears as if you're contributing to your own ICO to make it look like you're getting contributions constantly, here's a few examples:

Your Crowdsale is has a lot suspicious transactions like these. I'll let people decide for themselves (note: I'm not accusing Detector of being scammers, I'm just saying that they're contributing to their own ICO to make it look like they've received more investment than they actually have to make it attractive for investors)

I also like this project a lot, I see a great future here.
I think the possibilities is endless if you really think about it.
I see this is both for advertising/event based applications, for games and for health apps.

I had a weird thought that it might be used to restrain the pace of delivery vehicles to the legal speed limit.  So Donatos or whoever would automatically place GEO's along the path the delivery person was taking, but they would only be valid if the delivery person was there at a certain time or later, and not after the delivery.  So if they drive too fast, they don't get the coin.  Kinda strange but I think it might actually work.

They already have such mechanisms.  Satellite linked devices monitor the movement of vehicles, and they govern (or limit) the top speed of vehicles.

I've also updated our landing page on http://geocoin.cash to give a sneak peak of the new MapBox interface, HTTPS will also be added shortly for the logins.  
We're also currently working on redoing our promotional website http://geo.money.

As we announced in our roadmap, our first focus will be migrating the UBQ blockchain, and then we will have more time to focus on our cool GEO items like the MapBox interface launch, mobile apps and added features.  This is an ongoing project and we will continue to develop this project and community into the future.

I really like this project. But the music in your youtubes  will alienate anyone over 25. You have enough challenges, don't shoot yourself in the foot.

I like it Smiley  But when I saw your concept, I immediately thought about retired people.  They have time to kill,  need exercise,  and it's a fun/exciting activity!  Treasure hunting, hell yeah!  A scarey close parallel would be those metal detector treasure hunters.  Although with this,  you don't need to spend 1000 dollars on equipment.  I think retired people are a great potential demographic for this project.  Remember,  as the years go by,  the percentage of older people who are comfortable with electronics will steadily increase.  Just a thought.  I'm glad you can take constructive criticism with a smile, I'm rooting for you guys!

PS  I was a little concerned that you demonstrated in the video walking while looking at the phone,  might be a potential liability issue,  I dunno.  You can go on Liveleak and watch videos of people who walked into ponds because they were looking at their phones and drowned.

this was the fastest ico i saw. in 2 mins it reached the hard cap and i couldnt join the ico.
well done

Another project who spits in the face of the crypto community in order to reap the most amount of insider gains as possible. They knew average joe would be left out, they made the rich including themselves richer. Great decentralized project.
i think you are right because no ICO can raised this much amount in just minutes like this

Yep, another average joe here.
Had 5 ETH waiting for the ico ready at MyETHWallet and had browsers open etc @ ico start. Registered at 16:00:01 and send my ETH at 16:01 max. Obv did not succeed Sad

And another Joe here. I'm starting to think they told the insiders to go heavy on the gas, and that they would ignore the gas limit. Was there a max number purchasable for each address? Or was there no limit? Really feels like a sham. I certainly won't be congratulating someone for spitting in my face.
