I have no relation to Duff___Man, he is just a poster in this thread.

nextgencoin, thinks he may have found a correlation between our designs and Duff___Man's design, but as we explained in a previous post that our website makes use of a Bootstrap 3 based design-framework which is in use on many websites, Peercoin being one of them and incidentally Duff___Man's website which explains the similarity in design pattern as the sites use the same design framework.

Thanks for the clarification.

Is it also a coincidence that:
 - your website (numus.org) and Duff___Man's website (coinmart.co) are both hosted by the same provider (namecheap.com) with very similar IPs (162.213.248.249 vs 162.213.248.251)
 - both domains are registered with the same registrar (enom.com)?

hahaha its a scam man, its not just the website stuff, there is also another poster called Shimah who is a cheerleader on this thread acting like he doesn't have any relationship even though his name has been linked to the Developers previous project. Its nothing but pretty pictures and BS I guarantee it.

Well, let's see what Numus says. Namecheap.com and enom.com are popular providers/registrars (I think namecheap is a reseller of enom?), especially as namecheap takes BTC. But, the two websites hosted on IPs two apart is quite some coincidence.

As far as I understand Namecheap use enom.com for all domain registration through them, since they are the only major webhosts to accept BTC we decided to use them and I'm assuming that hosting purchased with BTC make use of seperate servers which may explain why the IP's are similar considering that our landing page for our website does not run on a dedicated server.

UPDATE

Due to the relatively small number of investors, which are currently fewer than 20, we've decided to extend the IPO for a further 3 weeks, all investors investing after this period of time will form part of Stage 2 and all prior investors will form part of Stage 1. We understand that Stage 1 investors have put more faith in us and as a result they will receive a 40% greater ROI than investors in Stage 2.

During the course of that time we shall release various bits of our project to the project. Some of these include a new concept to visualize data on the Numus blockchain and a web-wallet concept which we shall release to the public in due time.

Stage 2 of the IPO will now end on May 10 2014, with initial distribution starting on May 15 2014.

We have extended the IPO for the sole reason that initial investors, of which currently there a very few, could crash the market whenever they please as the current distribution would place too much NMS in the hands of a small few.

Numus, please confirm your relationship with Duff___Man.

E.g. same person / close business relationship / don't know the guy.

I have no relation to Duff___Man, he is just a poster in this thread.

Here's a quote from the previous post.

1) Our website makes use of a Bootstrap 3 based design framework called Flat UI Pro made by Designmodo : http://designmodo.com/flat/
You may notice this from other websites such as Peercoin's website : http://peercoin.net/ which also makes use of this design framework for their site. Many sites make use of this design framework which is why you may notice a similarity in style between say Numus' website and Peercoin's website.

Qora IPO is over since two days

You try to promote your Cunilingus

Is the Qora IPO over?

Yes, it's closed.
Is there any way to still invest in it?

If investment is made by escrow, what are the cancellation/withdrawal terms for investors? Assuming it is not a blatant scam (i.e. nothing delivered), until what point can we potentially say "we're out" and ask Anon136 for funds to be returned?

If you are not satisfied with the completed product, i.e. if we don't live up to your expectations you may ask for a return from Anon136. Take note though that there is no rule stating that you must keep your funds until whatever point, if your a dissatisfied for any reason or if you simply need to use the funds you put in escrow for whatever reason you can always ask Anon136 for a refund.

I have a question on your ipo progress. You know bitcoin-qt.exe cannot set my btc address when I send money. If i have more than 1 btc address and every btc address has some btc. Before i send btc to your address. I dont know which address is my ipo address.
If you don't know which Bitcoin Address you're sending from then you'll have to provide us with your transaction ID in this thread. Once we've verified the transaction then we shall PM you, your Investor ID and Key.
I think you should improve your ipo progress on your website if you can do.

At the same time.  Your Ipo progess design is not very safe. The investor and your team know the ID and Key. If ID and key is stolen. We cannot distinguish whose responsibility it is. Do you think so?
The purpose of our web-based IPO process was to allow automatic investments for the IPO. The Investor ID and Keys are stored securely on a remote server and our server matches the Investor Key to the transaction ID in the investment process. The match between the Key and the ID is itself stored on a separate server.  There is a small chance of the server being hacked, which is present with all web applications.

In the event where the Investor ID and correlating Keys are compromised we have several fallback options.

1) If the Investor ID and Keys are compromised we will fall back to the match between the Investor Key and the transaction ID of the investment to verify the investor.

