Re: much money in the foodball and in general in life is a ruin

When you play in football money is very important. Some people I mean players are not looking to win awards rather they are looking to have more money and that is fine.  I do not think that we should judge anyone by what club did decide to move to need our should we try to guess them motivation for it because we need the wrong.  What I can say is that we should enjoy the game of football and allow the players to do the same too. It's their choice.
Not only players carries this money mindedness, clubs do the same thing. I don't blame most players because money is important, we can't deny the fact that things are falling apart, both increase in taxes and expenses, and football also have a limited age when you can no longer play again, what you've earned your years playing and getting paid is what will cover through out the other years except for those who would attempt another part.

Re: "Is Bitcoin the ultimate savings tool?"
by
Obim34

Profits could be savings. Meaning, lets say that you earn dollars, and you put some aside, you have 1000 dollars today, then dollar loses 10% value, but you have 1100 dollars worth, that means, you didn't actually profited, but you saved, and kept the store of value, and that means, you look like you are in the green, but in reality not.
It is less necessary to save in Bitcoin than to invest. Saying saving is more like a confused way of saying investment when we are describing assets that yield profits. Savings should be some where that can easily be pulled out at any time unlike in Bitcoin where you will want to withdraw only during a bullish season. I rather not save under any volatile asset, especially when i know i will need the money unexpectedly.

You also made a valid point, but in my own sense, that's the way i take a look at Bitcoin.

Both you and @Derekfunds are correct. Just like the Pizza guy Laszlo Hanyecz, Gavin Andresen wanted Bitcoin to become popular and succeed. But they did that because it was cheap. Please you fit show me the person wey fit give 5BTC to people for free. I go just lap the person unit ASAP tell am my life story. Baba you know say 5BTC na $596,659.73, I doubt if anybody for this forum go do am now.
What is also crazy is that most of us receiving signature payment in Bitcoin, for accumulated 3 months of summing up payments, in the future calculatively what we see as normal right now will be worth a large fortune that we recall about how we traded them for fiat instead of keeping them all. This regret in Bitcoin will not come to an end, there is always another ATH after another, it doesn't stop, lessons from a thread by The Cryptovator that says Don't Cap Bitcoin: The Game Never Ends.

Re: Portuguese First League - Liga Portugal 2025/26
by

Sporting Lisbon would easily get past the lose of Gyokeres it's not going to affect them much cause they're not a team that depends too much on a striker to win games moreover the huge fees recovered from the sale of Gyokeres is enough to get them two fast rising attackers then train them into becoming the new Gyokeres for the team.
In the last five years Sporting has won the Portuguese League, for the past two season Sporting won the league. This time around, based on my observation it won't be Sporting winning the next title. I want to give Benfica a good predicted season ahead, losing a striker and repairing without him in a squad is something that will affect them. You can't have a perfect goal scoring team without a striker, don't forget also that Gyokeres plays together with the team before advancing, him leaving is creating a deep space for someone else to fill, until they get someone compatible, there will be set backs in their performance.

Re: The "Lottery Ticket" Mentality
by
Obim34
on 24/07/2025, 18:42:14 UTC
Staying positive during gambling is normal but until the ticket is successful don't see it as a life changing moment, gambling isn't a source to project life changing amounts, whenever it happens see it as your luck that only happens to a few persons.

Taking risk on huge odds is something i do, but it comes with a lesser stake. I don't hope to win millions on it and i don't stake on huge parlay, betting on underdogs usually comes in a single bet, in my case i don't expect winning a life changing amount from betting on underdogs.

He'll have to ask the card co what happened. African card holders buy online things every day they don't get blocked so his domain purchase shouldn't have been rejected. He should ask the card co why they didn't let him buy the domain.
He didn't give detailed explanations on the process he took trying to buy the domain and the kind of card he used or which provider he was dealing with, but we get the message he was trying to pass. Bitcoin extended the opportunity of doing business across international boarders without interference from government or requesting any layer of verification causing limitations. For any cross country deal with Bitcoin payment option, it is considered the best selective option.

Re: When gambling what do you measure? Luck or chances?
by
Obim34
on 23/07/2025, 14:28:34 UTC
I enjoy betting on important events from major leagues, i barely risk on events with less competitions like we see in friendlies and pre season matches because the chances of anything happing is always low.

During sports betting, i don't majorly follow betting on smaller odds, implication of skill is critical with varieties of options based on odds. I rather risk a high amount on a moderate odd than risk it in a smaller one that may still end up losing. Chance should be based on your analysis, plus luck at the end.

