Re: [ANN] Lottocoin as a SCAM
by
Oden
on 01/02/2014, 13:19:26 UTC
Hi everyone.
Would like to tell you that I have been with lottocoin from the start, but the sad story is that the developers are working together with online casino makers in order to rip people off.
The lotwincasino that they advertise in their starting page is a complete SCAM and rip off, giving you 15 blacks in a raw when you put red so they can harvest as many lottocoins as possible.

The developer 'MrLotto' is saying that we only say these because we are upset that we 'lost money' in that casino (clearly supporting the casino) but in fact, out of the total of 14 million lottocoins I was playing maybe 100K but in many hundreds of games to figure out if it is really a scam or not. Thus I consider 100K lottocoin a very small amount and I do not regret losing it as I found out the truth about that casino, MrLotto and all this coin.

As of now I have sold every lottocoin I had and I advise everyone to do the same as mostly probably the next BIG GAMES they scream about coming in next week are rigged as much as lotwincasino, they just announce many things every week to pump the coin again.

This is only a pump and dump coin and many on the start thread are agreeing with that even if they have been supporting lottocoin from the start.
When they tried to make creative and supporting criticizing, they were sweared at, called that they spread FUD and so on.

As a matter of fact now I am banned from the thread, because they find me 'not supporting the coin' after I have thrown many megahashes at it with the intend to hold the coin for a long long time, maybe even one year plus, with no intention to pump and dump it immediately.

I wish them luck, but people holding lottocoins should know exactly what this coin is about and research more to see that the devs and the online casino owners are somehow related.
They have even bribed one guy to forge the poll results where lottocoin would be added in some important network payment. That guy was having multiple accounts in bitcointalk.org and clicking thru proxies the lottocoin radio button.

This is their way of 'raising' the coin which you can't see in many other coins. I think it is the most rigged coin of all and I advise everyone to get rid of it as probably it has no chance of survival in the future. If you are choosing to hold this, you are choosing to support this network of people that look only into their profit and you will probably not be able to profit. This coin is dubious and I would not trust it for the future.
I would rather keep my money into BTC than buying lottocoin.

Thanks for listening and I know that some other people will come to support me regarding this matter .. also you can read by yourself all the conversations in lottocoin starting thread to see that everything I say is true and they are just sketchy ...

Lottocoin is premined crap with no open book for premined !!! Careful where you put your valuable BTC !

Hello mate.

Casinos are profitable based on maths. So I want to prove you that you are vary wrong.
Just to mention that I dont know that website nor the devs of lotocoin or website owners.

As I checked on website they use American roulette, which mean have dubble zero.

The chances for a Double-Zero Roulette is 47.37% on Red or Black and 5.26% on greens (2.63% on each)  (source)

So I wrote a little javascript code to take for example 100000 spins (with that odds) and count how many times the same color picked in a row.

And here are the results:

Code:
Picks Percentage Same in a row
Red 47.508 12
Black 47.242 17
Zero 2.673 2
DZero 2.577 1

Of course  you can check my code and run tests here: http://jsfiddle.net/4Q65v/1/

So, giving you 15 times in a row Black, its normal! Its simple maths and chances.
You probably used Martingale strategy to earn some easy cash, but those strategies in long term fail cause of the edge on roulette. (thats why they have zero(s))
If you had more money to afford to double your bets on every lose then you can win that edge, but its impossible.

I dont know if you have gambling problems, you know better, but get a pen and do some simple maths. Then accept it. Smiley

My 2 satoshis.

Hi

I rented "Mining rig #31 ***Sincytial Rigs #1*** 7970"

It has not hashed at all since I paid for it.
I have tried it on 2 pools and nothing

It says mining on the rig page but its not mining on my pools

Please help
Same here for rig #233

Is over 20min that says mining but shares are zero!

Ok. It seems that rig has gone down for some reason (these are both in the same rig). I'll be able to check in person in about an hour and get back to both of you when I get it fixed. After that I'll make sure to get you both extra mining time to compensate.   I'm also going to get teamviewer set up tonight so this won't happen again.
Ok I'll wait for info.
Thanks mate.

EDIT:
Got Mux to add free hours to your leases to make up for the downtime.  Cheers!

Oden and Mudge, I was able to get back to the rig and restart cgminer which seems to have fixed the problem.  The logs indicate that the rig stopped mining at 1:01pm central US time and got back to its job just a bit after 4pm.  I have no idea why it stopped since the computer wasn't frozen and drivers didn't seem to have crashed, but I'll get teamviewer up and running for my phone so I can take care of this stuff faster in case it happens again (naturally the rig ran 100% uptime for the last week until I was an hour away from it).
I'll get both of your leases extended to make up for the downtime.  Sorry for the inconvenience!

