Re: Do you think ICO is a good way to raise money?
by
ObroQ
on 26/02/2019, 10:19:48 UTC
Hello , What do you think about ICO as a way of raising money in the next years? .Specially after all the scam projects we have seen before, like last time  the team of a project called elementh(https://icobench.com/ico/elementh) claimed that they have to quit the project since they did not have enough resources eventhough they raised about 8M USD , and after ICO no single step forward the development of product has been achieved.
They wanna return the money to investors as btc and eth after all this bull market (btc was about 10K usd ).

ICO's were a good way of raising money 1-2 years back. Now with the new flux of scammers there is not that many people that invest in ico's anymore. Even a good and legit project is going to have difficulties in rasing money because of the scam projects.

Re: Everyone agrees that bitcoin rise will help the all crypto currencies to rise?
by
ObroQ
on 26/02/2019, 06:31:53 UTC
From yesterday the price of bitcoin got increased upto $400 due to the speculation of ETF approval by SEC which made all the other crypto currencies to bump with the same level of bitcoin so which shows that if bitcoin prices recover all the crypto currencies will be able to recover.

Do you agree that?

I do agree, yes. Since bitcoin is the main crypto it can influence other crypto too. Most of the time when bitcoin raises the market follows the same trend.

Re: Will ETH cross $200 this week?
by

on 25/02/2019, 13:43:44 UTC
Hello everyone as we are witnessing a spike in the value of Ethereum which was considered as most stable crypto same-time last year but circumstances changed drastically as ETH drop down to the lowest which one could ever imagine but off late we have see rise in it's value so will this be a game changer or one more burst of bubble ?

I don't think that ETH will rise this week to the 200$ price you suggested. it's more likely in the upcoming months but i hope the market will contradict me Wink
The market will recover slow and steady but you need to be patient.

Re: What do you do when your coin spikes?
by
ObroQ
on 25/02/2019, 11:00:07 UTC
I'm just looking for the opinions of others really, there's no right or wrong answer to this question.
What do you do when a coin you're holding suddenly jumps up by like 30% or whatever? do you try to sell at the peak of that spike and buy them back once it's gone back down again? or do you just keep on hodling?

I mostly follow my instincts and try to "Predict" what's gonna happen next but that does not always work. Usually yes, i sell at peak and buy back at low but that was not always the case Smiley). You just have to know that any choice you make it's for your own interests and don't regret after selling/hodling.

Re: Do you use diversification?
by
ObroQ
on 25/02/2019, 06:52:29 UTC
For example, you have some altcoin (in my case it's Metaverse ETP) and you expect it to grow. But in a weak market, this altcoin behaves like bull and you have the opportunity now to sell it and buy an asset that looks weak in the market (for example Qash, Tierion, Nem, Odyssey or Republic Protocol) in order to get the greatest possible profit. Or leave a strong asset and wait for its further growth. What do you think about this?

This can depend on your trading strategy. But overall, yes, you should try to have a diverse portofolio in order to increase your success chances.

Re: Bull run for all?
by

Bull run ! Bull run!!
Please I care to know if the bull run we are expecting is actually for all altcoin,is it also including those altcoin with another wallet too.

When the bull run starts it affects the whole market. Some coins have higher growth potential than others but every coin will be affected by the bull run.

Re: Buy on ICO or buy after being exchanged?
by
ObroQ
on 20/02/2019, 07:06:49 UTC
I see and observe recently that many ICOs are below the ICO price when they touch the exchange. Do you think it's a smart step to wait for an exchange and buy the tokens you want?

If you care about the price and not the product, then yes, most of the times, after ico, when the token hits exchange it's price goes down. If you care about the product, then it should not matter when you buy it.

Re: Is the large variety of Altcoins hurting the market?
by
ObroQ
on 19/02/2019, 06:47:35 UTC
You could make the argument that if all of the capital in crypto only had to be spread across 50 coins that that would make each of those coins extremely more valuable.  In light of that thought, is the huge variety of Altcoins ultimately a good or bad thing for crypto?

It's a good thing for diversity but it's not a good thing because the market becomes saturated with coins that people don't really use. As some people in this thread sayed, the next bull run will show what coins worth keeping and what not.

Re: Why Bounty Hunters Hate KYC !!!
by
ObroQ
on 18/02/2019, 06:49:15 UTC
What i know,  KYC means Know Your Customer ! Bounty hunters are there to Support ICO Project to spread the word about the project .. BUT as soon as the Project manager mention KYC then many  Hunter run away  ! Why? Is it  because  people  don't want review their identity  for security  reason  or people  are joining campaign  with bot software ..

It's not about hating, it's about providing your personal information to some strangers. Providing your personal information to strangers can have major consequences and most of the time the risks of doing kyc outvalues the actual payment you receive.

