brammien, we only control our own funds. We cannot possibly exert control over millions of dollars. It is a decentralized currency. we are an investment group. We control our funds which we are currently using to help everyone as much as possible. You have caused us to rethink the use of the term foundation because it is clearly causing a lot of issues. We are an investment group. That is all. I think some people have been led astray as to what we can and cannot do.

Okay, so if you are an investment group, then will the investment group be tweeting, facebook, social media under the official blackcoin, or under another name? If your just an investment group, then that's fine, but should not be overlapping of the official pages, with investment groups pages. Like we as investment group support or don't support something is okay, but we as blackcoin foundation don't is then shown as official.

I'm okay personally with investment group, but not under official title representing the coin. If this group does well and helps coin, great. If not, then it's only investment group and not under tile of anything else. I just believe there should not be conflicting interest. I'd hope Soekip is NOT part of this group, since he's now representing the coin as figurehead. That would be huge conflict of interest.

Hum...why is an investment group seeking donations from the community?

You're an investor. Why are you seeking donations from the community?

An investment group is a group of investors. It's what you are, only in plural.

I imagine in this case, the investment group came up with an idea that required funding. They figured they could bear half of the cost themselves and then went to the community to seek donations from those who agree that the idea is worth investing in.

I thought you said you would start fresh this week and stop with the attacks?

Re: [POLL] Which altcoin should replace Auroracoin in the ALTDEX?
by

For the purpose of having an index it's clearly Blackcoin that should be added.

Volatile or not, doesn't matter. Blackcoin is top 10 in market cap and has been top 5 in traded volume. Blackcoin is, compared to the other coins, relevant in an index since it is such a large part of the market that you're trying to index.

Quark may very well be older and more stable, but it's a third of the market cap and roughly a hundredth of the traded volume compared to blackcoin which makes it less relevant to add to the index.

If what you're trying to do is just to promote "good" coins, then don't have a poll. Just pick the one you're holding most of.

40k today ?  Wink

...or 50k ?  Cool

How about we have a slow linear growth with no more sheep panicking and idiots dumping and a happy easter to everybody around?

+1

I want 100% over a week, 500% over the next month rather than 100% today and crash tonight..

Lets keep it slow and steady. Pace ourselves, bring longevity and lasting value to the coin, establishing it as one of the top coins. You've got a great idea? A new service? People to tell about the wonders of blackcoin? Save it for tomorrow. Lets pace this thing for a marathon rather than a sprint.

It's not about getting to $1, it's about getting to $1 AND staying there.

It's also becoming increasingly apparent that Blackcoins value seems to be mostly inversely correlated to just about every other coins value.

This is FANTASTIC, as it seems the popular opinion is that blackcoin is "unique" in that it is not attached to the other cryptos.

I love this slower steady climb we're seeing right now.

Break-neck speeds is scary. Fast action has fast reactions, slow and steady over time is what would make this shine. Smiley

Lets keep growing, we're "starting" in the top 10 by market cap so everything is looking absolutely awesome!

Crap.

I sold some at around 15k, thinking I'd pick some up on the recoil for 12 or so... I'm starting to think that won't happen.

People!

Please remember that people offloading BC is NOT a bad thing.

If someone bought at 9k and is now selling at 13k to bring home some profit that's just FINE.

Because it means someone else bought in at 13k and won't likely be selling if it rebounds to 10k.

Turnover/volume is massively important so we should all just be glad for the trades people are doing. Smiley

It's way better to have a coin that's beeing traded rather than everyone just holding on to their investments haping to "go to the moon".

I get the same "failed to unpack" problem with RC10d as I did with RC10c.

There has to be a sollution for this, other than mailing it to either of you guys and loosing out on days or weeks of mining.

Those of us experiencing this problem, were we supplied flawed controllers from AsiaBTC?

What exactly is it you guys fix if we were to send the controller to you? Can it really not be fixed in any other way?

This is starting to become a big problem with new versions looking better. This needs to be adressed.

Regarding translating the press release to other languages to increase the visibility and value of the promotion.

Am I the only one thinking it's a good idea? Or is it already translated?

Again, I could translate it to Swedish and push it to relevant outlets at the release time. I can't see any reason why a wider spread of the press release would be bad?

depends, do you have access to Swedish financial sites? I can't see iconic needing help with translations on anything listed on bloomberg or yahoo financal

I don't have any connections or inside access, no. But I can contact all of the relevant Swedish financial sites and papers. The biggest one has been running at least a couple of articles on cryptos per week. Last week they wrote about auroracoin. Like many other news outlets they tend to sometimes report press releases more or less by citing large parts of them. Providing a translated press release would increase odds of them running it.

Since I'm offering to do it, I don't see how it doesn't come down to a question wether or not it adds or subtracts value. And I can't see how it would be harmfull to involve Swedish financial media as well.

Has the press release been translated to any other languages?

I could translate it to Swedish and send it out to the largest economic papers and websites. Recently they have been reporting quite a lot about bitcoin and other cryptos so I think there's a good chance they'd make something if they got this press release.

Ok I just did an upgrade without first installing the "V2 bin"

I simply clicked on update firmware and chose "LAG3355_12-RC10c.bin" and clicked "upload"

That worked like a treat....... Roll Eyes

Good for you.

Doesn't work for me sadly. :/ I get the "Failed to unpack" no matter which way I try it.

I updated to the first version of v3 and haven't been able to apply any of the updates since.

I just tried upgrade v1 and upgrade v2 and the rc10c. All of them give me the "failed to unpack".

I just tried upgrading from v1 and v2 and it works perfectly fine, so not sure why it does that.

I am already on v3. But I want to upgrade to rc10c. I keep getting failed to unpack with all three bins provided in main post.

i have installed it on all my controllers and works fine for about 12 hours now

Same here, been running all of my miners at 850 and it looks very stable.

Going to start playing around with the individual frequencies later today. See if I can get more out of them.

One seems to be a bit slower than the others. Anyone got suggestions? Should I increase or decrease frequency for it?

did you update your firmware?

I have not. I get an error when trying to load it that says something about it can't be unpacked. Saw from the other thread that there are more people who have the same problem.

Been running my miners at 850 for some hours now and it looks very stable. Haven't had this stability at all before, usually went 40-50 mins before restarting them all.

It says

Quote
After registering your rig on the website, you will be asked to add a pool to your miner software, for example:

cgminer --scrypt -o http://eu.betarigs.com:3333 -u -p x -o -u -p ...

That will put the Betarigs "pool" in first priority position, and your usual pool in second position. So:

Your rig is not rented: The Betarigs "pool" is inactive and your miner mine your usual pool.
Your rig is rented: The Betarigs "pool" becomes active and your miner mine it. Behind the scenes, Betarigs will redirect the miner to the pool chosen by the renter.

So I have to set up cgminer on my computer and let my computer run -  doesnt that actually mean I am mining myself!?

This is if you want to sell your own mining capacity at betarigs, as a seller.

Working fine for me.

Could you clarify how the general frequency vs. individual frequency works?

If I have general freq 850, can I adjust individually both higher and lower? Only the ones that haven't got a individual freq set gets the general?