2) If both the Investor ID, Keys and transaction ID of the investment are compromised we will manually audit the verification and use data from our server logs or other various factors, such as :
       - IP Addresses
       - Time of Investment
       - Bitcointalk Account (if invested through the thread)

I'm sorry to break this to everyone that has already sent bitcoin to Numus but I am going to prove to you that this is a scam!

1.I looked though the guy above Duff-Man's posts, he has been involved in various website designs. He also started a thread the same time as this thread to discuss Numus giving lots of info but claiming he was nothing to do with the project but thought it was interesting. He was aggressive when Numus was criticized or compared to NXT.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=547545.0

2. Its seems he is a website designer who has worked on various projects that are legit like digital coins but he also has worked on a project with ShimalH who is also on this thread cheering Nummus along and acting like he knows nothing. I encourage people to look through Duff-Mans posts and realize he uses almost the same style and logos on his work. I could give loads of links but here's just one example.

a. look for round logo below 'quick':     http://numus.org/#about

b. Look for same on logo on his work here:    https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=369985.msg3952297#msg3952297

So above coinmarket project seemed if you look at the thread after trying to get investors dropped off the map Dec 2013.

3. So I conclude Duff-Man working with ShimalH (real or imaginary) has created nothing more than a well made website. The Whitepaper has no real tech knowledge and is just a bunch of promises and nice graphics. So I'm afraid this really is a scam, a quite elaborate one but a scam all the same. Even if the coin actually exists the owner is clearly a lying and deceptive guy with a history of well presented fake IPO's and is nothing more than a good website designer who probably is now wishing he has used some more variety in his logos and style, hehehe

I take Bitcoins for anyone who was going to invest and I have saved them some money and me being so awesome and all.

1CYMSVYXZP3c1RS2vC5RqjZR6GY1wcH4VU

Yours Sincerely Sherlock Holmes.

I am not sure whether you are referring to Numus as a scam. If you are referring that Numus is a scam, well then we'd like to clear some things up for you with reference to your post.

2) We have made use of a popular voice-over artist named Brad Ziffer for the voice over in our video.  He has done many recordings for other introductory videos and commercials and specializes in live script reading. This means he is able to sync his voice with checkpoints on video better than most voice-over artists, which in turn means he can read lines from the script provided to him at key points in a video all while maintaining a flowing rhythm to the voice-over. This is why you may have heard his voice elsewhere on other introductory videos. (We originally wanted to use Chris Rice (www.ricevoice.com) from the WeUseCoins.com Bitcoin introductory video but he was booked)

Our whitepaper does provide some technical insight into Numus' features. We haven't gone into great detail simply as most readers of the whitepaper will want a simplified version of the inner workings of our features. Two of our philosophies at Numus are accessibility and simplicity, we want every reader of our whitepaper to be able to understand what we are trying to explain which is why it has been written the way which we did.

It's good to see criticism though, it allows us to show you that we are indeed not a scam.

do i understand correctly?:
premine is exactly 2.5% and that goes 100% to ipo?
the other 97.5% are available for mining?
Is this the distributionmodel or did i miss something?

edit: also you shouldn't be too concerned about the lotto and legality because if any government comes up and wants to ban it for that reason (i doubt they will) you can just integrate something that blocks the lotto for ip's from those states that don't like the lotto and everybody should be happy again.
Yes, the premine is exactly 2.5% of the 1 Billion NMS that will be minted and that goes fully to the IPO.

The other 97.5% is the remaining amount which can be minted. As the proof-of-work minting decreases due to block halving as a result of the increased network hashrate the proof-of-stake minting will become a bigger factor in determining the supply. The supply will continue to increase up until the 1 Billion NMS hard cap.

Really excited about this!

Numus, is it possible to consider changing the algorithm? Edgecoin recently decided to change their algorithm to X11 - that seems to be the one that everyone wants now (more than Scrypt-Jane).
X11 currently does not currently have a wide variety of mining software supporting the algorithm to make it accessible to most. The mining software that are currently available seem to be inefficient and do not support NVIDIA GPU's. Although some may argue that most miners make use of AMD cards rather than NVIDIA, this goes against Numus' philosophy of accessibility. We want everyone regardless of hardware constraints to mine/make use of Numus right from the start.

We shall not invest in another IPO coin, simply due to the fact we have no guarantee that the individual who is announcing the coin will keep the funds safely and not take the funds that have been raised and run away with them.

FTFY

As we have already mentioned a number of times in this thread. Anon136, an escrow agent who has provided escrow for other IPO's such as EdgeCoin and exoCoin is providing optional escrow for Numus' IPO
