Re: Bet only on sports you know too well.

Obviously, you need to bet on games whose rules you are aware of. If you don’t know how a particular game is played, then how will you know who is winning at that point in time? Or are you someone who just bets according to the odds? This is the worst way to lose money. Now I am someone who doesn’t know how baseball games work; hence, I always avoid baseball games. It’s your hard-earned money, so be careful while placing the bets.

Re: Which is hard to learn, self control or winning long term?
by

You need to understand that winning long term isn’t in our hands. Winning completely depends on our luck, and sadly we cannot control the luck. No skill or strategy helps you to win the games. It’s just pure luck and nothing else. Now on the other hand, we can control ourselves from extreme gambling. So practically, if we see it, then definitely self-control is possible. One just needs to set gambling budgets and only gamble when there is the highest possibility of making money.

Re: Do you listen to your instinct before gambling?
by

That was before, I no longer listen to my instinct before gambling because the past results were unfavourable due to the fact that i gambled with instinct so I made up my mind never again will I gamble with instinct. But some gamblers do listen to their instincts before gambling that also is depending on the instinct.

Instinct only helps if you are doing casino gambling. But if you are someone who places sports bets, then it’s better to not bet with instincts. You have to do an analysis of the games on which you are placing the bet. Check the teams playing, their winning percentage at the venue, the playing conditions, and the recent form of the players. Then the summation of everything will lead to a good decision where to place the bet. I only bet by seeing the facts and past history, and this has helped me multiple times.

Re: Reputed casino ads on corn websites

As far as I know, people advertise where the visibility is high. Now sadly we live in such a society where the traffic to these types of sites is high. Hence, we see all types of advertisements here. Moreover, the gambling casinos don’t manually choose the sites where their ads will be displayed. They hire agencies, and the agencies do advertising on various other websites. I personally don’t have any problem with seeing ads at inappropriate sites.

Re: Anyone here had already paid taxes on winnings?

Do you mean general fiat gambling or crypto gambling? In my country, both have different sets of rules and taxes imposed on them. In my country, both fiat gambling and crypto gambling are illegal, hence I can tell you about crypto gambling taxes. If you withdraw any cryptos into your bank account, they impose tax on it. They don’t see generally from where you get the coins from. They directly impose a 30% tax on the total amount you withdraw. Whether you lose money or make money in crypto, they don’t care about it. They just straightaway put the taxes from the amount. I live in an Asian nation.

The problem for the Indian batting continues. Now Virat Kohli started to come on the forth number after two wickets down but still no improvement.
I see many are blaming Kohli and Rohit for their poor batting performances, but we need to also admit that except for Jaiswal and Nitish, no one has played any good knocks in the series. Now if you only consider the Sydney test match, then the pitch is bowler-friendly. The batsmen will be struggling to get runs here. If in the second innings India gives a target of 200 runs or close, then definitely they are in a good position to win the match. Only once was a team able to chase the 200 runs in the fourth innings at Sydney.

Re: What to read about gambling?
by
Nrcewker
on 04/01/2025, 04:02:14 UTC
I have been gambling for the past 8-9 years but never read any books regarding gambling. I don’t know about others, but yes, I believe practical knowledge is more important than theoretical knowledge when it comes to gambling. But yes, I read about other people’s experiences with gambling losses and learn from their mistakes. When you are gambling, the most important thing you need to understand is the game rules and house edge of the particular game. Calculate the risk involved and gamble in the budget. As a newbie, if these things are maintained, then definitely he can make a profit.

Re: Casino owner or game owner?
by

on 03/01/2025, 16:49:02 UTC
As someone who is exposed to gambling and the casino ecosystem, I like to know if you would prefer to be a game owner or provider who has his game on different casinos or you prefer to be a casino owner who has different games featured on your casino?
Which of them do you think there will be more profit in?

No one can give you a perfect answer for this, mate. You would expect a good answer only from the people who are actually into this profession or do this. From a neutral point of view, a casino owner will make more money. He will have a variety of options for the gamblers on his gambling site. He will always make some profit due to the house edge, irrespective of the game outcomes. On the other hand, a game provider only makes money when someone plays that particular game. But as I said, someone professional can give you a more prominent answer.

Re: Building PVP Crypto Casino, What Games Should I Develop?