Re: Bitcoin is the most nonsensical invention in human history
by
ObroQ
on 11/02/2019, 12:24:33 UTC
Let's compare this to fiat currencies because their misconception is the main reason why people fail to realize that by owning Bitcoin they own nothing. So, let's assume that you traded your car for 10,000 dollars. Now, the question is what do you own after such transaction? Do you own nothing or do you own something? Well, you own something. Namely, your own debt certificates. These certificates are either digital or paper. If you received banknotes you become the owner of paper debt certificates. If you received numerical value on your bank account you become the owner of digital debt certificates. With these certificates you are entitled to goods, services or property of borrowers. Let's explain how this ownership is utilized in practice.

^ FAIL
when you sell a car for FIAT. you dont own FIAT. you hold FIAT. but the FIAT is not yours.
its under licence by a government. they can take it from you without notice. they can freeze accounts they can tax it. they can do what they like, because its theirs.

with bitcoin you own the private key that secures that you have full ownership control of the bitcoin linked to the private key

i dare you to have a bitcoin private key and a bank account. and truly ask yourself. who controls what
go on try to move your fiat out of an ATM for more than $500 amount.

try spending a substantial amount ($10k) fiat via a bank account without the bank asking questions.
you do not own FIAT. they are just letting you handle it under their licence terms

try crossing a state/country border with $10k see how much FIAT you get to own without question

as for saying bitcoin is a nothing value.

bitcoin has a cost value.
im not talking about speculative price of the volatile market. im talking about the underlying value. the cost of its creation.

PoS coins for instance have no underlying value. as the underlying cost is zero. but bitcoin does have a underlying value.
you might wanna research that.

FIAT (not talking about market rate of loaves it would buy or rate compared to other currencies on forex) fiats underlying value is of the cost in its creation too. which is things like yes the debt (mortgage/credit agreement) that created the promissory note. but also the minimum wage laws that value a $7.50 as being an hours worth of sweat labour

.. one thing i do find funny.
a patent /copyright is just an idea. yet you argue people do have ownership of something. even if its just an idea.. but then try to say bitcoin idea is not real........ pick a hypocrisy and stick with it. you cant be right on both sides of a table especialy if a patent/copyright may not even come with any creation cost

This is one of the best explanation i have ever read. i totally agree with you man, with fiat, you don't own it, you just hold it because the Government lets you to, while with bitcoin, you are the only person that has control over your funds directly.

Re: How many BTC Satoshi Nakamoto own?
by
ObroQ
on 11/02/2019, 12:11:23 UTC
I googled it and found he/she own 1 million bitcoin. But I was unable to find out the addresses where his/her BTC is stored. Do you know all the addresses? Is there a full list of his/her addresses? Probably I have googled with wrong keywords.
Thanks in advance.

There have been many speculations about how many bitcoins did Satoshi owned or what was his bitcoin address. Till this day i don't think that is anyone that can answer those questions other than Satoshi himself, so we can speculate as much as we want because we'll never know the answer.

Re: Is it ok to lock your bounty for 4 months
by
ObroQ
on 11/02/2019, 07:21:00 UTC
Ok I received my liker coins this month but unfortunately, I would have to wait for 4 months or the month of May before they let me trade their token, do you think this is ok they never mentioned that they are going to lock for 4 months during the bounty period, what's your thoughts on this?

This is their thread
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5061763

To some extent i can understand locking tokens but that should have been written somewhere in the bounty thread. As it is is more of a form of abuse, since you had only a part of the information when you joined the bounty.

Re: Which coins to invest in for a beginner
by
ObroQ
on 08/02/2019, 13:50:30 UTC
Ive never bought any coins before and am considering opening an account while the coins are low

How would you invest $1000 - 2000

Thanks

if you have no practice and knowledge of trading and you are new to this business. Then at your place I would buy Btc and ETh for a long time and calmly watch it grow.

i would take the same approach. if you have no experience in trading and you are new to crypto, i would suggest buying some coins that are in top 20. Ethereum and Bitcoin would be the first two choices, ut you can sit and analyze the market yourself and see what coin fit's you best

Re: Never regret anything

In crypto currency, Never regret anything.
No point in looking back and saying “only if I had done that.”  Or if only I had sold earlier, instead
Realize you made the best decision in good faith, for every reason that made sense or did not make sense  at that time.
Now it is time to let it go.
Focus on here and now.
That’s where success lives in crypto currency

I like your attitude, and i'm trying to do that too in both crypto life and real life. Never regret anything, when one door closes two more get opened, it's only your choice which one to take.

Everything passes and this will pass! (King Solomon)
The crypto is already in the present and undoubtedly the future quantum science!

I still believe that the crypto market will recover at some point in time. This can take months or even years, but i still choose to hold. I see crypto as a long term investment.

Re: Ico fund raising
by
ObroQ
on 06/02/2019, 17:54:49 UTC
Does the amount of money raised in an ico determine the success of the project??

Is a necessity to do a fund raiser in order to start up a project??

Did satoshi nakamoto and vitalik also started a fund raised??

It does not necessarily determine the succes of the project but it can be a starting point for it.

it's not a necessity to raise funds in order to start up a project. Some projects already had the financial resources to start their project without needing to raise funds