Re: What is the cost of your mistakes?
by

In my case, when I started sports betting, I didn't know how to analyze each game, so I bet on the team with the lowest odds, but I still lost bets.
I went through this phase also at the beginning of my gambling journey, the outcome wasn't fair for the longest time i used that pattern instead of analyzing my bet. I remembered that i made 3-5 tickets mostly during mid night games (most of the teams playing i had no idea about) just me betting on the lowest odds hoping to wake by dawn to a cashout which was the very first thing i do after waken up. I did it in most sports betting, including Basket Ball and Ice Hockey, it was only in hockey i was able to make a good profits but it wasn't profited to the amount I've spent trying my luck.

Most people generally think of Bitcoin as an "investment for profit". Again
Yes that is what Bitcoin is, there are different value that Bitcoin holds, investment, store of value or currency for payment. Among all the value accompanying Bitcoin, higher percentage of people are interested in making profits from Bitcoin, once it becomes about the profits it is no longer savings, savings are meant to be stacked somewhere with less risk (volatility). If not that Bitcoin generates profits, i bet there will be less people interested in Bitcoin.

Re: Which is more regrettable?
by
Obim34
on 22/07/2025, 22:06:40 UTC
To me there is nothing to regret about because gambling is totally a game of luck so  your winning will not be tired to the numbers because whether you change number or not when it your day you're definitely going to win your ability to see gambling as it is , is very important because it will help you not to kill yourself about gambling too much
To be strictly fair, there is a high tendency of catching regret. Changing up the set you bet regularly afterwards that number won, tell me you won't question yourself?

Having regret in gambling isn't a bad habit for me, what action you take during regretful moment is what should be looked into. Not going far into lottery, just the way we have Bitcoin raffle in the forum, i basically have my favorite number i choose once its vacant, if someday i don't pick the number while meeting it vacant only for the number to come up as a winner, i will instantly become troubled for not picking that particular number.

Why not just post them at once instead of posting just 5? Or maybe you want to post just 5.

There is BIP443, but they are not up to 443 in total. You can check the and count them on GitHub: https://github.com/bitcoin/bips

I think they are not yet more than 190 BIPs in total.
I can post all if i exclude the drafted BIPs, the ones rejected and those withdrawn, leaving only the finalized BIP.

Most of the BIP were not finalized, they all made up the list.

BIP- Bitcoin Improvement Proposal

While we mostly hear about common BIP like the BIP 32, BIP 39, BIP 44, , BIP  84, BIP 86,  we can in lay terms refer BIP to be upgrades in Bitcoin network.

Even the founder Satoshi wasn't part of the first BIP that makes Bitcoin an open source, anyone is free to attempt improvement in the network and tender it formally to Bitcoin devs, where it will be reviewed either accepted or rejected.

We have three categories of BIP which all fall under

Standard Track BIP - BIP under this category pass changes in the blockchain protocol like transactions and consensus mechanism.

Information BIP - To raise awareness and sharing of updates concerning Bitcoin proposals.

Process BIP - Guide on how proposals should be followed.

Where to find Bitcoin BIP progress

Common BIP and what they do

Currently we are upto 443 Bitcoin Improvement Proposals and still counting.

BIP|
What they do
|
BIP 32|Creates a master key that compounds plenty wallet address|
BIP 39|Allows a mnemonic setup (seed phrase) in a simple language for easy recall |
BIP 44|Multi Crypto friendly - Can have different crypto address using the same seed phrase as Bitcoin address|
BIP 84|Initiated path for Native Segwit - Comes with cheaper fees and faster transactions|
BIP 341:342:343|Initiated path for Taproot - Validation - Set up|

Re: Let discuss our experiences in Bitcointalk and in cryptocurrency

Cryptocurrency - Had my first cryptocurrency relationship that got me slandered, i took my lessons from there not repeating for the second time.

Bitcointalk - The reason i can confidently speak about Bitcoin when among peers who knows Bitcoin as well, from a clueless brainwashed crypto investor that lost what took me months off my savings to having a Bitcoin portfolio with accumulated profits and no losses. Bitcointalk did give each one of us earning opportunities, paid in Bitcoin, it's enough experience to catch from the forum.

Re: Trying to replace Bitcoin in the long run in life.
by
Obim34
on 22/07/2025, 16:17:57 UTC
Bitcoin is not an investment, Bitcoin is savings.
OMG... If you dare follow this pattern and invest, you will make the worse investor.

Pardon my channel of words, if only you understand investment and what saving means, then you first have to disapprove your statement. People don't save their money in assets that are highly volatile, savings are done somewhere with good stability while investment are meant to carry and withstand risk. Bitcoin is populated by investors, the government choose to invest, large firms choose to invest, individuals choose to invest because we expect to make profits from our capital.