You can introduce more variety of card games where the user will play against another user. PvP games generally catch more attention as the chances of winning here are higher, so you need to focus on the UI and graphics of the casino to deliver top notch user experience. Regarding the games, then street dice and some variety of card games can work. Many Asian countries play card games in day-to-day life. So implementing those with cryptos and gambling can really be a masterstroke. Also, if possible, keep the house edge low; this will fetch more gamblers.

They are basically big and rich people. For them, gambling is a recreational activity. They do it to keep themselves cool and to entertain themselves. For them, losing or winning doesn’t matter. But the factor of unpredictable outcomes is what gives a kick to them. These casinos provide extra bonuses to these wealthy and elderly rich people, and similarly, the business goes on. In rich countries this is very common, and these old men gamble regularly with alcohol in other hands.

Re: Zimbabwe Votes and Backs 10% Tax on Sports Betting Winnings

More importantly, government introduce tax on gambling profit but they don't have repayment package for wager loses  Grin hehehe

This is the main reason why many gamblers and traders hate to pay the taxes. In my country, there is a strict rule to pay 30% of the withdrawals as tax. No matter if you win or lose, if you made withdrawals at any exchange to your bank account, you are forced to pay the taxes. For this reason many gamblers and traders are using decentralized exchanges to cash out their money. If the tax was limited to 3-5%, then everyone would have shown support to pay the taxes, but anything above 10% is too much.

You need to understand, mate, that if it’s your own money, then you should be the one responsible for how to use it and where to use it. There are two main reasons for the above advice. First of all, it won’t make you unsatisfied if you don’t win the bet, and secondly, you will do better analysis of the game before placing the bet. It’s better to place a bet on self-predictions and lose money than to bet on other people’s predictions and lose money.

Re: Money laundering in crypto casino
by

on 31/12/2024, 16:44:10 UTC
I’m just curious what will be the fate of crypto casino once money laundering activity from mixer will jump to casino now that mixer will not be advertised here which means it has less exposure. Is there any possibility that crypto casino will be seized by the government just like what happened to mixers in case they failed to screen the laundering activity?

This is a very serious issue for all the gambling sites. This will be very challenging for the casinos, especially the ones that claim to be no-KYC casinos. I have seen many casinos have already started the adaptation. They have implemented wagering requirements if you just deposit money and do withdrawals. For now this rule is doing almost most of the jobs. The real legit users are sometimes facing problems due to this. As we sometimes use the casino’s wallet in case of emergency, now we are suffering with the wagering requirements.

Re: Responsible gambling practices.
by

The practices mentioned in the OP are really important. But I think if a gambler manages to control with the first three practices, then the fourth practice that is about alcohol and emotions won’t affect much. No one can really make money from gambling. Gambling is basically pure luck, and you can’t depend on it to earn money. Hence, only gamble for entertainment and not to earn cash. Now a wise man has said that you should split your work into smaller tasks and complete it one by one to finish the work. Similarly, in gambling, gamble in limits and targets. In this manner, tons of money will be saved.

People need to understand that casinos use clickbait in order to attract gamblers to the casinos, but as responsible gamblers, it’s our responsibility to read the terms and conditions before creating an account at the casino and depositing our hard-earned money in it. No matter what they have mentioned in the big promotional posts, there will be some tiny text written below it that says, “Terms and Conditions Apply.” Hence, don’t fall for these traps. If possible, always use reputable casinos to gamble.

I can understand your pain, OP, but you need to understand that the casino isn’t also not at fault in the current situation. It was your task to check the complete terms and conditions before depositing your hard-earned money. You should have inquired about the house edge on the games before depositing. If you didn’t want to read about the lengthy FAQs, then you could have asked the support team to clarify your doubts. Now the best thing that can be done is to ask them to return your original deposit money without any bonuses. But I am afraid that they will hardly fulfill your request.

Poker is a different genre of game. You cannot compare it with any other casino games directly. They differ in many aspects. The game mechanics and rules to win are different. It becomes sometimes hard to win the poker games. I don’t know what the people have mentioned here in the post and what they are trying to convince us of. Gambling games are all about luck. No skill can anyhow help to change the outcome. So I really don’t like these people who just write about making money from gambling. They are forgetting to mention that you don’t make money; rather, you risk money in gambling.