Are you sure that we are talking about the correct rig right? #233
Cause I cant see any shares :S

tbh, I had given up to figure out this bizarre issue with my hashrate & stats started on late Sat and had switched to another, since I couldn't not explain as why this is happening.  I mean i see cgminer and cgwatcher reporting shares being submited regardless of being accepted or rejected and I knew the address was correct ( god sake is a copy and paste and had checked many times) but yet I couldn't get any stats reports from either MC or any third party programs. even put up those screen shots so maybe someone might be able to explain better as to what's happening, also tried to mine with a new address for at least 12hrs to see anything changes but nothing change same thing, cgminer reports submitting shares & etc...

I was pretty darn sure that the issue was not on my side, since I had checked every point of failure I could have thought of it at my peak moment of frustration , hence it got me suspicious of the pool on Monday. So today I jumped into accusing h2o prematurely since I couldn't explain it any other way and also saw few people reporting similar problems. But arguing  with you guys today got me curious as to why this has happened and got  me interested again to try to figure this out, could have simply walked away from it and not waste any time.

so finally decided to take the rig down, delete both cgminer and cgwatcher, flush the dns, clean %appdata%, reset the router & cable box. Made a fresh bat file and ran straight it from cgminer ( without cgwatcher) on the same old address just to test it.

being doing its thing for roughly an hour and woala....

middlecoin or any other reporting stats sits are reporting back correctly. I'm confused as hell, at the same time feel ashamed for accusing h2o ( my apologies). first thing first, I take back everything i said about robbing, the issue was on my side all along even though i don't know if it was a bug or a hack. still wondering where the shares being submitted to Huh

kudos to you sir!!

Just a Notice to my render (#50)

You point my rig (1.4m) to a pool with diff 8!!
This is unefficient! Please choose at least 256 or vardiff pool!

Thanks!

People here to have to start realize they're wasting 15 GH/s hashpower every hour mining dust.

All I do is trying to make you understand that h20 is a scammer who is taking A HUGE part of your profits while he can't even maintenance the database. So now as a temporary solution he raised difficulty to 1024 instead of fixing SQL script. From my eyes it looks a like an amateur has coded it.

A 14-year old kid could do better.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------

I also would like you to know I'm still taking invitation requests for my invite-only pool. Price is currently at 0.02 BTC to help make sure profits stays high.
We are always mining the most profitable coins, which is about 2-3x higher payouts than middlecoin.

Let me know if you're interested. You dont wanna miss this offer.

ohh again and again the same story....

give us some screenshots with those payouts witch are 2-3x higher!!

Sad to say but you are wrong. The hashrate displayed on the pool is calculated from the amount of shares accepted so if the pool shows a similar hashrate between two people, it means they have submitted about the same amount of shares. Hence, they are submitting shares at about the same rate.

What comes to the uber profitable coin it could certainly be true if we only looked at a very small time frame but we are infact comparing several days. There is no uber coin in existence that could create a 10-30% difference in 3 to 5 minutes, not even if there were several of these situations as Bob still has a higher overall hashrate.

Oh thanks for the clarification. Smiley

Hey all. I've been on this pool a long time, haven't compared numbers in quite a while.

However the recent "let's talk about payout" caught my interest, as people reporting .01/mh or even .015/mh are way outperforming me. Like, up to 2x, that is considerable and a little worrying. I'm averaging something like 0.0075/mh.

So I poked around a little.

Here's two different users, for example:

This guy, let's call him Bob, has a steady 19 mh/s or so, and has been around since Dec 16th-
http://www.middlecoin.com/reports/1ACruk5rrJmGTkP7UyyoqGDLNZTHzkqviY.html

And this dude, Let's call him Frank, has slightly less, maybe 18 average, and just started mining on the 7th-
http://www.middlecoin.com/reports/1FxziX77LiZLZxhdXMWREMQVMyjbDmCubw.html

So these are roughly comparable hashrates, with comparable reject ratios, but Frank (the newer, slower miner) is absolutely trouncing Bob on the payouts.

WTF is going on here?
(And yes, I know all the usual explanations, but I don't think any of them actually apply to this specific example)

Hello there.
Let me put down my thoughts on this but first I need to address that I am very new on this "mining" scene.

All of you, measure your hashrate as one unit and then you start calculations and compare graphs.
I think this is completely wrong. Each card has a x hashrate. Middlecoin has a fixed vardiff at 512.
This mean that a low hashrate card will be very difficult to have shares against a fast card.
So, having this in mind, consider that Bob has some rigs with many low hashrate cards while Frank has less and faster cards.
On some coins Frank will have share faster than Bob before the coin switch.
Another example is that for 3-5min Bob lose connectivity or has more rejects than Frank but in this time-frame we mine the most uber profitable coin ever.
Frank will have more shares than Bob even on 3 hours average graphs gives the same hashpower.

My conclusion, with so many vars you cant handle/investigate/guess why Frank earns more than Bob or the opposite.

I hope I am not wrong. Thanks.

I seem to be getting repeat disconnects for some reason.

cgminer keeps telling me "connection to pool 0 interrupted" and "lost [x amount] of shares due to stratum disconnect on pool 0"

Anybody else having this problem?

I have no problem at all with eu server.
My strategy is:
  • eu.middlecoin.com
  • middlecoin.com
